Solve it together

Wei arrived home mentally exhausted, two annoying encounters in one day, she lamented as she thought of her misfortune of meeting both Chen Sun and Tyler Han today. "Ugh, " she sighed melting her couch, she kicked the shoes off her feet.

"What did Mr. Han want?"

"To marry me," Wei replied too tired to explain.

"What? So he did fall in love with you…" Xo replied running from the kitchen.

"No, my father invoked the lotus seal, now we're being forced…." Wei.

"Forced, lotus seal, Wei?" Xo asked, but Wei was already sleeping, she smiled grabbing a blanket she covered Wei.

"Forced marriage," she said out loudly sighing. Wei had been through so much after her mother's death, her father's indifference, her sisters and stepmother bullying. Xo had been there through it all sharing that pain with her. After college when they got their first jobs and Wei no longer had to rely on them, Xo had thought that everything would be better. She should have known that those evil people would never be willing to let go of Wei, they enjoyed her misery.

"We shall solve this together, I won't allow anyone to bully you." Just then Wei smiled radiantly in her sleep as if she had heard Xo words. Xo smiled "I'll make sure you always smile like this." she replied, patting Wei, head before returning to the kitchen to finish cooking.

"Wei, get up we have to go to work." Wei blinked at the blurry image of Xo standing before her. Rubbing her eyes, she turned slightly, feeling a pain in her back, looking around she realized she was on their small futon sofa and her limbs were hanging off. "Why did you let me sleep in the sofa!" she accused Xo who had returned to the bathroom.

"I tried, but you just kicked and pushed me then curled back on the sofa. Images of Wei kicking and pulling Xo's hair flashed before her eyes. "Ok, ok, get out of the bathroom, it's my turn."

"Make it quick, we have a very important client today, we can't be late."' Xo replied, sliding through the bathroom doors to make way for Wei. "Which important client?" Wei asked as she brushed her teeth.

"I don't know, some big shot the manager and Bia Si were super hush-hush about it." Wei washed her face as she wondered who it could be, Tyler Han flashed crossed her mind and the feeling of dread immediately took root in her heart, but it quickly passed there were too many famous architectural firms in the country for him to choose her company. She found herself thanking the heavens she worked for a small company she could not imagine how awkward it would be to run into Tyler Han.

Wei and Xo walked up the office, they had made it on time with time to spare being twenty minutes early. On their way to work, Wei spent the time explaining the lotus seal to Xo.

"Your father, that bastard."

"Xo, don't," Wei begged. It always hurt her whenever anyone spoke ill of her father.

"Wei, he has treated you like an inconvenience since your mother's death, why are you still taking his side?"

"Every girl needs her father," Wei replied silently. Xo's heart broke a little knowing that the love Wei wanted all this time would be one she would never get.

"Mr. Han isn't the worse, you could do," Xo replied changing the topic.

"He is rich, handsome and that body is built for climbing."

"Shameless!" Wei exclaimed as they broke out into laughter.

"It would be nice to be Mrs. Han." meaning to say it would be nice if she loved him, but before she could finish her sentence, she heard his cold voice dripping with disdain.

"Admitting to your scheme."
