“Ah, yes, I recognize this neighborhood,” Rabi said. I have been here before. But where is the tower?”

I steered him around a tall tree. “See? It’s right in front of us, just a few blocks ahead.”

“I really have to pee,” Rabi said suddenly. “Do you suppose there will be a bathroom at the tower?”

“Yes, but here’s one right here on the street. It looks like there’s a line for it, though.”

We waited in line for half an hour, Rabi beginning to show his discomfort. It was an automated public rest room. After each person exited, the doors would close, and the room would completely steam clean itself. But this added enormously to the wait time. Rabi’s turn finally came, and he jumped in.

“Wow. That’s better. I don’t think I could have waited too much longer.”
