"Come on, don't look at me like that, you are making me embarrassed" Henry waved his hands helplessly at how Alex was looking at him.

Alex sighed and relaxed on the couch, he didn't know how to feel about this new side of his dad, he suddenly now wanted the stern-looking father package to return.

"So tell me, how did you find your way back here? I was told that the location for your school trip was quite far away, so please enlighten me on your return details" Henry said calmly and threw a canned beverage over to Alex.

Alex caught the drink and took a sip, mm, was a nice temperature, just perfect for the occasion. Alex's impression of the so-called technology improved after seeing how convenient it was.

Thinking about his dad's question, Alex's mind suddenly remembered the driver who promised to be back with his some, he had almost forgotten about him, well, he did forget about him.

"I was found by someone and he brought me back here" Alex replied plainly.

" Oh? So where is this person? why didn't he wait to ask for a reward?" Henry said with a confused expression.

Well, it wasn't his fault, everyone knew that the yeaga family is relatively rich in the country, although their influence wasn't on par with that of the top ten biggest families, their influence still stood in many places in the country, so it was really rare to find people who were willing to help such big families for free, they would at the very least, try to gain recognition of that family.

Unless the person had some other plan in mind, Henry started to get suspicious of the so-called person that brought his son home.

"He said he would be back soon, he wants his son to get admitted into the light wings collage" Alex mumbled with the liquid in his mouth.

Henry breathed in relief when he heard the person wanted such a reward, at least he did not have to be too vigilant about this person yet.

"Ok so...." But before Henry could finish his words, hell broke loose.

Henry was interrupted by his wife's screaming as she rushed downstairs at full speed.

Henry and Alex looked at each other dumbfounded, the two of them moved their line of sight toward the stairs simultaneously.

'Was she that impatient to see Alex(me)??' were the thoughts going through the mind of the two men.

Alex's mom finally entered their scope of Vision, they could see she had an anxious expression on her face and tears were still trailing down her face.

Alex... Alex..ahhh!!

She suddenly tripped over from who knows what and was now falling with horror all over her face, since she was still quite a distance from the ground, so the impact was going to hurt..a lot.

Henry's face grew dreadful as he watched his wife descend towards the tiled floor. He knew that even if he started moving now, he might not be able to catch her because he was basically on the opposite side of the stairs.

Alex didn't even think twice before dashing towards his mom who was still screaming in horror, although he didn't use the speed system or any speed spell, his speed as a core mage was enough to put the fastest world runner to shame.

He arrived just in time to catch her a few feets above the ground, he was now relieved that she was in his arms now, and he felt inner peace.

"What's wrong with you Mom? Do you want to hurt yourself? what do you expect I would do if anything happened to you?"Alex scolded her softly while still carrying her in a princess style, since she wasn't tall plus her pitied figure, it wasn't a problem for Alex to carry her without feeling full in his arms.

Apart from not wanting anything to happen to her, he also didn't want any harm to happen to his little siblings in her womb.

Alex's mom treated Alex's scolding like air as if she didn't hear it. She raised her small hand and gently rubbed his cheek. Alex didn't pull away and just allowed her to touch his face.

"I-i...hic.. thought i-it was a d-dream, I'm so g-glad you are b-back, I w-wont ever let you leave a-again," she said softly as she suddenly wrapped her frail-looking arms around Alex, not intending to let go neither was she planning on coming down anytime soon.

Alex didn't mind either and just went back to his seat while still carrying her.

Henry on the other hand was puzzled and at the same time surprised, from his perspective, Alex had just moved at a speed that was only a bit slower than a speeding bike.

He was surprised how his son gained such speed because the Alex he knew was never an athlete. After all, he had no stamina for it. He thought of any way that his son might have used to achieve such feat in speed but no explanation came to his mind.

The only valid explanation he could think of was that he was really tired and his eyes were now failing him.

So he just pushed that thought off his mind and said"Emily, why are you behaving like a kid now, Alex is already back and right in front of you, did you forget you are pregnant? Do you want to harm yourself, you need to eat and take a bath...." Henry stopped his words Midway because his wife was now glaring at him.

"Henry, another word from you and..." She trailed off her words while staring at her husband with deathly cold eyes.

Both Alex and Henry trembled unconsciously at the sight of her blue eyes that were almost gleaming.

She completely transformed from a doting mother to a dangerous wife, Alex could pretty much see that his dad was scared of this side of his mom.

"Hehe, don't mind me, you can continue as you please"Henry raised his hands in the 'i surrender' posture and let out a dry laugh while looking at Alex with pleading eyes that were screaming 'help me out.

Alex shook his head with an amused smile on his face, he looked down at Emily who was in his arms and was still shooting daggers at his dad with her eyes.

"Mom, you need to be really careful, we don't want anything to happen to you, alright?"Alex said as he started to stroke her hair gently.

And those were the magic words Alex used to seduce his mom as her expression instantly took a hundred and eighty degrees.

She smiled brightly and nodded in obedience like a little girl in front of her parents" mm, I will be careful".

Even Alex was taken aback by his mother's mood swing in a fraction of seconds, Henry was even worse, with his helpless face he said in his mind 'I am not even sure if am her husband or Alex is anymore, I'm jealous, well since he's our son I guess it's ok'.

"Ahem..when are you going to get down?" Henry asked with an awkward smile on his face as he rubbed his tempo.

"None of your business" Emily shoot back and Henry immediately shut his mouth, no longer completing what he was saying.

Alex looked at both of them and smiled, sure, having a family was a good thing, especially a family as lovely as his.
