14. A New Goal!

Regina looked towards the entire pack and yelled, "From now on, I'm the leader of this pack. And my first rule of the pack is to stop all attacks we had planned against all. For those who disagree. LEAVE. NOW" She looked at them and glared.

"Are you asking us to kiss the feet of those wand wielders missy?" One of them yelled. He too was one of the cannibals like Greyback and did not like what he heard.

"I ordered you to cease all aggression. If you have a problem, you are out of the pack." She said while looking at him with cold eyes.

"Hmph, your weak mentality will doom the pack." The man muttered and left, with others soon following him. She said nothing and waited for more to leave. After sensing none who wanted to leave were left, she spoke, "Begin preparations to leave this camp. It's not safe for us here." She said to them, getting nods.

"You have done well" Regina heard a voice behind her, causing her to turn back, and come face to face with the one who provided her with the power.

"... Your Highness." The words left her mouth instinctively. The entire pack looked at the scene dumbfounded, yet no one dared to move because they felt the being before them was not someone they could afford to attack.

"What is your plan, Regina?" He asked.

She thought for a few seconds and said, "I plan to move the pack away from the country. Fenrir has caused too much damage, and the country has a kill-on-sight order for all werewolves, making it dangerous for everyone, especially the cubs." She spoke.

"... Very well" He spoke, as his shadow expanded behind him and a dark hole opened with stairs leading in. "Enter the path, and it would lead you to one of the abandoned magical forests of Britain. Follow your path, and show me what you can achieve." He spoke to her.

Regina looked stunned for a few seconds, then gained a spark in her eyes and bowed to him. "I will not disappoint you for granting me this power, milord." She spoke.

"I wish you luck." The being said vanished in front of them, while the tunnel remained.

Regina stood up and yelled, "Get everything ready to move to our new home. Quick." She spoke. No one questioned the absurd things they witnessed, as they were too scared to question someone like her, and went away to pack up.

"... Rina?" Regina heard behind her and turned to her brother. Regina's ears and tail had disappeared, and her height shortened back to her previous state. She sat down and hugged her brother.

"We are free Hati, we're free." She spoke and comforted her brother, who hugged her and said nothing. Regina looked towards her father's corpse but found it missing. She then turned towards the black tunnel and wondered what was going to happen to her life from then on.

*Back to our Emminece in Shadows*

"Agh" "Ah" "NO" Ryan heard fearful cries but didn't pay attention. He was too busy focusing on maintaining the damn corridor linking to Britain. As for the voices, he left his shadows to handle the Werewolves who had left the pack. Dark Corridor was one of his most taxing spells, depending on the distance between the points. One of the two spells created by mimicking Shadow Manipulation. The other is Fade, a short-range teleportation spell.

Ryan brought Fenrir's body outside of his inventory and laid him with the other corpses and spoke, "Arise" All werewolves stood up and bowed to him. Ryan waved them into his shadow. While Fenrir was powerful, he wasn't good enough to be named. Ryan put their bodies back in his inventory for research, for analyzing the bites as well as the reason Fenrir was so different from the rest.

The reason Ryan was able to power up Regina was because of the sub-skill Food Chain. It allowed him to transfer some power to evolve her. The purple fire that surrounded her was his doing, to gain her some time to complete the evolution and make it look cool.

Ryan didn't have any reason to send them to Britain but thought it was fine to have a backup other than his shadows. 'Well, I guess I should look for a Vampire as well.' Ryan thought.

Rather than a vampire, Ryan was looking for half-breeds. Half-breeds were discriminated against in both, wizarding as well as Vampire societies. Unlike Werewolves, Vampires were like an entirely different species from humans, so while Ryan was confident making something better than Wolfsbane with Aria's help, he didn't know if that was possible for Vampires.

After all, Humans were their literal food source for them, and except for the newly transformed, no one of their species would take kindly to him creating some alternative for human blood. That's why he didn't want to get involved with vampires.

"Any suggestions Aria?" Ryan asked.

[While you don't care for how the world might view you, master, having people who support you in society would be helpful for making you live without annoying flies trying to belittle you everywhere. The world follows two paths when faced with someone powerful, either have them under their thumb, or 6 feet under the ground] Aria replied, and Ryan nodded. Even though he didn't care for Britain labeling Grim as a dark lord, he was indeed annoyed, like a fly constantly buzzing around him.

