That day, Gion was a little surprised when Makino, who had always been weak and uninteresting before, suddenly became full of energy. She didn't even complain during practice, and Gion could see a strong determination in her eyes that was based on something she didn't know.
In the end, Makino, who had been looking pale for quite some time, suddenly passed out during their final round. But Gion insisted that they continue their final round with Luffy in charge of carrying Makino.
After everything was over, Luffy and Uta, who had previously been able to feel relaxed despite their situation, were now completely exhausted, and their entire bodies were shaking. Even before Gion told them to go home, they had already walked away from the scene first.
"They still have a long way to go," Gion muttered with an unusual smile when she saw Luffy's silhouette with Makino on his back, and Uta, who was walking beside him, gradually disappeared.
-
"Now I have to make a report... *sigh... what a pain... why are those two old geezer so interested in their training results?"
In front of Fleet Admiral Sengoku's room door, Gion still manages to chatter angrily while not forgetting to say rude things to the two marine heroes.
After taking a few deep breaths, Gion knocked on the door, and as soon as she heard a voice coming from inside, she went ahead and walked in. But she didn't expect that there was already one more person inside that she knew.
That person was a tall, slender, elderly lady with silver hair pulled back into a bun. Her outfit, which consists of an untucked shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a tie around her neck, and calves-long pants, gives the impression of being less formal than the clothing worn by the other high-ranking officers.
The epaulets on her marine coat are yellow for the outer and purple with two white dots for the inner epaulets. This indicates she is also a Vice Admiral and is just as well-known as the other two marine heroes.
"Grandma Tsuru, I wasn't expecting you to be here," Gion exclaimed in surprise, and after closing the door behind her, she approached Tsuru.
"I just wanted to make sure there was a good reason for you to be so busy as of late, so I came here to question the two of them."
Garp and Sengoku had no choice but to keep quiet, but it was obvious that they both had great respect for this elderly woman. You could say that they were old comrades who had fought together from the bottom in the Marines.
"So have you gotten a satisfactory answer from these two old?"
Tsuru just chuckled as if she was enjoying Gion talking casually about her two friends, but she then turned serious as she replied:
"I don't know what Sengoku thinks, but I hope he doesn't do anything to Shanks' adopted daughter."
"You teachers and students are both really troublesome, so don't think that I'll just shut up if you keep accusing me, Tsuru," After a moment of silence, Sengoku finally spoke, and while he was adjusting his glasses, he continued to say:
"I only ordered Gion to keep an eye on Garp's grandson and the girl just out of curiosity, that's all."
"Putting you aside, I'm sure this stupid Garp really only cares about his grandson to become a marine, but I can't believe that's your only goal, Sengoku."
*cough
Garp, who had just finished a cup of tea, immediately choked upon hearing that and looked at Tsuru in disbelief, but he didn't say anything. In the meantime, Sengoku, who was standing next to him, responded with a bit of irritation, saying:
"Don't be crazy, I won't start a war with Shanks just because of that."
Gion, who had just been paying attention, made an unexpected comment that surprised the other three people as she asked Garp, "by the way, I'm curious, have you told the red hair pirates that Uta is in this place?"
Sengoku and Tsuru immediately looked at Garp with equal curiosity, but Garp just burst out laughing before replying, "umm... not yet... but don't worry, I don't intend to tell him either."
"Are you crazy, and this afro-haired geezer also intends to train that girl to become a marine."
"Don't blame me, I also don't know if Garp hasn't told Shanks about the girl being in this place," Sengoku replied as a Fleet Admiral who held a fairly high position, it had been a long time since he faced a situation that made his head dizzy like today.
Seeing the two marine heroes and her teacher in front of her become noisy, Gion slowly backed away before walking out of the room. Even after she had left the room, she could still hear the screams of the three of them getting louder and louder, particularly Garp's voice, which sounded as though he was trying to find an excuse.
*sighs
While rubbing her chest, Gion murmured, "I actually want to talk about Luffy, the thing he's showing me lately, especially today, he became bolder."
-
A few days later, what Gion was worried about became more obvious. Whenever she met Luffy, there was always an incident related to sensuality, but every time, Luffy would act stupid and use his child role to the best of his ability.
'I'm not going to let this brat get away with it,' thought Gion as and shortly after they reached the top of the hill they had often visited, Gion then ordered:
"Okay, now, I'll change up our training a bit. From now on, you guys will run at the foot of the hill while dodging my attacks."
"Vice Admiral Gion, can we-" Before Luffy could finish his words, he was the first to be hit by Gion's punch. Meanwhile, Uta and Makino had already run ahead of him.
"Armament Haki! No wonder it hurts," Luffy exclaimed in surprise as he saw Gion's hands that were now turning black, and judging by the smile on this woman's face, she seemed to be enjoying Luffy's terrified expression.
"How kid, do you still dare to do that thing after this?"
