18 not the old alex

"She's fine, she just passed out from tiredness, she's going to wake up soon," Alex said then turned around to his dad " so how are you doing dad? You look tired also" Alex said to him.

Henry's expression loosened up a bit as a small smile formed on his lips, but this change did not last more than a second before everything faded like it was an illusion, his serious face was back again.

Of course, this little change didn't escape Alex's eyes, he saw it completely even though it only lasted for a millisecond.

"Alright, I will be downstairs, come over when you are done here," Henry said, turned around, and Left, not closing the door.

Alex shook his head at his father's stern attitude, he didn't want to admit to his feelings for fear that his girlish son would become girlish forever if given too much affection. Alex could feel that deep within his dad, he cared for him, but he was just too indirect.

Alex placed his mother's head which was by now resting on his lap on the pillow nearby. He stood up and walked to the door. Just before closing it, he turned and looked at his 'new' mother again, a sweet smile spread over his face before finally closing the door and going down.

While going down the stairs, Alex couldn't but think of everything that was now going on around him, although he was older than everyone here, he now had to live as a child of this family, he could not just leave as it would cause another wave of panic to his new parents.

And honestly, he had no intention of letting that happen, not after seeing just how much they truly cared for him.

His doting mother, who seemed to be an overprotective and loving mom according to his memories, and also his father, who was trying to hide his true emotions behind that poker face of his that had betrayed him just a few minutes ago.

There was also the guard named August, who turned out to be the only guard with a good relationship with himself.

To crown all these were his still yet-to-be-born little brother and sister, he wasn't going to leave them just because he wanted to explore the world, he promised to teach them how to be mages and make them the strongest, second only to himself.

And by chance he started to get bored of everything, he would just take them and they would try to explore the multiverse, he was also thinking if he could visit his old planet, it would be possible right?

He was also curious about his school, his old world had sects but not colleges, although Alex felt they were practically the same, just the difference in what they taught.

Alex didn't think all the knowledge and stuff that he needed to know here would be a problem for him.

The only problem he could see right now was that his reputation at school was very disappointing and not suitable for his personnel, getting red from the teasing of such ugly mortals, being bullied by weak mortals, and also being seen as a lonely and pitiful person by those damned mortals too.

The previous Alex couldn't even fight back, hehe, this Immortal wasn't going to take all that bullshit, he was going to change all of those, it's payback time suckers!!

The notification came again and zero instantly ditched Alex again.

"What's with that grin on your face" Alex heard his dad's voice that seemed to have come from a few meters ahead of his position, although Alex did take the voice seriously, his body unconsciously straightened up.

Alex was surprised, he wasn't scared but his body was reacting to this fatherly Aura that was coming from his poker face dad.

"Have a seat, let's chat for a little while" Henry gestured for Alex to sit on the couch opposite him.

Alex walked slowly towards the couch and made himself comfortable, although Alex was looking calm, his body was restless as his dad kept staring at him like he was being stared at by a predator.

'This man must be a very dangerous person from the type of pressure he is emitting, as expected of the Lord of the jeaga family' Alex couldn't help but think to himself.

Although Alex believed he could defeat his dad without needing to use any of his powers, that gaze of his still earned Alex's approval.

Sigh!

A sigh left Henry's mouth, he sat up, leaning forward a little, he looked really tired.

"I got a report from your school that you suddenly went missing during your school trip" he looked at Alex for some seconds before speaking again" they reported that you might have been wandering around on your own and probably got lost.

He paused again and scanned Alex with his eyes, for some reason, Alex appeared to be strangely calm and composed to him.

He then asked," tell me, was that report correct?" 

Alex looked up at his dad's calm yet intimidating black eyes" yeah, it's correct" Alex said nonchalantly while still staring at his dad's jet-black eyes, not blinking.

Alex's body wanted to pull away his gaze but Alex forced himself not to, he had to show his new father that he was no longer dealing with his sheepish son.

Alex could tell the surprise that flashed through his dad's eyes, truly, Henry was surprised by his son's sudden change in attitude, he firmly believe that this same Alex would have been trembling by now and just lowering his head in fear.

'I think I acted out of habit and didn't expect it would follow' Henry thought to himself.

Well, all his intuitions would be true if it hadn't been for Alex(max) that was in front of him right now.

The father and son pair just kept staring at each other for almost a minute, not blinking for once.

Henry laughed comically like he had found something amusing.

He rested his back on the couch with this face that seemed to have undergone an imaginary transformation from his usually stern face, he now had a satisfied face as he kept on laughing.

Alex couldn't explain how weird he was feeling right now because of the sudden change in his dad's domineers.

"So you finally matured huh, Alex, hahaha, that's good, very good, I am glad for that," he said while laughing.

After a brief pause, he continued" you probably wouldn't understand, seeing the successor of the jeaga family being intimidated so easily by almost everything, you don't expect me to be happy about that do you, I always thought the family would probably come to its downfall if passed on to you with that sheepish tendency of yours" he smiled widely at Alex" but now, you even entered a locked stare with me and I am happy with that development, not many people would Dare to do such, I can feel your confidence and it's convincing, very good" Henry said with a pleased expression.

Alex just stared at him blankly, Alex had already realized the reason for his stern character towards his son but hearing him rambling all about it still made Alex's brain stop working for a few seconds, he even sounded proud of his actions, just how pathetic can you be?' Why don't you just create a robot to suit your taste then?' Alex thought.
