Chapter 1

The room was enveloped in silence as Duan Cai slowly stepped into the classroom. His golden eyes slowly gazing across from one side of the room to another. His hair was shaggy and white with tint of blue that highlighted his bangs and his body was wearing a black pair of jeans and a white shirt that cut low enough to expose the top of his chest. On top of Cai's head sat a black leather bowler hat that was tilted back as he slowly walked across the room to his desk.

Sitting down he could feel everyone staring at him. He knew he was dressed differently than the previous Duan Cai would normally dress, but he could not dare himself to wear the pervious Duan Cai's style. There was only so far that Cai was willing to denounce himself from being who he really was regardless of what others from this world would think of him. It was not just the fact that his outfit was different that he was getting stared at anyways and so he just accepted that he would add on to the pile of looking different. Aside from his outfit his body had become more toned and taller then it was before causing the girls in the room to all flush and stare while the men all glared at him or stared simply out of curiosity as everyone took a moment to realize who they were even looking at.

"Is that Duan Cia?!"

"It can't be..."

"What happened to him the past few months?"

He could hear them whispering about him again as he sat there silently in his chair. Some of the comments towards him were jokes that he could tell were suppose to be insulting while others were compliments, especially when it came to the girls in his class. If Duan Cai had been a child he might have reacted to it all, but being who he was now he had no interest in what the mortals thought of him. Duan Cai was not the type to be interested in children's gossip.

"C-Cai... are you feeling better?" a small girl asked as she stood beside him and blushed deeply as she had a hard time keeping herself from staring at him.

From Cai's memories he glanced over the girl to recall her name. Shea was a small petite girl. Her eyes were blue and she had long sandy colored hair that she kept pinned back with a pink flower pin. From a simple glance he could tell that she was the very innocent type. Her personality was to be very kind to everyone around her so Cai could easily tell that she was simply trying to make sure that he was alright. From what he could gather about her personality his sudden change probably caused her to feel worried about him because she was very aware of everyone around her and could tell the slightest changes in someone's personality. It was almost enough to make Cai feel worried she might notice more about him, but he shook that worry aside.

"Yes, I feel great. Thank you, Shea." He gave her a friendly smile and she smiled back at him as she nodded in response.

It seemed the girl felt embarrassed to be near Cai cause she could not stop blushing and had a hard time thinking of what to say next to him.

"Are you alright, Shea?" Cai asked her as he watched her. His eyes flicked a slight golden glow for a moment causing Shea to feel sucked into his gaze for a moment before shaking that feeling away.

"Yes! Thank you!" She quickly turned and darted away from Cai as she felt her heart couldn't handle it if she stayed near him any longer.

Her innocence is amazingly high... Cai almost felt amazed by how pure the girl seemed to act around him. Communicating with humans was something that he was finding to be rather amusing to do on earth. It seemed that no matter what he did or said he would naturally find all sorts of reactions from various people. There was the pure and innocent type like Shea and then there was the brutes from the underground society that he had somehow managed to find himself ruling over without the regular people in his life realizing.

"PING!" "PING!" "PING!"

Cai slowly pulled out his cellphone to check it a text suddenly came across it.

[Boss, Cai!]

[Lester wants to visit you tonight at the mansion.]

[What should I tell him?]

Sighing inwardly he thought for a long moment. Since he had become known as the Royal Dragon in this world the man known as Lester from the Yang Sect has become obsessed with the power that Cai has. It was not that the man wanted power, but that he had personally been saved by Cai. When Lester was injured in a fight and left to bleed to death in an alley Cai had simply found him lying there barely conscious and in pain. Duan Cai felt nothing towards the dying humans as a deity, but the left over humanity from the previous body owner seemed to surge forth at that moment and cause him to feel something like sympathy towards the dying man.

Human emotions made Duan Cai feel uncomfortable, but since he had merged into a human's body it seemed to him in the moment he had met Lester that emotions was something that he was bound to experience now every once in a while. It was not something he looked forward to. If it was not for the mere sympathy at that time he would not have been forced to take pity on a dying human and kneel down in a puddle of what he hoped at the time was rain water to use healing magic on Lester to save his pitiful life. After healing the man he had even helped him up and let him borrow his bed that night to make sure he did not die on the street.

After a long pause as he recalled the memory of their first meeting he sighed and replied.

[Let him do as he wants. I will be at Inferno Nexus tonight.]
