Settling in

"Are we done with your list?" Dante asked Solo

"Yeah" Solo said checking his list "we have sufficient experts for now" he then looked to Dante who was browsing the summon list "who are you getting?"

"A wifu" Dante said with a silly smile. He then made a selection and a figure showed itself

The figure looked like a well-proportioned woman with an eye patch. She was wearing a tight shirt and pants with a knee high boots and elbow length gloves.

She opened her eye slowly "so you are the elder Godling that summoned me" she said eyeing Dante "what is the deal then?"

Dante was exited "I want you to be part of my harem"

A look of disbelief came upon Hephaestus's Face. She was cursed early on with an eye that would scare away every being, mortal or god, and so she resigned to live a lonely life "look kid, I know you mean well but you haven't seen my eye and that is kind of a deal breaker for many" she explained

"if I heal it, will you agree?" he asked her

"Sure" she replied with a shrug as she didn't believe he can no matter what she tried no one could heal her

Dante smiled happily and used modified summoning to summon Hephaestus without the cursed eye, didn't cost him much either as it was considered 'decorative' because it served no purpose. Her god Flame though…

Dante spread his arms "welcome to the family" he said as she materialised

"What?!" she asked in shock, her hand moving up to her eye while the eye patch is still there. She felt under the eye patch… it was her eye, her normal eye, the one she would have if it weren't for the curse. She turned to Dante who was standing there looking all handsome and smiling all gently and lovingly at her and she cracked

Dante enjoyed seeing the pure happiness coming to Hephaestus's face but then, she turned towards him with a strange, almost predatory, look "uhhh, Hephaestus? You ok?"

Next thing Dante knew was his head being squeezed between two soft melons, as Hephaestus is clinging to him like a Kuala, much to the amusement of some of the greatest minds in the history of the world.

After some time passed, Dante rose in the air, attracting the attention of many of the people who have never seen the supernatural meet reality. as he made sure the attention was on him he spoke "alright people, I know many of you are excited to continue your conversations with each other, but that can wait. For now I would like you to each take one of these" as Dante spoke he showed them a bracelet with what seems to be a gem on it "this is a Personal Bracelet, or PB for short. Yes, I know it has the same acronym for peanut butter so let's move on. Now everyone put theirs on and I can guide you through the basics of it"

As everyone did as asked the bracelets adjusted to the size of the wearer "everyone got theirs on? Good, now touch the gem on top" as everyone did so a screen came out of it "now what you should be seeing is a menu, from this menu you can go to several things and even customise your PB. Now I want you guys to scroll to the bottom of the menu, there should be a tutorial there. Once you get home I want everyone to check it out and find out what their PB can do"

He then closed the bracelet menu and motioned bellow "this is Hinata, she handles all personal related Sparda business" she waved and smiled gently "if you would follow her she will show you to your new homes, and tomorrow she will show you Sparda city as well" he then turned back to the crowed "any questions?"

The Summoned group were led to a suburban looking area, not far from the field they were summoned in. It had almost matching houses too.

"Please select a house and settle in" Hinata informed them "all houses have basic appliances and food and drinks. All you have to do is place your PB on the lock and it will allow you access" she then demonstrated it with the first house "this will be where I live, so please come find me if you need anything" Hinate then paused to ensure everyone was following "One last thing to note is that the bracelets are your identification, and have an emergency beacon on them. If you ever feel in danger, simply shout Beacon and it will activate. Other than that, please enjoy your day, and I will see you tomorrow morning at 9" she said pointing at the bracelet showing the time

The next day, as the summons were touring the city, Dante was standing in front of a ginormous tower "is it ready?" he heard Solo ask

"Yeah, it'll upgrade itself as we go to new worlds" Dante then looked contemplative "I think I'll add a few more levels"

The following day Dante was waiting for the group to arrive in front of the tower, and arrive they did "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I hope you've enjoyed your day yesterday" he said smiling "now who here, didn't check what the bracelets do?" when he saw no hands were up he continued "excellent, if you would please open your status page"

As the group did they all saw their name, Job, lvl, Str, Vit, Dex, M.pwr and M.Ctrl. Dante then began to explain what each status mean to them.

"Now your levels should be zero" he said then continued quickly "this does not represent your power, but your progress in the dungeon behind me. Your stats however do represent your power. Str represent physical strength, Vit represent How healthy and sturdy you are, Dex decides how nimble and flexible you are as well as your reaction time. M.Pwr represents your magical power and M.Ctrl represents your magical control" Dante then turned around and called for them to follow him

They all moved towards the tower, once they entered they noticed several desks manned by men and women in uniform. Once they got closer to a specific desk the woman smiled and bowed "how may I help you today"

Dante looked at the group behind him, then pointed out Captain America "Captain, if you would show her your PB" as the captain moved he turned to the young lady "level up please"

The worker nodded and took out a device "please place your hand in here" she asked the captain, who followed her request. Suddenly he felt more powerful "congratulations on your level up Captain Rogers, you are now eligible for the levels one to ten"

"Check your stats captain" Dante requested

"they increased" he responded

Dante then turned to the crowed "there you have it folks, go talk to the people and request a level up then meet me back here in 30 minutes"

Soon enough the entire group was levelled and were gathered back "now for the important part, if you notice, all your stats levelled but not equally. That is caused by your actions and training. If you use guns, higher dexterity, if you use melee weapons, higher strength and so on and so forth" he then motioned to the bracelets "the stats you have will improve based on how you fight, it can improve up to 20 points in each stat every level, so it's up to you whether to spend longer time to grind each stat up for a universal build, or progress faster in a specific type of stat. while it doesn't matter to me what you improve, it is important that you reach level 3 in three months" Dante then took a deep tired breath "any questions?"

Frank castle raised his hand "what about the kids? Do they have to 'dungeon dive' too?" he asked in worry

"At 15, I'm not sending kids in there" Dante said

Another one raised their hand "why do you want us to level up?"

"Every level adds ten years to your expected life span" Dante said shocking those present "additionally every level adds bit of magic to you, allowing you to operate the magical devices that will be developed by you" Dante ignored the looks he was getting and continued "Vitality will also increase and it will in turn increase your stamina and overall health" he then turned his head to scan his audience "I am providing the tools for you to be a better you, so it's up to you how to do that. If you have any more questions, ask the receptionists, good day" Dante then vanished from the area

Hinata just face palmed. Everyone was confused at the reason for his urgency, what none of those present knew is that one of the researcher Dantes finally made a breakthrough… Bacon trees are coming to Sparda.