"For getting a favorable position, I need something to make them feel I am worth working with. They won't bat an eye on some nobody." Ryan muttered. He waited for all Werewolves to leave, then left to report to the captain about Greyback's death.

*2 months Later*

Ryan looked at the Parthenon in mild awe. He was not in awe of the building, no. He was in awe at the peculiar energy he felt in the air. Ryan had put himself in stealth due to Aria's warning about the possibility of the existence of Greek gods, and Ryan was now sure they existed. But rather than getting scared, Ryan felt excited that there were powers beyond just wizards. Ryan now had another goal, to be strong enough to not be bound by some wannabe god.

But that would take time. Ryan had not progressed much in terms of power as he had in terms of magical abilities and their applications, and these little tricks won't matter against someone too powerful. He walked away, looking for delicacies to be eaten in Greece, wondering if Gluttony had made him a foodie and if an octopus would really taste good. The only animal meat he had ever eaten was chicken and fish in his previous life, so Ryan was a bit scared of trying something new since his taste buds were also enhanced, but decided to give it a try nonetheless.

Ryan got information from Aria about Regina disguising some werewolves as residents in different towns thanks to a hypnosis tool he had left with her and slowly establishing ways to gather resources to ensure the pack's needs before she would start working in the underworld according to how her father used to work.

Ryan looked at the star-filled sky outside the hotel room which he was able to enter due to looking like an adult thanks to the metamorph vampire he had found not long after Fenrir's death. The sky reminded him of the first time he opened his eyes in this world. A weak helpless child to a dark lord in the making. Ryan chuckled at the thought and picked up the book he had bought in the Magical market of Greece, and started reading it.

[Happy Birthday Master] Aria said after a while, snapping his concentration.

"Eh?" He spoke confused, then looked at the phone he had bought, which showed 31st July. "Oh... thanks Aria." He spoke, not sure how to feel.

[Master, a gift package has appeared in the inventory and seems to contain a message and an object.] Aria said, surprising Ryan.

"What? How?" He asked, now alert, unsure how something could appear in his personal dimension.

[Master, the back side of the letter says 'Your Benefactor', and 'Sent from the True Void'] Aria spoke, making him realize who had sent him the message.

"Open the message." He said to her.

[

Young One,

I understand you may have found yourself in an unfavorable position in the other world, but it was necessary for you to face it else your powers would have reached into your head and you would not have ventured out of your home. Also, the particular lineage would also give justification for the origin of your powers. You must have realized by now that your world is different from your knowledge. These are the two gifts I send you and hope these would help you out in your life.

From, Just an Old Fool

]

Ryan read the letter and chuckled at the end. Ryan knew that he truly wouldn't be what he is now if he had stayed in a mansion. And as he had said before, he already got another chance, why should he ask for more?

"What about the gifts Aria?" Ryan asked.

[It seems to look like a grail, and there is a note with it that says-

'Holy Grail- Able to grant wishes depending on the amount of mana stored within it. It also says the first wish has already been made and there is a warning to obtain them away from people.'

] Aria said to him.

"Huh, well, no time like the present," Ryan said and opened a dark corridor. He appeared back in Britain, quite away from London. Ryan expanded his senses and sent shadow birds to scout the area, and found no people nearby.

"Well, I guess I'm ready," Ryan muttered after checking the area.

[Then give the order, sir.] Aria said.

"Do it." He took a deep breath and said. Ryan was pushed into his mind by Aria so she could start opening the gift package of god.

After a few seconds, Ryan's eyes glazed over, and mana burst out of his body in massive amounts, releasing energy levels similar to an explosion. The burst of energy flattened the area and resulted in a minor quake, which reached London.

Thus, his efforts to avoid the Ministry of Magic from detecting him had failed, as all sensors in the ministry went haywire, making them panic.

They ran around like headless chickens until a supervisor came to calm them down and analyze what had happened. Many people were scared of the sudden quake, which still generated aftershocks. Various organizations also sensed the energy spike and tried to understand what was happening.

As for the person generating said phenomenon, his body was changing at a rapid pace, becoming something more than just human. The light died down after a minute, and Hadrian's body flopped onto the ground, still leaking mana. But after a few seconds, his mana went into his control and stopped leaking.

He floated up, but his eyes were still glazed, indicating Aria was in control. She made him wave his hand, which negated all mana around her, making it so that no proof of Ryan's mana signature remained. A shadow portal opened under her, and she went inside, which opened into the bedroom Ryan was staying, at which she laid him down to rest and adapt to his changes.
