Chapter 31. Jesee

"Dammit!" He cursed as he stopped. Behind him were four guys. They were all in the second stage and were of the Third Grade. The guy who spoke was of the second stage and was a Second Grade.

He was a wind elementalist standing at 6' tall and black hair and brown eyes. This was Jesee. The other guys were all his surbordinates.

They had taken Karl's anger to heart and were willing to do anything to get his forgiveness. It was because the were weak they had to run away.

They were going to find every detail about that guy who dared shame their leader. Were they not feared by their peers?

Even those of higher stages had to be careful around them due to Karl's identity. But a nobody dared to attack them!

"I want you all to go in your separate ways and find intel about him. I will keep an eye on him," Jesee said and the four left.

He headed out pretty sure where to find them. He entered the Marshal pit, [ Marshal pit -the stadium as it was called], and saw the group of three.

' Busy counting your newly found wealth, heh, enjoy while you can,' Jesee jeered in his mind as he proceeded to take a seat two rows behind stealthily.

He set his ears and listened to their every communication.

" How come you had so much beast cores? You were out for only six days?" Aurora asked.

"You two missed a great adventure. Next time we should go together," the guy with black hair replied.

"I need to know what we missed," the other guy with reddish black hair spoke.

"It's a long story though, but I was asleep for two days and hunted seriously for two days. The first two days, I managed to kill only two beast," the guy with black hair replied.

" What was happening in the first day?" Aurora asked.

" I first encountered a red lizard without any cultivation. I actually didn't think that it would attack me but that dumb creature did and broke two of my ribs with its tail," the guy with black hair recounted.

" You mean you broke two ribs and you couldn't run?" Aurora asked.

" I just couldn't run from a beast with no cultivation when I am in the second stage, can I?" The guy with black hair responded.

Jesee almost pounced at the guy. He tricked them into thinking he was in the middle stages. And they as a bunch of 20 cowered from a second grade?

That was actually an important piece of information he had acquired there. He now knew that they no longer had to fear him. The five of them were enough to bring him on his knees.

"You mean you were chased by a bunch of 20 beasts without cultivation?" The other guy with reddish black hair laughed as the guy rubbed his nose and continued.

"That was when I encountered my real nightmare. That hyena really almost killed me later but I should thank it for killing the twenty lizards that chased me." The guy with black hair spoke.

"You know that you risked it all and you did not even have any healing pill with you, don't you value your life?" Aurora asked and the guy just scratched the back of his head smiling sheepishly.

Jesee was getting more annoyed. Why was she acting like she cared about him? That was something he was going to make that guy pay for.

"Can you believe it that the cave I chose to recover was the Hyena's den?" The guy asked with a light laugh.

" You really were fucked up bro..." The guy with reddish black hair said but he could not stop his laughter.

'Suits you well,' Jesee thought slightly happy to hear those words.

"You broke two more ribs?" Aurora asked. She even slapped his back. "People die, you know?" Aurora continued her ridicule like a big sister.

Jesee saw it differently. She was laughing with him and being comfortable. She even freely hit him. That position was supposed to be assigned to Karl, not a nameless bastard...

He grit his teeth and it was only that he was on a mission or he would have stepped forward and crippled him immediately.

"You ate a hyena?" The guy with reddish black hair laughed that his ribs cracked. "How does hyena meat taste?" Aurora continued to dig deep into the wound the other guy had created.

" I ate it all and fell asleep and when I woke up I was fully healed," the guy with black hair replied.

Jesee almost choked. He ate a whole hyena alone? That small body of his ate that whole hyena? That was something he could not beleive. Not in this life.

" Some things I will keep secret from you at the moment though, you will find out sooner about the major breakthrough," the guy with black hair spoke.

"Is it about the inscriptions?" The other guy said.

"What do you mean inscription?" Aurora asked.

"He..." The guy with black hair caught the other guy on the neck and blocked his mouth. He only let out muffled sounds

"What is it you are hiding from me? You don't trust me?" Aurora asked.

