26 The Flying Ship.

Alex headed toward the grand hall where everyone had gathered. 100 disciples that passed the big mountain step climbing test were there. Thirty elders, including five high-ranking ones, were present. Only one person from the core sect was there, Old Chang. As Alex entered, he felt the hostile gazes directed at him. He scratched his head in embarrassment and apologized, explaining the delay in getting his weapon ready. He stood close to Chang Li, seeking comfort in his friend's presence.

Old Chang nodded and began to speak. "We are heading to Shadow Carnage Sect, a low-ranking sect that had the audacity to adopt the name Carnage. Such an act cannot go unpunished. Our goal is to exterminate the entire sect. The elders will handle the higher-ranking members like the sect master, while core disciples, and inner disciples will be left for you all to deal with." he said it to the disciples.

Confusion spread among the disciples. "Elder, how can we defeat core disciples? Isn't that impossible? Even if it's a low-ranking sect, their resources should be superior to ours." he explained.

Old Chang smiled. "You haven't explored the world yet, so it's natural that you don't know. The difference between low-ranking and top-ranking sects is vast. For instance, if a servant disciple from our outer sect were to join their sect, they would immediately become an inner disciple. Similarly, an inner disciple joining their sect would become a personal disciple of one of their elders. You can learn more about this in the pavilion. But for now, let's hurry and get going."

As Old Chang prepared to leave, his attention was drawn to Alex. "Zhi Li..."

Alex initially didn't respond as he momentarily forgot his new name in this world. But then he remembered and looked at Old Chang. "What can I help you with, Elder Chang?" He bowed his head respectfully.

"WHAT IS THAT YOU ARE HOLDING?!" Old Chang's voice boomed, his aura exploding and exerting immense pressure. Alex feigned struggle, pretending to be overwhelmed by the force, even though he couldn't actually feel shit right now. Around the hall, disciples gritted their teeth, struggling to maintain their stance under the pressure even if the aura wasn't directed towards them they still felt.

With tiles cracking and the aura cracking down, Alex acted as though he was feeling the weight of the pressure. "DO YOU KNOW WASTING RESOURCES IS A TABOO IN THE SECT?! NOT TO MENTION ACTING SO COCKY IN THE FACE OF WAR! DO YOU THINK WAR IS A JOKE, ZHI LI?!" Elder Chang's rage was evident.

Alex's display shocked the crowd. Everyone's eyes were on him as he held his sniper rifle. Some sneered and chuckled, thinking he was a fool for bringing a mere toy to a serious war situation.

Struggling under the pretended pressure, Alex managed to respond, "E-Elder Chang, this w-weapon is from my hometown. I haven't l-learned anything from the sect yet. I trained with this weapon for years before entering the sect. That's why I b-brought it. I will c-change it once I learn more about other weapons. Please, don't worry, Elder Chang. I'll correct my mistake."

Elder Chang's anger still lingered, but he remembered how quickly they had decided to send this inexperienced group to war. Sighing, he released his aura, allowing everyone to breathe easier.

Everyone also looked down in shame and looked at their weapons, they lowered their heads, they chose any weapon they liked and because it was cool without even knowing how to use them at all, this would spell their doom very fast in the war, but now it wasn't time to change it.

Chang Li rushed to Alex's side. "Are you okay, Big Brother Li?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Alex assured him.

With the matter settled, Elder Chang directed everyone to follow him outside. About a hundred disciples joined him in a spacious area. Elder Chang demonstrated a few gestures, summoning a toy ship into his hands. With a single word, "Enormous," the ship expanded to a gigantic size—around 1,000 meters long. The disciples were awestruck by the sight of the immense flying vessel.

Excitement and awe filled the air as disciples marveled at the ship.

"What is this?"

"How did he do that?"

"How???!!"

The disciples watched in amazement as Elder Chang created the massive vessel seemingly out of thin air.

Alex was in that team right now, he has never seen something like this in his life, he looked at the pirate-like ship and said "(This is so cool oh my god.)" He wanted to understand the actual build for this ship, how it was made, and everything about it... he suppressed his engineering mind instantly.

But then, Old Chang released his aura, enveloping everyone. He floated in the air alongside the disciples. he looked back at elders The other elders followed suit, floating effortlessly as like they were some kind of Zombies..

Onboard the ship, a grand cabin awaited with many rooms for rest. However, everyone preferred to stay outside, gazing at the world below them.

Elder Chang addressed the disciples. "This treasure is known as the Sky Carnage Ship. It's the lowest tier among these vessels. Only the Sect Master had access to the top-tier ships. These ships are produced in the Central Continent, which means we can't manufacture them here. Well, we could, but our blueprints were destroyed by those bastards. So, these ships are precious. If you become strong enough, you might earn one for yourself. There are only three hundred of these ships in the sect. Now, rest. We'll be airborne for the next three hours."

With a final boom, the ship ascended higher into the sky. It had already been floating, but now it soared even higher, leaving the treetops below.

As the ship soared, the disciples couldn't help but be amazed by the view and the grandeur of their surroundings.

Alex, too, was captivated by the breathtaking scenery, realizing the incredible world he now found himself in.
