118 Baroque Works

Everyone instantly became calm, and their rage and excitement about catching Captain Hina vanished into thin air almost as quickly as it had entered their minds. Some of them had even snuck away and run.

Uta remarked, "These cowards," as she let go of the pirate's collar, which had passed out while still holding it in her hands.

She finds it gratifying to look around and see the chaos that she has caused. As a matter of fact, Captain Hina prefers doing adrenaline-filled things like this rather than lazing around, and as a result, she has never taken a day off in her life.

"Hey, you there! What are you doing?" When she saw that the pirates she had hunted were being carried by someone, her eyebrows raised in surprise.

The woman in a yellow dress with a pattern that looked like lemons and wearing a yellow hat turned towards Captain Hina while tilting her head as if confused by her question.

"If you want to save your comrade, it's useless, I will take him to prison."

Now the atmosphere in the area is quiet because most people there are only pirates who have fainted on the floor. However, apart from Captain Hina, Luffy, and Uta, there are two other people who are still standing.

"Kyahahaha... you misunderstood me, Captain. I'm just a bounty hunter, and after I checked, this pirate has a bounty of 11 million berries."

It appeared that Captain Hina was not interested in the conversation, as evidenced by her icy tone as she warned, "That pirate is my prey, and I will put him in prison myself, as I said before."

Uta, who didn't want to get involved, made her way slowly to the bar counter, where she sat on a still-intact chair. She went behind the counter to get some juice for herself. Soon after, Luffy also came to join her.

"I saw this pirate just lying here so I wanted to pick it up... have I done something wrong?"

Mr. 5 knew his partner was intentionally trying to anger Captain Hina, so he approached them and said, "Excuse my partner's behavior."

The woman also didn't seem to want to make Captain Hina really angry, so she complied and intended to leave. However, "Wait a minute, I can't believe you two are bounty hunters, and I've decided to take you both with me too."

"Kyahahaha, that's bad, it looks like my joke has gone too far... then I'll introduce myself," she paused to close her umbrella before continuing:

"I am Miss Valentine, and he is my partner Mr. 5, we are both bounty hunters from Baroque Works," with a huge smile on her face, everyone could see that she not taking her current situation seriously.

"I remember now, there are people like them in Baroque Works," muttered Luffy after he thought hard about the identity of this woman who was quite familiar.

"You know them?...Baroque Works, is there such an organization in this Grand Line?" asked Uta, as this was the first time she had ever heard of the organization, despite having sailed with Shanks for quite some time.

Luffy wasn't surprised to find out that Uta didn't know, so he quickly explained how Baroque Works ran and some of the minor details that he still remembered about them.

"Heee, I thought they were something special... but it turns out that they are nothing more than bounty hunters and petty criminals."

After hearing Uta's condescending comment, Miss Valentine and Mr. 5 immediately turned their heads with sharp looks. They even had the thought of teaching the young woman a lesson, but they refrained from doing so after seeing how she and the straw hat boy next to her displayed their abilities earlier.

"Now that our misunderstanding has been resolved, we will go first, and I really hope that we run into each other again." After that, Miss Valentine and her partner walked away, and Captain Hina, who had become somewhat calmer, did not attempt to give chase. Instead, she took a Den Den Mushi out of her pocket.

"I need people on Kyuka Island... yeah, there are lots of pirates here... one more thing, I want you guys to send me all of the information the marines have about Baroque Works."

After finishing her Den Den Mushi, Captain Hina walked into the bar and grabbed an unopened bottle of sake before consuming it voraciously. The liquid ran down her neck as it made its way down her cleavage.

"Those bounty hunters piss me off... moreover, that bitch, I wonder if she will still be able to smile when I throw her into a prison full of hungry men."

While this was going on, on another island, there were several rock mountains with many graves on top of each one. The shape of the hills, along with the graves, gives the mountains the appearance of giant cacti. Because of that, this place is called Cactus Island.

"Mr. 9, do you happen to know how long these tombs have been here?"

A young man with his agent number written on his cheeks and wearing a golden crown on top of his red hair responded, "Miss Wednesday, if you keep asking about trivial matters like this you won't grow up you know,"

The moment they looked at him, people instantly formed the opinion in their heads that this man was tacky. He accessorizes his outfit with a ruffled red scarf and a green suit trimmed with white lace. His attire makes him appear to be a prince or king. However, he is neither of those things.

"But, don't you find that curious? Who are the real identities of the corpses and how they ended up being buried here?"

Mr. 9 would have been too lazy to respond if it had been anyone else. Yet, since she is his partner, and although he has never mentioned it, he thinks that his partner is very beautiful, and in addition to that, she exudes an air of nobility. Hence, he feels obligated to do so.

Mr. 9 is absolutely correct in his assessment of her. This blue-haired girl is, in fact, a noble, the daughter of the King of the Arabasta kingdom, and she is currently masquerading in order to reveal the identity of the individual who is the covert leader of their organization.

"Actually, I don't know either. Even after all these years that I've been a part of Baroque Works, I still don't know... especially our leader, Mr. 0."
