My Home.My Family

ALL I DID WAS TRY TO GET HOME.

The walk home was uncomfortable with my still tattered clothes and worn-out figure I walked through the forest barely covered up. My space bag was probably taken as a token for the beast which attacked me not concentrating that I am of the female gender.

Finally, I was out of the forest and in the town of our enemies. Hopefully, I don't get confronted on my way home. But seriously though! Why was our community built this way? I mean why can't the humans be the ones living at the hoarder protecting the monster territory from invasion.

Do even the gods here take us for weak subjects!? Heh! I can't come up with a perfect explanation! Instead, these Beastly Human creatures serve as our protectors! Tch! It's no wonder they have an ego the size of a fucking country!

Getting to The check-out point was when I remembered I had fucked up! Still, I walked up to the gate with my battered figure limping my way, The crowd at the gate parted women not wanting to delay my entrance, they felt like they understood my embarrassment. A woman stopped me from the crowd, she pulled me towards the backline she spoke.

"My dear, do you still have your entry pass? If you don't, we can share mine informing them that you are my daughter. After all, you're my friend's daughter who has gone missing for a year!" The beautiful grandma spoke her smile the most innocent like but I knew what creature she was.

Not wanting her to hear my voice, I brought my acting skills to use. With our ancient sign language, I spoke, tears pulling in my eyes.

"I am sorry for the inconvenience mam'm but I wouldn't want to bother you with my problems. If you would please excuse me I already feel embarrassed enough"

The grandma immediately felt pity towards me and with a face cast down, she excused herself not wanting to be with someone useless, someone she couldn't use to solve her problem.

'Devian Creatues' They were known for their manipulative ways used for their selfish interest. They may seem human in the form of innocent Granny's, Grandpa's, and especially kids. It was the polar opposite of who They are. Their main purpose is to always find someone young they can use as a vessel for their now old soul.

They are creatures with no specific form so they take the form of anyone that when glanced at anyone who notices them feels pity for them and would have the urge to help them. They were devious creatures always in need of a sacrifice just for their own sake not caring where the people they use were from. I am very sure they don't remember most of their victim's names

I wouldn't want to fall into their trap again. Then as a kid, I was still native not anymore, Now I am a new person, both body and soul assisting each other to become acquainted. That was all there is for now hopefully body and soul would become more than just acquaintances in the future to come.

Continuing my mission after cleaning her essence off my wrist she grabbed, I tore off the piece of fabric used to erase her essence I dropped it in front of me stepping over the dropped fabric I knew her monitoring curse had been erased since I couldn't feel her presence looming over my figure any more in form of a shadow.

{Sneaky Bitch! Messing up with a wrong yet crazy bitch like me, you have no idea what you'll be in for!}

Finally reaching the front of the line, she stood in front of the gate gaze cast down preparing her lines in her head she raised her head staring at the Duncan guard who stood by the gate with a look of pity just looking at her battered figure.

"Good day, I have been missing for two whole months now due to The Monster that attacked me in the forest, this was the outcome of the attack. My pass was taken off me along with my bag where I kept my things and I don't know where the Monster could be found, knowing I might not be granted permission to go home without a pass. But I can't live in the forest forever with my untreated wounds. Please help me out! All I want is to go home and calm my blind sister who has been worried about me." I pleaded to kneel with tears flowing out my eyes like water.

The small communication machine on their wrist lit up with a deep voice which sent pleasurable shivers through my spine. A deep yet smoky voice resounded through the speakers.

"Let her go!"

Few words yet it had a deadly impact on her making her dazed thanking them she continued her journey which became easier the moment she passed the border of the Duncan's which also seemed to be when the looming shadow stopped following her.

Finally passing through all protocols and borders she arrived in her territory. Arriving at her front door knocking she walked in her dazed expression still plastered on her face making her seem lost. The look on her brother's face after snapping their fingers in her face trying to get her attention.

Snapping out of dazed slumber I smiled grabbing them by their nape I pulled them in for a much-needed hug."I've missed you guys so much! Oh! How much I missed you guys' faces, bickering, and unreasonable fights. Let's go have fun once my legs are healed eh?"

"Definitely! We missed you too!" Both bursting into tears.

"I know, it's ok, it's okay, I'm finally home now aren't I?" I whispered in a reassuring tone.

"Do you promise not to leave unannounced or without us again?" The eldest Hagar asked already knowing my response but in need of reassuring words.

"You know I can't promise that but I can promise not to leave alone without one of you guys tagging along! What do you say?"I replied honestly not wanting to keep their hopes up but also not wanting to leave home alone anymore. I knew I needed a partner in crime as I was still new to this world.

"That's better!" They replied causing everyone to burst out in laughter.

Finally reunited with her family. The looming shadow is now a figure covered by darkness blending with the night. A neutral look on face eyes unmoving from the house across the street whispering words of promise.

"I finally found you! My destined Companion"
