"You must pay with your life," the prince said flatly.
"Ah, but I don't want to," Savine sighed. "Since suicide's off the list, you can only enforce it upon me… which is quite dangerous. I mean, look at Flowerhead over there. Not sure if even I want to take on myself. I could be… quite unfair sometimes."
The Prince wasn't perturbed by her roundabout threats.
"If you can't pay with your life, then dedicate your life to the Sovereignty!"
Savine sensed no lies in the Prince's words. He actually wanted that. Not Savine dedicating her life to the Sovereign in particular, but the betterment of the Sovereignty.
She kind of got what the prince was like now. He was like a good-natured young king. The crown still fresh on his head.
With all this power in his hands, of course, he would try everything to bring good change to his kingdom. But of course, those usually tend not to go so well.
