Arrival at the Bloody Mist

The hidden village in the land of water, Kirigakure, is also known as the village of bloody mist due to its ninja academy graduation exam. When a ninja wishes to graduate they must fight to the death against their own classmates. When the fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi, took the exam, he killed all his classmates. Being considered the strongest shinobi in the village, in no small part due to his control over the Bijuu, he was chosen to be the Mizukage.

After being instated as Mizukage, for reasons unknown he started targeting people with bloodlines and oppressing or eliminating them. This sparked conflict and caused a civil war to rise.What people don't know is that since young, Yagura was being controlled by 'Madara Uchiha'. Though his reason for starting this war is unknown as well, we can safely assume that Yagura is an enemy.

When Naruto and party arrive at the borders of the land of water, they saw a lot of ninja fighting and even more bodies spread around the villages. The fact that many of those were civilians didn't help in keeping Naruto's anger under control.

In less than a second about 20 Naruto clones were summond and sent on their way with one order "keep the civilians safe"

Zabuza would never admit it, but at that moment he had more than simple respect for the man, he was feeling awe towards him. Zabuza then noticed a Familiar Lava release Jutsu. Looking closer he sees several ninjas going at a single female ninja and losing.

When Zabuza saw her, he went in her direction and engaged the enemy directly. Before the assumed enemy ninja had a chance to retaliate, one of them was cut at the waist by Zabuza's swing. This caused the other two ninja to turn towards their new adversary, big mistake.

"Lava release" she called and they were covered in what appear to be molten stone. Once she is sure her enemies are no longer among the living she turns her head towards Zabuza "I had it covered ya know"

"I know, just wanted to help" he says while raising his hands in a placating manner

She looks at him for a second through narrowed eyes before turning to us "and to what do we owe the pleasure of having ninja from the peaceful, wonderful, always neutral village of Konoha" she says with heavy sarcasm and no less venom. She being the leader of the rebels, has requested aid to help against the massacres committed by the ninja under Yagura's orders, and she got nothing

"the fourth Mizukage has sent us an invitation himself" naruto said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes "he even managed to kill some important people in our village" he then takes out a scroll and hands it to Mei Terumī

"Wait" said Asuma "aren't we suppose to give the scroll to the resistance leader?"

Naruto simply looked at her, then to Zabuza, then back at her. He remembered she was always looking for a boyfriend and he got an idea. He placed the scroll in his inventory then grabbed a hand from each Mei and Zabuza and placed them on top of each other palm up. He then took out the scroll and placed it on their joined hands. Afterwards he stepped back hands on his waist looking proud.

When he looked up from what he was doing, he saw them looking at the scroll then him then their hands then the scroll again and so on and so forth.

"What?" he asked

"Okay, first of all who are you? And what are you doing?" Mei asked followed by Zabuza "I want to know that too"

"Well the mission was to deliver that scroll" Naruto pointed at the scroll in their hands "to the leader of the resistance, and that's you"

"Yeah, it is me" Mei said "what I want to know is why you handed it to 'US' in this way?"

"that's because you two are going to be the leaders of the village" Naruto said looking proud

Everyone was looking at him weirdly but he knew something they didn't.

Mei likes Zabuza. Like really likes him, and he likes her back. It is probably why she never was with anyone else and painted herself as the shallow woman she was in the anime.

And Zabuza, though rough and gruff, is genuinely a victim of the circumstance. The fact he took in Haku alone is enough

"Sorry but I plan on being the next Mizukage myself" Zabuza interjected

"Hey I'm the leader of rebellion. I am the next Mizukage" Mei denied hem

"how about this, Mei will handle the paperwork and politics as Zabuza sucks at that"

"HEY" Zabuza felt insulted

"While Zabuza fills the usual, fear, strength and so on requirement for the Mizukage position" Naruto finished. The two didn't look convinced "you two will have to marry though, to show a united front"

"w-well I am willing to consider this as I can see your logic" Zabuza replied while looking away from a blushing Mei

'Did Zabuza Momochi, Demon of the Hidden Mist, just fucking stutter?' thought the Konoha ninja present

"Well now that that's out of the way, let's head to your base of operations" Naruto said

"So, this is Konoha's Idea of backup? Four Shinobi and a kid" Ao said looking at Haku.

Ao is an old man with one eye who was at one point an Anbu for Kirigakure. After seeing the injustice that is happening against those with bloodlines, he decided to fight against the people he once served.

"The kid is mine" said Zabuza

"What?!" shouted Mei while locking Zabuza in a death stare

"Not like that" he quickly clarifies "he is the last of the Yuki clan, I saved him a while back and took him as a student"

"Oh" she said, relieved it wasn't something else "still I have to agree with Ao, four people are simply not enough"

"Just read the scroll" Asuma said "it'll help"

"Can you really remove the three tails from this world?" asked a disbelieving Mei

"Already did to two of them" Naruto shrugged "now I'm going to go and draw the fourth Mizukage out of the village, then disable him, and then remove the Bijuu" Naruto said like it's the simplest thing to do in the world.

"Right. Anyone want to add anything to that?" asked Mei

When no one spoke Naruto turned to the three Jonin "I'll set up an array at the east side of the village to extract and remove the Bijuu" he then created one [Solid Shadow Clone]. Once summoned the clone began to wright a seal on the ground while Naruto continued "this clone will create a set of connected clones. These clones will have real time parallel presence at all time so you can use them to communicate between your bases"

"That's brilliant, but aren't you low on chakra now?" asked Mei

"I'm an Uzumaki, I also was the Kyuubi jinchuriki. A bit of chakra use will do me no harm" Naruto explained

So when you said you already did it to two. You meant…" Zabuza commented

"Mine was one of them" naruto said, and then he started heading towards the exit "I'll see you guys in a couple hours"

"Is he always like this?" asked Ao

The konoha three looked at each other then at Ao and shrugged. They didn't know either.