Jesee wondered what they were talking about and watched as the guy did some gestures infront of him and Aurora jaws dropped.

"Ooh..." Was all she managed to say. What is it they were talking about. Jesee was left wondering as the guy with black hair stood up suddenly.

"I have to check-in in the mission hall and get my rewards, you guys heading that way?" The guy with black hair asked and they nodded.

"I will go take the mission you took and give the cores you gave me," the guy with reddish black hair spoke.

" You are too lazy," Aurora spoke.

" Nah, its called critical thinking. Since no one got a third stage beast core, I will give two and get my points. Pretty awesome right?" The guy with reddish black hair spoke triumphantly.

"I should give a fourth stage core to Aurora so you can burrow your pride," the guy with black hair spoke and removed a fourth stage core from his pocket and gave it to Aurora.

Jesee raged. That guy trying to act cool infront of Aurora? Did he think that that would make Aurora fall for him? What a joke...

Aurora picked the core and pinched his chin.

"Aaww, thats very kind of you," Aurora spoke her lips pouting. The guy just brushed her hair and placed his hand on her shoulders and put her's on his back as they walked towards the library.

Jesee shot up from his seat but he maintained his calm. Even death was not going to make up for the anger he felt. They would have just broken his legs and let him go as a crippled but now, the evidence pointed that he deserved nothing but death.

He arrived a while later after they had entered the library. He wanted to remain low key so he could not let them suspect him. He climbed to the first floor and saw them at the mission hall.

Aurora was taking a mission together with the guy with reddish black hair. The other guy was filling in and he received his points.

Jesee could not help but feel slightly jealous. The fourth grade beast core gave him 1600 points. His jelousy was taken over by anger.

Having garnered enough information about them, he left the library and went back to the stadium. His gang should have found something about him.

He sat in the same position but it was not until sunset did his gang arrive. They appeared exhausted but one could not miss the evil smiles they had as they reached him. They surely had great news...

"What did you find out?" Jesee asked immediately they sat down.

" I found out about his dorm and classes," a guy called Blaze spoke. He was a wind elementalist too. " Firstly his name is Alaric. His background is unknown.He used to take smithing classes and array classes. He is from the Amazon dorm and he is in room F.7R.7

"He is a first grade lightning elementalist and had taken a mission recently where he got the beast cores they he had been auctioning." Blaze finished.

" I found out about how he met Aurora," a fire elementalist called Kane started, " He and his friend went to the female dorms and that was where they were jeered by Aurora and he took action on her.

" People say that she gave her heart to him at that moment. She ran to her room after the guy left due to her embarrassment. They say the following day she made a move on him and they started being lovers then. Till date they are in love," Kane finished.

Jesee was boiling in rage clenching his fist that his nails pierced his skin. Only death was the suitable punishment.

"I found out about the other guy's classes and dorm. Firstly his name is Reynolds Fernades the fifth son of the leader of Phoenix Sect. He only took smithing classes and his dorm is F.7R8. He is a fire and darkness elementist," a water elementalist called Roni replied.

" I found out about how he met Aurora, it was that Alaric guy that introduced them," another water elementalist called Brian spoke.

" That is enough. We have done our background check now lets go to boss and create a plan.

"So thats the way it is?" Karl spoke. He sat on the chair and his gang on the floor. They nodded in confirmation. "Anything else you would like to add about him?"

"I found out that he is only in the second stage and he has not filled any meridians," Jesee said shocking everyone in the room.

" I wonder what artifact he used to increase his aura with such great height. We will take it after we kill him," Karl spoke.

" I am bothered about his background though, if he can afford such an artifact means he is not to be taken lightly," Jesee said.

" We just have to be discreet in our actions and even his background won't help him. That guy Reynolds is lucky to come from such a sect. We can't afford to touch him," Karl spoke

" Isn't it funny how the two from a high background just made friends with a guy with no background?" Jesee spoke

" He thinks he is safe due to his friends background? What a joke, hmph!" Karl spoke and scoffed...
