Confession

There was a strong gush of wind and the familiar voice of hope broke the trance they were in, "I will have you return my students."

All Might's voice helped them regain their consciousness and brainstorm about the situation they were stuck in. They were here to help him.

Help Bakugou. It would've been easier if there was just a villain around him but that wasn't the case.

"Come on," Y/N muttered, "something. There has to be something that we can do. He's all alone there with six other villains. We need our guts now more than anything else." She noticed Midoriya's eyes fixed on ground as he was muttering to himself just like her. Concentrating on his words, she realised that he was already devising a plan.

"I...I think-" Midoriya started whispering turning to his classmates. But Iida immediately held his hand tightly and interrupted him, "You can't fight. I won't let you."

"No, I think there's another way. A way that won't involve any combat and would let us escape. Come on, we can still get Kacchan back!"

"Tell us your plan," Todoroki said.

[ TIME SKIP ]

Not once.

Ever since he got together with them, Bakugou didn't see Y/N look at him even for once. When the plan was in progress, Y/N was supposed to follow their movements and arrive at the place where they were supposed to crash. It was clear that with the amount of damage All For One did in the surrounding buildings, there wasn't going to be a safe landing. And to be honest, none of the four boys have the right quirk to land safely anyway. Y/N arrived at the spot and was supposed to catch them using her quirk with her water prison move, without the water rotating.

And she did, however, it took a lot of energy out of her since she also used her quirk to arrive fast at the spot. She was too tired to walk by herself. With the help of Iida, she walked and stopped in front of the station like the others.

Bakugou observed her the whole way. The thought of why she would be here with the others bugged him. His mind drifted back to her words - "Stop being so reckless. It...scares those who really care about you."

A light blush covered his face. Oh yeah, that's right. Y/N...talked about it before it happened. Was she talking about just herself?

He watched Iida holding her waist while her arm clutched around him for support. Bakugou walked towards them, and looked at her. Well...more like stared at her.

Y/N felt his presence and looked down, and clearing her throat she said, "Hey Iida, um...I'm fine now."

"Absolutely not. You can barely stand-" he stopped noticing her face and waited for her to say something.

"I mean, you can see how we didn't talk right?" she smiled sheepishly.

"Sure," he looked at Bakugou. Taking it as a signal, the blond walked towards them as Iida walked away, giving them some space.

"You're doing fine..." Y/N chuckled weakly, "Good to know."

He walked closer to her and stared at the giant screen on a building in front of them that displayed All Might's fight with All For One, "Why did you come?"

That's what Bakugou is like right? On the surface? Just as expected he came to the point. Y/N held his arm for support, and said, "You want me to say it...to your face?"

Both looked at each other for sometime as Y/N continued, "You know why. We talked about it and you.."

He looked away quickly and muttered 'fine'. He moved forward to get a closer look at the fight displayed on the screen. Y/N quietly walked behind him and rested her head on his back.

"What are you-" he stopped speaking when he felt the back of his shirt getting wet.

"Just..." her voice quivered, "just don't speak for a moment. Give me some time."

Finally.

A sense of relief washed over as the emotions burst out of her. All these feelings that she has been supressing the time after Bakugou got kidnapped. She didn't let even a single drop of tear escape her eyes. The guilt of not being able to do anything was still there though.

Bakugou felt his heart beat faster. What was it this time? This feeling? He couldn't understand what he felt so nervous about. "Hey Todoroki just helped us dry ourselves. Don't-"

"I like you," she whispered in the tiniest voice he has ever heard from her. "I never got to say it."

She felt his posture tightening. "I promise I won't get in your way," she said, "just...don't be reckless."

Hearing a number of gasps and surprise around herself, she looked around.

"Is that...All Might?"

She quickly turned her gaze on the screen and her heart stopped for a moment. There was All Might...standing with his real body. The whole world was watching him. Bakugou or even she herself, were not in a state to think about their conversation at the moment.

Bakugou felt Y/N's fist tighten on her shirt and a nervous sigh escape from her mouth.

"Did...did you..know?" he asked.

There was no doubt in it that it was directed to her. And Bakugou waited for her answer. Something that would clear her out from his doubts. Anything, really. He didn't want her to be the one to know about it.

But in response all he got was silence.
