23 Threat

Threat

After a few minutes of waiting, no one came out.

Then he told the instructors to put away the energy screens.

He walked to Bai Chen's side and put an arm around his neck. "Alright. Since no one came out, you have won this little competition. You still retain your title as the captain." he said with a smile.

Bai Chen nodded.

He didn't really fancy this position. But he just had to do everything in his power to hold onto it since it came with some benefits.

The instructor looked at everyone. Then he said. "Since all of you feel he is too strong to beat, I suggest you continue to train hard and harder to the point you can beat him. Only courageous and hardworking cultivators can climb to the apex of power in this world. The lazy ones would be brushed aside or killed. So train to your limit and beyond it. Carry on!" the instructor said in a loud voice and left.

After he left, the instructors began to train the kids and the others. Bai Chen too was also being trained.

Except he was able to do what the instructors could. They wondered how he knew all these.

Some of the boys at the moment were looking at Bai Chen with a wicked gaze. While some had adoration in their eyes.

Especially the girls, just some of them anyways. The others looked with disinterest.

These felt anyone who's showy would be brought down in the end. They believe some people would soon surpass Bai Chen.

They felt there were dragons and tigers in their midst and didn't want to reveal themselves. They only let the beasts in them lie for the moment until it was time to roar to the world and strike fear and awe in the heart and soul of everyone.

When they finished for the day, Bai Chen left and went back to his room. He went along with some boys.

The boys he moved with stayed in the room he was also inhabiting. Their eyes at the moment were full of reverence and were happy they had gotten a good teacher to teach them.

There was value for their money, except of course, they were greatly exploited which they didn't know.

Bai Chen was in the second floor of the library as he was given access to come in here by that instructor.

This level of the library was meant for someone in the condensation stage but he got it at the flow activation stage.

The student at this stage were angry. How could that instructor do that?

While Bai Chen was reading, someone came to his side. It was an older looking boy. He pulled a seat and sat beside Bai Chen.

Bai Chen turned to look at this person.

The person was handsome. He had a smile plastered on his face but his gaze screamed of icy coldness and evil.

"Boy, I heard you are an excellent fighter. The whole military academy now knows about you. Congratulations. But I hope you know you won't last. All these glory would be washed away very soon. You could become crippled or worst, die. Haha! Anyways, before that time, I want you to leave here and never come back. Stay in the floor of the library meant for your puny cultivation stage." the boy said coldly.

"Oh really? I am sorry. You are not the instructor. So I can't take orders from you. If you have a problem with me being here. Do tell the instructor about it. I am certain he would do something about it." Bai Chen replied.

"Haha. Playing tough right? I see. That little glory in the training field has penetrated through your skull and into your head. Anyways, I have shown you my mind. If you like yourself, you will listen to what I said and never come here again" he said issuing out a warning on form of a threat.

Then he stood up and left.

Bai Chen had his brows furrowed. "So much jealousy, so much hatred, these stupid clowns have in excess." he said aggrievedly in his mind.

He threw all what the boy said out of his head and continued to read a book that caught his interest.

As he was reading, someone came to him again.

Bai Chen became vexed.

"They should please leave me alone. What's wrong with these shitholes?" he complained bitterly in his heart.

He turned to look at this person with an angry red face.

The moment he saw this person, his angry face disappeared and a bright light of astonishment shone in his eyes.
