31 The lovely glove

"Hey, Aeldrya, what are you doing with a girl?" Asked the warrior girl.

"Don't tell me, you've taken her as an apprentice?" The priestess approached Limy.

"For the moment… but I have to verify if she is capable of fighting. If she can't, I will make her resign today."

"It's still strange to see you with a girl. How did this happen?" The warrior girl spoke again.

"Well, on my last mission I found her trapped in a house, and because she doesn't have anywhere to go I helped her. Also... some things have happened, also known as Clotpole loose mouth, that ended up making her my apprentice."

"Poor child, don’t you have a family?" Said the priestess as she smiled kindly.

She reached down and stroked Limy's hair. She quickly stopped herself and distorted her smile in a strange way, as if she had touched something disgusting... but without stopping to smile at all...

"Your hair feels weird…” muttered.

‘That’s not good…’

“I have my master,” Limy answered.

“Hmm, now that I think about it, you mentioned him earlier. Who's this master of yours?” Aeldrya asked.

“The person who has been with me all my life.”

“So you have someone to go back with. Well, tell me a little about that person who allowed you to be captured, I will take you with him,” Aeldrya said with her face clouded.

“My master is amazing, he is always hard and likes to be inside me very much.”

—Don't tell them that! Of all the phrases that you could choose, you have used the one that sounds the worst! You really don't do it on purpose?!

The three of them were more stunned than me. The warrior had a face of pure terror, the priestess kept smiling with a strange grimace and a terrible tick in her eye. Aeldrya...

"Limy... I changed my mind, you will stay with me forever! I'm not taking a no for an answer!"

'I feel like I just lost my entire reputation… God, let me cry! I ask for nothing more than my ability to cry!'

Next, Aeldrya took Limy by the hand and walked out of the guild with her. The other two girls decided to follow us, so the four of us, well, five, went out of the city. According to them, they were curious to see what kind of apprentice Aeldrya had accepted.

"As I told you, before I even let you be an apprentice, I have to verify that you can really manage even without being able to see."

She picked up a thin branch that she found on the ground and walked over to Limy.

"Let's make it easy, I'm only going to hit you with this, you only have to dodge the blows. Don't worry, I won't hit you hard or too fast, so won't hurt you too much."

“Understood.”

As she said, she started attacking Limy with the stick. She actually hit pretty slow, though she was still very surprised when Limy avoided her like nothing. Not having sight was a tremendous handicap, but considering that she could know everything that was going on around her, her ability to fight at close range far exceeded sight. She could sense an attack from all directions. At the same time, her agility wasn't low either. Avoiding those attacks was like playing with a child.

"Well, I'm going to do it faster."

Aeldrya increased her speed several times until she was satisfied.

"You have a good skill there. Who would have thought that you would learn such a useful skill thanks to not being able to see. Still, it is still a big disadvantage."

Then, she threw the stick at Limy.

"Now show me how you handle a weapon."

The attacker and the defender were switched. Obviously, Limy's 16 agility points couldn't compete against Aeldrya's 54, so that stick didn't even come close to the elf. Still, that Aeldrya seemed satisfied. On the other hand, the warrior girl watched Limy move in amazement.

"I guess it's not bad,” Aeldrya muttered.

"You guess it's not bad? This girl is almost as fast as me!"

"Really? Limy, do you have skills that enhance your body?"

"No, I do not have any. I only have this,” Limy said, showing her fake glove to the group.

They all stared at her hand with a little disgust on their faces. I can't blame them, it looked like mucus stuck on top of her skin...

"What's that bad-looking thing supposed to be?" Aeldrya asked without losing her disgusted face.

"A magic item."

"Oh! Magic items are rare. Where did you get it from?” The priestess approached, intrigued.

"My master made it."

“Your master…” Aeldrya said, with a wry smile.

"Can we see how it works?" The warrior girl asked, coming closer to see the glove.

“Understood.”

Limy took aim at the three girls and used “her magic glove” before I had time to stop her... Crowds of tentacles were shot at the three girls. Unable to react in time, they were surrounded by them and my reputation, already on the ground, sank below sea level...

“No stooooooooooooooop!” Aeldrya screamed as she was caught.

"What is this disgusting thing?" The warrior added as she tried to get off from them.

"Get that away from me! Get it off me! Noooooooo! Take it off!” The defenseless priestess cried.

—No, Limy, sto...! No… go on… What I'm saying?! Stop right now! But this time is… No, you have to stop right now! Or maybe it's not that much of a problem... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I do not know what I want!

In the end, the tentacles stopped and released the girls, with the only mishap of having all their clothes sticky... The warrior and the priestess ran away terrified, half crying... Only Aeldrya remained, whose legs gave out, leaving her sitting on the ground, staring into infinity. She didn't react for a long time.

‘She will be ok?’

“Limy…”

At last, she focuses her gaze on Limy, with her face a little flushed.

"Your master wouldn't have made another glove, would he?"

Silence reigned for a few moments, as the wind whistled.

—Limy, don’t forget this moment, it isn't something that could be seen every day.

—What is it, master?

—The birth of an erofu… Never be like her.

—Understood, master.
