What Is Your Name?

Luthiel arrived at William's chamber, and the moment he walked inside, William, who was seated on the chair with a book in his hands, shut it and stood up from the chair to look at him.

"Where have you been, Luthiel?! You have been gone all morning!" He questioned and Luthiel stayed quiet for a few seconds thinking of a lie to tell.

"I was out training with Yennefer." He replied with a straight face, and William slowly arched his brow at him.

"Oh…is that so? Well, I looked for you in the training field, but I couldn't find you there. Care to explain why?" He tilted his head to one side, and Luthiel stood staring at him.

"I, um, forgot to tell you, but I held training today in another place. She was still sick from last night, so she wanted to avoid the sun."

He explained, and William nodded his head at him with narrowed eyes.

"I see. Well, I am sorry if I sounded a bit off, but, uh, my father was looking for you." He said, and Luthiel, who was not at all bothered by his tone, bowed to him, and with a turn, he walked out of the chamber, leaving William to facepalm himself in instant regret.

He reached at the emperor's private library, and with the announcement of his arrival made, the emperor gave his permission and the guards pushed the door open for him.

He stepped inside, and they shut the door behind him.

He bowed deeply to the emperor, and the emperor, who was seated on his chair across the table, signing letters, raised his head to look at him.

"You're here." He said, and Luthiel uttered not a word.

"Well, I called to ask how the training with Bellegard has been going."

"It's going well." Luthiel replied, and he slightly nodded his head.

"Has there been anything off about her lately?Notice any changes?" He pried and Luthiel shook his head at him.

"No," he replied.

"That's good. Well, I would prefer it if you doubled the training. I don't have much time on my hands, and I am starting this war in two months. So double her training hours and train her faster."

He ordered, and Luthiel bowed obediently before turning around and walking out of the library.

'Could he have someone watching Yennefer's movement?' He asked himself along the way, finding his questions back there a bit strange.

His eyes narrowed vehemently, and he returned back to Williams's chamber.

————————

Yennefer's hands moved, and she began to stretch her body while yawning heavily.

She blinked her eyes open and sat up on the bed, feeling quite dizzy.

She gently rubbed her temples, and suddenly, recalling what had happened earlier, her eyes widened, and she looked around to see that she was laying on the bed.

"Luthiel?" She called, and a groan from someone flew into her ears, causing her to quickly turn her head.

Her eyes fell on Damian, who was seated with his hand supporting his head and his hair falling over half of his face.

His lavender eyes glanced at her, and a smirk formed on his face.

"You!" Yennefer exclaimed and quickly jumped down from the bed.

She grabbed her sword and pointed it at him, a look of vigilantness visible on her face.

"You're very silly! I am not going to kill you. I mean, if I wanted to, I would have done so when you were fast asleep. And also to say, you snore quite a lot,"

He clicked his tongue, and, definitely aggravated by that word, she grabbed her slipper and threw it at him.

"I do not snore! How can you say that to a woman?" She scowled at him, and Damian, who had caught her slipper before it could hit him, began to cackle.

"I apologize." He smiled at her, and now realizing that he wasn't going to do anything to her, Yennefer put down her sword and let out a soft breath.

"What are you doing in my room?" She asked, and Damian tucked the few strands of his hair behind his ear.

"Well, a certain someone asked me to babysit you." He replied, and knowing immediately that it was Luthiel, Yennefer darted her eyes around.

"Well, I am awake now--wait a minute; how are you here? I thought you were locked-"

"Someone freed me." He replied before she could finish her words, and thinking that it was her, Yennefer furrowed her brows at him.

"I didn't mean to free you! It was an acci-"

"Oh no! You didn't free me, although you sort of partaked in it, but still, you aren't the main reason I am free."

He cut her off, and Yennefer stared at him.

"I see… So what are you going to do now?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" A bit confused, he raised his brow at her.

"Well, you were calling me for help, which is why I came down there, so now that you are free, what are you going to do? What about the Emperor? He is the one that locked you away in there, no?"

She inquired, and Damian kept staring at her with a look of confusion on his face.

"I think you are mistaken. I never called you..." He shook his head at her, and now puzzled, Yennefer scrunched her brow at him.

"What do you mean? You were calling me! You even led me down there, so what exactly do you mean?"

She asked, now getting very confused, and Damian, who was perplexed as well, gazed at her with his brows arched.

"You do know... that I am not the only one being locked down there, right?" He asked, and Yennefer immediately furrowed her eyebrows at him.

"What do you mean?" She inquired.

"Well, I am not the only one locked down there. I guess I was just lucky that you opened my casket instead of freeing the one who called for you. Quite hilarious, I must say."

He laughed, and Yennefer vigorously fluttered her eyes.

'Since he is not the only one locked down there, who else is?' She pondered and turned her head to look at him.

"What is your name?"
