Yellow Stone Village

"Stop! Who are you and what's your purpose for entering Yellow Stone Village?" Suddenly, two guards wearing red armor appeared in front of the carriage and shouted. They had a spear pointing at the coachman.

The coachman instantly stopped the carriage and spoke "We are from Xuan Village. And, we have come here to meet the Yellow Stone Village Chief."

Hearing his words, two guards put down their weapons and asks "Who is that person sitting on the top of the carriage?"

"He is my son." Gu Chen suddenly walked out of the carriage and continued "And, he is the Village Chief of Xuan Village."

Hearing his words, two guards stared at each other with confusion and one of them spoke "Sir Gu, I would like to talk to my seniors."

He wanted to laugh but when he sensed the strong pressure coming out of Gu Chen, he immediately shut up. After all, he is just a guard. And, he also recognized Gu Chen in an instant. Though he didn't recognize Gu Tan.

Gu Chen's words made the people around them stop and stare at Gu Tan with confusion. At this moment, another guard slightly lean closer and asked "Sir Gu, are you sure you are not joking? Telling a lie to the guard can be pretty offensive in Yellow Stone Village."

Gu Chen's lips twitched hearing his words. He narrowed his eyes and released a powerful pressure from his body.

"Yes, yes! Not only did they make the kid their village chief but they also kicked out the people from other villages. I couldn't gather more information on it. But believe me, they really did that."

The guard paused for a moment and shook his head "Shin, we can't believe what you just said. Xuan Village has awakened the Elemental Veins. Why would they give the leadership to a child when they have a proper chance for strengthening themselves?"

"But, I am not lying. I saw that. The whole village was kneeling and congratulating him. I saw that with my own eyes. His name is Gu Tan. And, as soon as he became Village Chief, his father arrested his brother for being a traitor."

The guard looked at other guards and turned back at the man.

"Shin, you were hired as spies. I hope your words won't be lies."

Finally, the guard decided to believe in him but as soon as he said that, another guard came running.

"Captain Youko, Captain Youko, we need you to come to the gate."

"What happened?" Captain Youko raised his head and asked with a strange expression.

The guard took a breath and spoke "A carriage from Xuan Village has arrived. Gu Chen is in the carriage. And, for some reason, he is calling his ten years old son 'Village Chief'. I couldn't interfere in this matter so I came here to tell you."

Hearing his words, Captain Youko turned his head at Shin and stared with confusion. But soon, the confusion turned into a serious expression. Although Xuan Village and Yellow Stone Village aren't friends, they still have a good relationship.

Just the presence alone from Gu Chen needs his attendance. Not to mention, the village chief. Even if the village chief is a kid, he is still a village chief. "It's okay! We can visit it on our own. But, can you help Coachman keep the carriage and let him stay with you?" Gu Tan shook his head and immediately declined his offer. He had already expected this. After his arrival, he won't be able to meet the Village Chief of Yellow Stone Village.

After all, this is not going to be a meeting between friends, it will be the meeting between village chiefs and if they speak something they shouldn't in the middle, it might cause some issues. He might be ready for what to say but they aren't ready.

High-Rank City is controlled by Great Family and there are only twelve of them. Ten of them belong to each respective family but the remaining two are controlled by some other forces like Guilds. The Village Chief of Yellow Stone Village is ninth rank Martial Artist and very close to the tenth rank.
