19 Resurrection

I am at the iconic scene, hidden of course, just in time to see Miles looking at the broken "goober" and talking about some brooding shit. I had seen the movie many times and I couldn't be bothered to listen to his lines with my [Enhanced Senses] skill.

I let the scene play out. Old Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) from the different universe came and scared Miles by putting his hands on his shoulder. They had a full-on conversation which obviously now that I am far away looks weird. Peter reveals how he has been spiderman for many years and Miles asks old Peter to teach him.

I scoff at this, seriously...This old Peter sucks! Going into depression and gaining weight for such a small argument is so weird. I do understand him and his reluctance to have kids, so I just feel pity for this Peter who just had to fall for MJ *eye roll*. Everyone has their own opinion and MJ coldheartedly ending their relationship instead of talking and trying to understand Peter's view pisses me off. In a relationship, the couple should try to have more discussions on this matter and get to know each other's views on family matters, if they still can't reach a middle ground then they should consult a third party that they are comfortable talking with, for example, Aunt May.

This Peter with a Potbelly is a Failure in the words of the famous YouTuber from my old world. Spider Gwen would be a better teacher for Miles. But whatever, now I see that the police have arrived.

Miles in a panic uses Potbelly Peter's web shooter to escape. I remember clearly how he shoots a web at the train and then they successfully escape so I don't bother tracking them with my senses. They would be safe.

The police are still searching for people in the area but thanks to the chaotic duo they are now going further away.

I get down from the tree I was hidden in and go to the tombstone.

Hmm...I feel like I am missing something...

Oh yeah! I should change the carapace to the original blue and red costume of Spiderman, I wonder if I can recreate the "you are me, I am you" pointing finger meme hahaha.

Holding in my snicker I imagine the suit in my mind and [Carapace] recreates it instantly.

I crouch in front of the tombstone and then realise late that maybe I have to be in contact with the corpse...

"I will have to dig him up?....This....it doesn't feel right..." I say with a complicated face. Couldn't they have just left the corpse in the open? How unreasonable can people be?

I am just kidding, I just feel annoyed that I will probably have to yank the coffin out and then open it. In my life as Soren, in my family's tradition, it was more common to burn the dead bodies instead of burying and this was infact my first time that I would be touching a coffin(not counting Aunt May and Uncle Ben's coffins from my memories. My Soren's memories are more dominant anyways. I only remember my life as Peter as if I had watched a movie so I didn't have any feelings attached to them).

Well...I stopped worrying about it, and using my superstrength, first I easily removed the stone slab. Then I proceeded to dig out the earth on top, which was still quite loose. Probably because the confin was recently buried. In 2 mins tops, I had taken out the coffin from the hole in the ground. The whole place was a mess...but worse was that I was covered in mud...I controlled myself and distracted myself from the mess and opened the coffin.

What I saw was a younger version of the Pot belly Peter I just saw earlier. He was peacefully laying there with hands crossed on his stomach and closed eyes.

Forgetting everything else, I touched his skin on his arm with my finger, I couldn't tell whether it was cold or not cuz I had obviously made gloves for myself. I ain't touching the dead with my bare hands!

"There were conditions?" I said in a confused tone while raising my right eyebrow.

[Starting Resurrection]

The whole world around me went dark, I was in a room kind of like the room where I go when I die. It was only me and the lying body of Peter with a black fog hovering over him.

Then the fog faded away and I could see with my [Enhanced Senses that his heart was beating again and blood was returning to his face and body.

Immediately after, I was back out and in front of the coffin with Peter. He still seemed to be unconscious but everything else seemed alright.

"This was the first time I tried resurrection. It seems that it has a chance to fail too...If it fails can I try again till it succeeds? Could that be a bug? Well, I will try it later, let's get this big boy out first." I said in contemplation and then lifted Peter out of the coffin.

I was about to drag him to a tree but I noticed how light he seemed so I just hung him over my shoulder and then placed him against a nearby tree.

'Appraisal'

[Abilities: Superhuman Strength(degraded), Superhuman Speed(degraded), Superhuman Reflexes(degraded), Superhuman Durability(degraded), Healing Factor(very minor)(degraded), Spider-Sense(degraded), Wallcrawling]

[Abilities able to be integrated, if 1ml(minimum) blood is consumed, using [Adaptibility]: None. Available abilities are inferior copies of some of the host's abilities]

'Huh? Is the system constantly getting updating or something? [Appraisal] is now able to tell what my [Adaptibility] can help me get. Well, in any case, it cannot be said that it was unexpected that I had higher growth potential. My guess is that [Adaptibility] had something to do with purifying the original abilities to the peak. If this is true, as it seems, then this is so OP!'

"Welp~ that was anti-climatic...I guess I should put the coffin back in and clean this place up, otherwise, it will keep bothering me." I said and started by putting the coffin back in place then I put the sand in, finishing up with the stone slab.

I was done in 3 minutes.

"Man...this OCD is a pain...but I don't mind I guess. I feel satisfaction after cleaning up so I guess I am kinda okay with it." I grumble then after pickup up the light Peter under my arms I started swinging.

I want to welcome Peter back to the world of the living in a better place. Maybe a building top near this universe's Aunt May's house? I imagine he would like to see a familiar face soon after getting up...
