Chapter 144

"A milking cow?" Monthe rose his eyebrows, perplexed.

I nodded. "Yes. I asked around town and they are quite expensive here." Although she had money, she was not going to give 50 coins for a milking cow. Maybe 40. "I was wondering if there is a milking cow in your village."

I was definitely not going to buy one in Yellow Leaf Village because those people would rip me off or down right deny selling. I was not going to bother getting heartburn due to their narrowmindedness.

"I have to ask around." Monthe said. His stall was not open yet since it was still morning. He had been preparing the ingredients when I arrived. "By the way, is Lucas fine?"

"He is fine. He just needs to rest and to stop hunting." I grinned at Monthe who groaned.

"How am I going to get cheap and good meat, then?" He grumbled.

"We were actually raising chickens, but some men stole them." I sighed. The first chickens were sold to Monthe actually. Lucas had been very happy about his first sell that he actually bought me some hair accessories. But, the good life ended so soon.

Monthe frowned. "I heard something about it in our village, too. So many people complained that the authorities in Basin Town took action. I'm not sure if they were able to catch them."

Well, it was comforting to know that at least the gendarmes did something. "Anyway, right now, we only have rabbits if you are interested in some sort of meat." I still promoted the other animals we got. It saddened me that they would be killed, but we also needed to eat.

Monthe shook his head. He looked at his stall and frowned. "Actually…" He trailed off, suddenly hesitant. "Can my wife and I go to your house in these days?" He meekly asked.

"Of course you can. Is something the matter?" I hurriedly inquired.

"Ah, no. It's nothing serious. We'll talk about it when we go." He waved off my concern and reassuringly smiled at me. "A milking cow, then?"

Since it was nothing pressuring to him, I followed his lead in changing the topic. "Yeah. And a rooster and a couple of piglets if you find some."

"You building a farm or something?" Monthe looked at me wide-eyed.

"Or something." I cheekily replied, making him laugh. "Here. If you can lower the price for the cow, then it would be better. You can keep the change for being the intermediary." I passed him a pouch with 6 bills. It was better than carrying 60 coins.

Seeing him naturally take the money and nod lifted a burden off my shoulders. I was expecting him to reject it. Fortunately, he knew how to do business.

With things done in town, I headed back. It was a while since I rode on the cart alone. Sunset was already quite big and had no problem hurrying a bit. He still had the scars where those men harshly whipped him to move. Luckily, he did not get sick while his injuries healed.

By the roadside, I saw a couple sat on the ground. Seeing the cart and me, the man jumped to his feet and waved. I had to stop because he got right in front of the horse. Was he mad?!

"Thanks for stopping!" I had no choice because I did not want to hit him. I inwardly rolled my eyes. Looking clearly at the couple, I should not have stopped. "My wife twisted her ankle. We need to go to the doctor in town. Could you take us?"

I had not seen the man that day, but I had seen the woman. She knew well what my answer would be, as she looked down ashamed. "I am afraid I cannot take you. You should ask your wife why. I hope this teaches her a valuable lesson." I apologized to the man and continued on my way.

"Wait!" The man called, but I did not stop.

'Why should we help you?' That was what she had said that day we asked for help from the villagers to look for Lucas. I had wanted to return the question to her, but that would have angered the man. Once angered, what if he did something to hurt me?

I could only quickly extricated myself from that situation. If the woman spread rumors about it, then I hoped the villagers realize I really would fulfill my word of not helping them since they did not do so in our time of need.

Lunch awaited me at home, so I happily let Joseph lead Sunset into the plot while Lucas served me the meal. A rich fish stew with lots of vegetables. They were from the last batch of vegetables we had bought. According to Joseph, once we finished them, we could start consuming our own.

We had also pickled lots of them, so we were not worried about the first harvest not being enough.

While eating, I recounted what happened at the road. Joseph laughed and then explained the confused Lucas why I did that. Lucas looked at me a bit exasperated, clearly not agreeing with my troublemaker attitude, but still gently patting my head.

Then, I told them what Monthe said.

"Should we prepare things in the case they need to stay?" I asked them.

Joseph scratched his head in thought. "We should… right?" He looked at Lucas for confirmation.

"Like what?" Lucas frowned, turning to look at me.

Right. I guess they usually did not receive guests. "Um, extra sheets and soap?" I wondered.

"Can buy those today on a quick trip to town." Joseph volunteered. It was best to have them sooner rather than later, so I nodded. I went to get some money and gave it to him. We shared one long kiss before he left to do his errand.

