Introducing Anna Green

Anna Green didn't let the closing bell ring twice before running out of the classroom to her place of work. She ran to the dressing room, kept her bag in one of the lockers, changed from her school uniform into her work uniform, and tied her hair in a ponytail. Anna was blessed with long, dark hair, matching her rectangular face and silver eyes.

"Anna, we have a new order," Her Boss called from the restaurant.

"Okay, Mrs. Beatrice. I am coming," She shouted. She kept her school uniform in the locker, closed it, and ran out of the dressing room.

Mrs. Beatrice had already finished packing the chickens before she got there.

"Deliver this to 15 Herrick Avenue," She said, handing it over to her. Anna collected it happily and ran out after bidding her goodbye. She went to the bicycle parking lot, climbed on her bicycle, and drove off with the chicken behind her.

Anna Green is a student of Savior's College but had to work after school to support her parent's small-scale businesses.

She got to 15 Herrick Avenue and realized it was a game house. She parked her bicycle in a safe place. She picked the chickens from the bicycle and footed towards the game house.

She met a group of boys outside the game house and asked if they were the ones who ordered the chickens but they shook their heads.

"How can somebody order chickens to a place like this? How do I know who the customer is without even knowing his name?" Anna complained, looking at the inscription, "Game House,"

After wasting a few minutes outside, she decided to go inside and look for the customer.

She got inside and found even more people in the game house. The game house reeked of alcohol. There were boys and men inside, playing games and having fun. She got more shocked seeing young girls of her age beside the adults, kissing them and allowing them to smooch their breasts.

"Hey! Who ordered chickens here?" She asked loudly but it seems her voice was not loud enough because nobody spared her a glance. She got frustrated and decided to return the chickens to the restaurant.

Anna felt a grip on her hand when she was about to leave the game house. She stopped in her track and turned to look at whoever was stopping her from leaving.

"Hey! Girl. Do you want to sit with me and get paid?" The man inquired, glaring at her with lustful eyes and licking his lower lips shamelessly. Anna saw what he was doing and shook her head. She had expected something like this already.

"Get your hands off me," She commanded with a threatening tone.

"And if I don't?" The man asked with a smirk.

"Prepare to sleep in the police cell for some nights," She said, bringing out her phone from her pocket and pretending she was about to dial a number. The man got scared and let go of her hands.

"Go! I was only joking with you," He said, walking away from her. Anna sneered and kept her phone back in her pocket. She shook her head and was about to walk out. Her eyes landed on a girl that was being dragged upstairs by a group of men. Without asking, she knew what they were planning to do with her isn't right and it wasn't a mutual agreement.

She hid behind one of the pillars in the game room and climbed the stairs gently, trying hard not to make a sound. She was able to get to the room the girl was taken with the help of her noises.

She quickly thought of what to do but nothing was coming. She removed her cap, fiddling with her hair. She finally thought of a plan and knocked on the door immediately but there was no response.

She knocked again but there was no response. She removed her shoes and hit the door harder and the door was opened angrily.

"Who is...," The guy who opened the door tried to talk but Anna interrupted him, pushed him aside, and ran into the room. Strangely, he was the only one with the girl.

Shock was written all over Anna's face as she stared at the girl who was already half-naked on the bed. She looked like she had been knocked out with a smack. "What are you trying to do? Do you want to rape her?" Anna asked, looking at him unbelievably.

"Eey! Let me give you some money. Go home. This is meant to be discussed between adults. Go home and do something better," The man said in a hoarse voice, removing a few dollars from his pocket and throwing it at Anna.

"I don't want your money and I am not going to allow you to do what you intended to do to her. What kind of a man are you? Don't you know this is one of the crimes in the country?" Anna said, trying to lecture him. The man got angry and placed his hands on Anna's shoulder.

"Shut up and get out while I am being nice because I don't mind doing the same thing to you if you don't leave the room now," He declared, widening his eyes in anger.

Knowing she will be in trouble if she delayed by a second. She raised her leg and kicked him in his groin.

The man wasn't expecting the sudden attack. He fell to the floor and was writhing in pain.

Anna took advantage of the moment, carried the flower vase, and knocked him out with it. She removed her shoelaces and tied his hands and legs with them and dragged him into the bathroom.

Though it wasn't easy, she managed to put him in the bathtub. She hurried out of the bathroom and locked the door.

She quickly closed the room's door and rushed to the unconscious girl. She made sure she was still breathing before taking out her phone and dialing the police emergency number, informing them of what was happening.

As soon as she dropped the call, she heard a phone ringing. She searched for it and found a phone in the girl's pocket. It was her father calling and she picked it up.

"Hey, Kate. Where did you keep your phone? Why haven't you been picking up your calls?" Her father said, sounding annoyed.

"Sorry, this isn't Kate. She is in danger. A group of men tried to rape her," Anna explained clearly and she could feel the fear in the father's voice when he finally spoke up, "Where are you?"

"In a game house. 15 Herrick Avenue. Please be here on time," She said and the call hung up. She stared at the blank phone and breathed heavily. She could only pray to God to allow the bad man to lose consciousness for more minutes.

After 30 minutes, a police siren could be heard and there was a commotion in the game house. Anna stood up from the bed hurriedly and unlocked the door. Policemen trooped in, pointing guns at her. She got frightened and fell to the floor. The reporters also dashed in, taking pictures of every living and non-living thing in the room.

"Drop your weapons. I am sure she was the one who picked up the call," A bass voice said, sending shivers down Anna's spine.

"Where is the man?" He asked and Anna pointed at the bathroom door, shakily. The policemen unlocked the bathroom door and went to carry him out. They were stunned to see him tied in that manner.

"You are an intelligent girl," One of the policemen said and they left the scene, leaving Anna, the man, and the reporters. A group of doctors walked in almost immediately. They covered Kate's body and took her out hurriedly.

Anna realized the child whom she saved isn't just an ordinary person but who could he be?

"Thank you so much," He said and left the room, leaving the reporters with Anna.

Anna couldn't answer any of their questions. She adjusted her clothes and also walked out. The reporters hissed angrily and also left the room.

Anna didn't tell anyone about what happened. She got home after work and went to sleep immediately without eating dinner.

'The Next Day

Anna woke up and was surprised to see her parents in the living room. Their eyes were fixed on the television and they seemed to be interested in whatever they were watching. It was surprising because her parents always call watching television joblessness.

She was about to greet them when her eyes landed on a familiar figure on the TV. She covered her mouth and widened her eyes in surprise.

Who could it be??
