I only heard of the cursed beasts in books and never saw one but that day, I saw lots of them. The vampires said we were unlucky to stumble into herds of them since they always go alone. The king's men tried their best to defend us but Susan's sister hadn't been so lucky and died in the process, " Lily narrated to her.
