What is really going on?

-The Slums-

"I love you Jena so stop crying. I'm fine and I'll always be there" James said very softly with a smile on his face. Jena screamed because she kept hearing him talk, she kept seeing him everywhere and it was really tearing her apart, she was tired of the pain it brought but the tears still rolled down her cheeks

"They'll pay, they'll have to pay," Jena said crying.

Ding!! 'The system has noticed that the host is having a hard time gathering other energy because of her unstable emotions and will suggest that the host uses a dark energy technique to cancel out these raging emotions'

Ding!! 'A dark energy technique is being suggested because in this state the host is unable to properly utilize will energy. Naturally, this technique would cost you but I will let you have it cost-free this time, but beware this technique if used excessively could have repercussions, you would most likely run mad or become a cold-hearted monster'

"Wow… Thanks a lot for this, you're always looking out for me. I feel so lucky to have you" Jena said sarcastically as she wiped the tears off her face

For the first technique transmission, Jena barely felt anything. But once the next string of alerts came and the transmission began Jena would've preferred to die at that point. The info just came rushing in and the headache grew worse, she was using life energy to soothe the pain but it still hurt like hell.

The system was simply unperturbed and continued the transmission until eventually, Jena passed out from the pain she was feeling.

Ding!! 'Physical alteration complete'

Now the ring looked way cooler. It became a white ring with various colored substances running through it, the black and white substances kept swirling around each other like the Yin Yang sign but it wasn't balanced because the black was more than the white and the last green substance just kept moving around in a rhythmic pattern.

Ding!! 'Along with changing the appearance to look cool, it will now act as a way for you to monitor your various energy. Now that you're knocked out it's balanced. When you wake up this notification will be played'

-A few minutes later (In the real world), The Slums-

"Hey guys, I'm back and I brought a friend with me. I hope you didn't miss me a lot" Amber said smiling as she got back to the base.

"Sure we missed you, but you know Jena would miss you more. I mean it's not like you spent a very long time completing that mission without contacting her once. She even asked us to go scurrying for information" Luka said sarcastically as he glared at Amber.

"It seems you're slowly getting tired of living right. Don't worry, soon enough death will come, I advise you don't rush it though. Well, I'm off to see Jena is she here" Amber said to him smiling.

"I'm sorry… It's just… Well, I'm sorry. No, she isn't, I'm guessing your search went well" Luka said looking at the guy Amber had brought back home unscathed

"Well, it did. I have a boyfriend now and I'm very sure he's not going to try anything funny with you guys while I'm gone, I don't think Jena would let him live if he does" Amber said smiling at Saffron before suddenly a bright white light enveloped her and she disappeared.

"Well then, make yourself at home I guess," Luka said to Saffron as he left to go do something else.

"From the looks of this place, she wasn't trying to hide so much and I guess that's the white light we heard about. But come to think of it, If that isn't the boss then who is" Saffron said to himself.

Soon enough he sat down and started gathering energy waiting patiently for Amber and her boss' return.

-Jena's Dimension-

"So Jena, guess you unlocked a new ability… Jena!" Amber screamed in shock, seeing Jena on the floor out cold. Amber rushed over to check on her and discovered she was alive.

"Phew for a second I thought you had done something stupid. It's probably the relic that caused this it would explain this new ability I got. I really hope she'll be okay" Amber said worriedly carrying Jena and teleporting to the real world so she could rest properly.

-Shadow banes office-

"Well, well…What have I done to deserve the audience of the esteemed Mr. Daji," Shadow bane said smiling.

Mr. Daji was seated in front of shadow bane. He was calm composed and very poise, but this was a longshot if we were to describe his mental state. He needed shadow bane's help to find the rat that had escaped from his cage.

"I know you need my help but you know very well I don't come cheap. But I guess it's your lucky day, I don't want money this time, I want your help with something" Shadow bane said wryly

"And what would that be…" Mr. Daji said curiously. He had never heard of a situation where Shadow bane wanted something and couldn't get it on his own. It was either he wanted to get it from you or the thing can't be acquired without you.

"Mr. Daji there's a package I need to get and you may be a huge hindrance to this package so in exchange for my help you'll kindly back off," Shadow bane said smiling
