Emotions

Emotions

The person in front of him was an exceedingly beautiful girl.

She had long black hairs, intense blue eyes and full lips that needed no lipstick or gloss. It was bright pink and had an attractive shape that one would see heaven if one kissed it.

She was tall, had a snow white body, a pretty large busts and full hips.

When Bai Chen turned to look at the person in front of him, he couldn't help but mutter "Enchantress"

She was extremely beautiful.

Then he wondered what such a beauty that cities would go to war for was doing in front of him.

He greeted her and she amiably responded. Then he asked "How may I help you?"

"I want to be your soulmate" she said with a smile.

Huh?

Bai Chen's brain went off like a nuclear bomb exploded in it. He didn't know what to say.

Seeing the expressions on Bai Chen's face, she laughed. "I was only kidding. I just came to see the most popular boy in the military academy." she said.

Bai Chen's face returned to normal. Then he asked, "Am I that popular?"

"Of course you are. The undefeatable twelve year old kid. You are good. Really good." She said in a commending and admiring tone.

Bai Chen smiled. Then he said "Thank you"

"What's your name?" she asked. "Bai Chen and yours?" he asked.

"No. I am not going to tell you. You should find that out yourself." she said with a smile.

"But how would that be possible? How I am going to found out your name if you don't tell me?" he asked.

"You are undefeatable in the training field. Then you should be able to defeat me at this. So, find it out" she said with a smile.

Then she left or she would pull the attention of the library custodian as she was breaking a rule: No talking in the library.

Bai Chen found it hard to read again. His mind was going back and forth between what happened earlier and the present. He couldn't focus on what he was reading. The girl's face and smile kept appearing in his head.

Since he couldn't read any longer, he put the book back where he took it from and left the library.

"Master, I can sense a change in your emotions" Solaris voice suddenly sounded from nowhere and destroyed the wonderful moment was having.

"What the hell! Solaris you should give me some privacy." he complained.

What kind of entity was this?

"Master it's wrong to have such kind of emotions in your heart at this time. You are still young and you have greater things to accomplish" Solaris said.

"What kind of emotions do you think am having? Am being my normal self Solaris. Can't I just think again and smile. I was replaying a wonderful memory and you disrupted it." Bai Chen said I'm aggrieved tone.

But feeling that he was wrong, he tried to defend himself "Solaris, you want to tell me your master never fell in love with any man?" he asked.

"My master is a cultivation genius. There was no time for emotions. She was always here and there trying to perfect her cultivation methodology" Solaris said.

"Wow! Well, I could say she's probably a cold, emotionless woman. There are male experts out there who may be in her level of power, she fell in love with none of them? Your master is something" he said.

"Master, there were only a few men that were in her cultivation realm and they were not up to her taste. Besides, It's difficult to love someone at a lower realm. She was proud, she couldn't stoop so low to love males at a lower cultivation stage. Also, she was fully into improving cultivation methodology to perfection. So, no time for emotions" Solaris said.

Bai Chen didn't say anything again. He knew if he continued, Solaris might not stop there. Besides he didn't want to offend this 'sentient library', or he would regret it.

He went to his room and began to cultivate profound solar energy.

Days passed silently in intense training and cultivation.

......

On a particular day...

Everyone were gathered.

They were before the instructor who was scanning them with eyes that shone with seriousness.

Then he said. "You all have passed your days silently in training, reading and cultivation. But today won't be so. I want to see some real action. Today, we would send all of you into the Forest of Gloom for your real battle training. In there, you would meet beasts at your cultivation stage. You must kill them and bring back their bodies. We would distribute beast bags to the thousands of you here. Anyone who fails to bring back at least fifty beasts would be sent home. You are not fit for the academy. Such a person should be a farmer or a carpenter."

He looked at them for sometime. Then he said "You have only three months for this. A summoning trumpet would be blown from here. Once you don't make it in three months, the gate would be locked. If you are locked outside, home you go. You are not fit to be a warrior. So journey jeep and not too deep. "

He flicked his index finger and rays of light shot towards all of them that gathered here.

The rays of light were the beast bags.

They caught the beast bags and strapped it to their waists.

"Now, I expect questions. I don't want to believe a bunch of dullards enrolled this time into my prestigious military academy" the instructor said.

Someone raised a hand.

"The hell! Come out here and give me forty push-ups!" the instructor shouted.

Everyone's eyes shone with amazement.

The boy that raised his hand was shocked. Then he quickly came out and began to do push-ups.

"Good." the instructor said.

He came over and placed one of his large legs on the boy's back.

The boy grunted when the heavy leg was placed on his back. Then he continued to push but it became difficult.

"Yes, push." the instructor said. Then he looked at everyone and said "Why did I call him out to do push-ups?"

"....."

Nobody could answer. They were scared of being called out to do push-ups or something even worse than that.

The boy doing push-ups had begun to tremble. His eyes were red. He was tired. And he had just done ten. The difficulty increased when the instructor placed a leg on him. If not, he could have done thirty.

The man looked around expecting a reply. But no one said anything. Everyone was silent except the boy who was doing push-ups. He was the one screaming.

Then Bai Chen shouted "Because he raised his hand!."

"Good." the instructor said. "You don't raise your hands like you are in a school. This is a military academy, not a school. Speak to me like warriors. Not as some scholars"

He removed his leg from the boy's back and said "Up!"

The boy quickly stood.

The instructor looked at him and asked "Do you understand that?"

"Yes sir!" he roared like a frenzied beast.

He nodded his head. Then he said. "Go back to the line."

He turned his head to look at everyone. Then he said "Now, I am expecting a question"

Everyone had now understood why the boy was being punished. They could talk now as they understood what he wanted.

"How can we make use of the beast bags!?" a boy shouted from where he stood.

"Good. That's the question I was expecting. It's simple to use the beast bags. Just kill the beasts, then send your awareness into the bag. It would produce a formless power, then direct that power using your will to the beast you killed to pull in the beast into the bag" he said.

Then he looked around with a smile. But he looked more ferocious with this smile. It gave the student fright.