"If they really stay, I guess they will be sleeping in my room." I muttered. Having said that, I went to get a rag to start cleaning. It was not dirty per se, yet it would not hurt to dust off the room and to make sure the smell of wolf pup was completely gone.

Lucas also got himself to work, specifically scrubbing the place where the poop and my vomit had been. I sunned the sheets while I cleaned the bed, headboard and all. I did not have money in my room, so I did not have to move it. And, I had no valuable things that could be broken by their toddler.

Finally, Lucas cut some flowers from the flowerbed and put them in a small pot with water by the window. The breeze made the smell linger in the room. It was pleasant.

I put the sunned and aired sheets back on the bed, and groaned when I laid on them, all warm and toasty.

Lucas chuckled and sat on the edge of the bed. I cracked my eyes open and looked at his tender and loving gaze.

"It's time to change your bandages." I muttered. To prevent any infection or scalding, I tasked myself with changing his bandages thrice a day. Cleaning and putting medicine on his wounds on the way.

Lucas nodded and stood to retrieve the bandages I kept in a box on the table. It was the medicine box from my Husbands. It somehow ended up in my room and took permanent residence.

The process started with unwrapping the used bandages. Those would be passed through boiling water before being dried and saved. Then, I checked on the wounds. Those that still looked gruesome were smeared with medicine before being cleaned. The rest were just cleaned.

The ones on the head were more delicate, so I smeared more medicine there and quickly bandaged them. Then, there was one on his forearm. My stomach tightened in distress seeing the ghastly gash. The piece of flesh there must have been hanging if the stitches were any indication of its severity.

His torso only had some scratches that were quickly cleaned. Then, there were quite a few scratches and stitched wound on his legs, up from his thighs and down to his ankles.

As I bandaged his legs from bottom to top, I noticed something.

How could I not when he only wore his underwear while I did all the process?

He must have been feeling better to react that way when he had not done so the few times I did it before.

"Want me to do something about it?" I sultrily asked, rubbing my hand on his bandaged thighs and moved them closer to his crotch. He sat on the edge of the bed. I could perfectly help him from my position in between his legs.

His pupils dilated, his nostrils flared and his upper body turned red. "I…" His breath hitched when my thumb slid over his covered erection.

I remembered the last time I pleasured him with my mouth. He had been beautifully receptive and vocal with it. Not as loud as Felix, but still as vocal as Lucas could be.

He sharply grunted when I left open-mouthed kisses to the fully awaken cock. He loudly breathed, letting out gasps and soft moans when I focused on the head as my thumbs softly massaged the base.

"Take it off." I ordered him. He did so as soon as I gave him space. Then, he eagerly sat back and looked at me with expectancy. "So beautiful." I breathed on the leaking slit and lapped at the liquid coming from it.

A keen sound choked in his throat. He hissed when my tongue drew the pulsing veins and played with his balls. His hand shot to my hair when I sucked on the sac and licked some more.

While holding his gaze, I grabbed his hot and hard cock and started swallowing it. When his hips bucked, I retreated. "Not yet, love. Let me enjoy you a bit more."

He nodded and closed his eyes, trying to control his breathing. He failed miserably as he let out another gasp when I swallowed him whole.

Lucas had the thickest cock out my four Husbands, so I had no room to breathe as I held it inside, my tongue rolling around it as much as it could.

I let it go with a gasp of my own, liberally spreading the saliva all over it with my hand. His chest strongly moved to his rapid breathing. I did not think he was going to last long.

Pumping the base with my hand, I started sucking and licking on the tip.

"Belle!" He sharply moaned, announcing his very close orgasm.

I stopped moving to let him do what he wanted. Immediately, his hips started thrusting. Fortunately, he was not that gone in his lust and controlled his moves to not choke me. I did cough when the first shot unexpectedly came.

He did not stop thrusting as he emptied himself in my mouth, short and sharp gasps accompanying each shot.

I knew he was over when he halted and let himself drop on the bed. I let go of his softening cock and looked at his spent and satisfied countenance. A good job done, then.

I grabbed the clothe I used to clean his wounds to dab on the corner of my mouth. He sharply inhaled when I cleaned his cock from the residual liquids on it, clearly still sensible.

"Underwear back on and rest." I said, leaving a kiss on his inner thigh.

When he nodded, I carried the used bandages to the kitchen. I heated some water in a pot I specially put aside for the task of disinfecting the strips.

Felix would then wash them. However, with how he was acting, I thought to ask Joseph to do it. Well, if the teen did not do it, then I would.

Seeing the sleeping pup, I thought it would be a good idea to do the same. So, I joined Lucas in his nap.
