A pet?
I woke up and looked around my room remembering that I have my own room now. I spun my legs from out of the covers and grabbed a clean black dress from my wardrobe and made my way to the bathroom. I walked in and there was a wave of warm air that hit me as I entered. I closed the door behind me and placed my clothes on the rack where the towels were. I walked across the stone floor and dipped the ends of my toes into the water. The temperature was perfect and I then entered the water with my whole body, completely submerging myself from below the neck.
I cleaned myself in the water including my wings which had drops of water sliding off my feathers. After convincing myself to get out I made my way towards the towels where I dried myself and put on the black dress. I then started to dry my hair a little and exited the bathroom.
'I wonder what I should do today.' I thought as I walked out of the bathroom and closing the door.
A yawn escaped my lips as I sat down on the sofa and trying to use a little magic. I used my wind magic and tried to dry my hair with it which worked very well and I used some fire magic to make the air warm. Within two minutes my hair was completely dry and I took the towel back to the bathroom.
I decided I would eat something first so I exited my bedroom and wandered the halls and reaching the dining room. Adele was in there and eagerly said hello to me and asked what I wanted to eat and I told her to just get me something simple.
Adele soon came back with a chicken soup and bread.
"Thanks." I said as I lifted my spoon and dunking it in the soup to then lift up and put in my mouth.
The soup wasn't thick but also wasn't too watery and was full of flavour. I then took a bite of bread which was fresh? I think.
"Adele has this bread been freshly baked?" I asked.
"Yeah it has. I was in the process of making some with Sophie before you entered along with the soup. I thought it would be nice to make for us, why does it taste funny?"
"No it tastes fine. I was just wondering."
"You know that would've been the perfect time to compliment my baking skills. You could have said it tasted great or something a bit nicer than 'it tastes fine'." Adele said going back to her cooking in a separate room in the dining room.
"I don't see why she was bothered by that." I muttered to myself as I finished the rest of the food I had.
I got up and left the dining room and I saw Violet and Kate walking down the hall towards the dining room which I just left.
"Good morning Miss Kiera." Kate said bowing a little.
"Morning." I said as Violet came running up to me and giving me a hug.
"Hi Sissy. Did you just eat?" Violet said looking up at me.
"Yeah I have. I was going to go back to my room and look through some books in my study."
"You have your own study? That's so cool!"
"Yeah I guess, are Azazel, Aiden and Leo awake? If they are you should eat with them. Enjoy your meal." I said as Violet stopped the hug and I walked off back to my room.
Just as I said to Violet I went into my personal study and looked along the shelves when a book about spirits caught my eye. I took the book and sat down at my desk and read through the book. I looked at the areas where there are the most spirits and there weren't any spirits that would that particularly enjoy Barself, the floating country I'm on.
'If I search for long enough will I find one?' I wondered as I got up scraping the chair back and exited the study and my room.
I walked over to my mother's study and knocked on the door. Willoa opened to door and asked what it was I needed to which I replied,
"I'm going to go out for a bit if that is alright with you."
Willoa turned round and I heard my mother say, "You can go out if you want but come here for a second."
I then entered mother's study and saw her sitting with a whole stack of papers.
"What are they for. That's a lot to do." I said glancing at the pile then back to mum.
"That doesn't matter but put this on for me." Mother said passing over a blue bracelet which I put on and the bracelet adjusted to my wrist size. "This will tell me about your location and tell me if your in danger so don't take it off."
"Your worried what happened last time will happen again I assume."
"Yeah I am so make sure to keep it on, okay?"
"Sure, I'll be fine anyway so don't worry."
I left mother's study and walked down the hallway and left the mountain. I jumped of the edge and spread my wings out wide to catch the air for me to then swoop down and fly off. I flew relatively close to the ground just above the trees but I thought it would be best to run through the forests instead so I landed and started running, weaving through the trees.
I was running around with no destination in mind and remembering the route I was taking so I wouldn't get lost. I saw an ogre while I was running so I decided to stop and kill it for some EXP and it was incredibly easy to slice off its head using Adonis and I killed it in one hit.

'My intelligence has gone up, I assume it's from reading some of the books in my study.'
I continued running around the forest and stumbled across a cave where there was a small white and light blue fox but it had two tails and wings. It's front paw was cut along with its back.
'Why does this fox have wings. I doubt that it is normal as I've never read of this before.'
'System tell me it's race.'

"Hey speak again." I said to the fox.
"Can you help me?" The fox spoke in 'Yips' but I could understand so I assumed it was from my skill.
"I guess I could I have plenty of time anyway. By the way do you know where any spirits are?" I said which also came out as a series of Yips and Yaps.
"No." The fox Yipped.
"I'll be back then." I said back.
I went outside the cave and scratched my head.
'That felt weird talking to an animal. Also I thought I could only learn skills if I have the knowledge of it or something. I'm not complaining but I guess all the knowledge I needed was to know I'm speaking with other creatures.'
I went outside and ripped some vines of the sides of some trees and took some big leaves which were bigger than my hands along with a stick. I walked back into the cave and went over to the fox.
"I've never done this before so it's going to look very sloppy and it won't heal you. I'll have to buy medicine and ointment for that." I said to the fox.
"Thank you."
I grabbed a leaf and rapped it around the foxes leg and then got the stick and snapped it into three about the same size as the foxes leg and placed them around the foxes injured leg and tied it all together with the vines. I then got a leaf and placed it over the foxes wound on its back and tied it onto the fox with some vines.
"This probably won't do anything but it'll help you walk a bit. Maybe." I said and started to walk away. "Bye."
"Can I come with you?" The fox asked.
"You have no use being around me." I said not bothering to look at the fox.
"I can be a pet and can sign a beast pact to you. I want to return this favour. Please."
"What favour. All I did was rap your wounds in leaves and vine."
"It doesn't matter. You still helped." The fox said.
"What's the beast pact?" I asked.
"When an animal or beast of a rare or better race wants to sign a beast pact it is a sign of loyalty to the one they wish to sign the pact with. I'll do anything you wish."
"So kind of like the 'master servant' type contact when summoning but you don't summon the creature."
"Yeah you could say that."
"That doesn't sound so bad but what do you get from it."
"Someone that I hope to trust and watch grow strong."
"Terrible reason if you ask me but I'll do it anyway. I was originally trying to contract a spirit but a mysterious fox doesn't sound so bad. I never expected anything anyway." I said, "How do I sign a pact with you then?"
"You have to use your blood and allow me to drink it and then once I say my wish to sign a pact with you you'll simply say 'I accept' "
"Okay then." I transformed Adonis into a dagger and slashed my wrist which startled the fox. "Here."
The fox then drank some of my blood and spoke that she wished to sign a contract with me and I accepted it. The cave glowed yellow and green and a ring of lighting rapped around my wrist and made itself into a tattoo on my skin.
"So that's it?"
"Yes."
"Well I should start heading home so I'll just carry you."
I picked up the fox and exited the cave, taking off into the sky at full speed.
"What's your name." I asked
"Yuki."
"I'm Kiera. Also we should get back to my mountain in about 18 minutes if I go full speed."
"Okay."

I landed by the door to our mountain and when I opened it I saw mother looking at me.
"Kiera your not hurt? Also what's that in your arms?"
