"Ah!!"
Kurozumi Orochi snapped awake, jolted from the shock, and without hesitation, transformed into his Devil Fruit form—Yamata no Orochi! The towering, multi-headed serpent form gave him newfound confidence, a shield of arrogance. He couldn't make sense of what had just happened in his human form, but now, cloaked in the monstrous serpent's power, he believed he was invincible.
"Who are you? Why are you trying to kidnap Xiaozi and kill me?! Do you dare to challenge the imperial family?" Kurozumi roared, his voice shaking the air.
Finn, uninterested in trading words, simply raised his hand. In an instant, two glowing energy swords materialized, slicing through the air toward Kurozumi, attacking from both sides.
"Do you think I, Kurozumi Orochi, am an easy target?" he bellowed, defiant.
Years ago, Kurozumi might have been an easy opponent, but over the past decade, he had honed his powers. He was strong now—or so he thought.
But it didn't matter. He wasn't facing just anyone. He was facing Finn.
With a swift, merciless motion, the energy swords struck.
Slash! Slash!
In mere moments, several of Kurozumi's snake heads were severed, collapsing to the ground with a sickening thud. The once-mighty serpent was reduced to a single head, quivering in fear. Kurozumi fell to his knees, desperation written across his face.
"Don't kill me! I'll give you anything you want!" he begged, eyes wide in terror.
Finn's expression remained cold. "I'm not here for your riches. I'm here for your life, to avenge Ms. Kozuki Hiyori, and for the blood you spilled when you murdered her father."
With a flick of his fingers, Finn's energy sword descended upon Kurozumi's last remaining head.
"Kozuki Hiyori…?" Kurozumi gasped, turning to look at the figure beside Finn—Xiaozi.
No. Not Xiaozi.
It was Kozuki Hiyori, her face now clear in his mind. But before the realization could fully register—
Slash!
Kurozumi Orochi's final head tumbled to the ground, his body crumpling with a heavy thud.
Finn lowered Hiyori gently to the ground. "Is there anything you need to check?"
Hiyori shook her head, eyes lingering on the lifeless body of Kurozumi. "No... He is Kurozumi Orochi, without a doubt."
Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared at the fallen tyrant. This was the man who had stolen her family's future, destroyed everything she had loved. Memories of her father and mother flooded her mind, the happiness they could have shared if not for Kurozumi's ambition. Now, with the man responsible for her parents' deaths lying dead before her, the weight of it all hit her like a wave.
Hiyori sobbed quietly, her heart aching for everything she had lost.
Finn stepped closer, gently patting her back in comfort. "Now," he said softly, "about that favor... Will you lend me Yan Mo?"
Kozuki Hiyori wiped her tears and looked at him. "Yan Mo and Tian Yu Yu Zhan were left by my father to kill Kaido. If someone could actually kill Kaido, I wouldn't just lend it—I'd give it away without hesitation. But there's only one chance to defeat Kaido. If I give the sword to you, and you fall to him, it'll be lost to Kaido forever. Then, there will never be a chance to avenge my father."
Finn raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "So, will you give me that chance?"
Hiyori hesitated for only a moment before nodding. "You're powerful, Finn. I can't find a reason not to take that gamble."
A smile spread across Finn's face. "You're a wise princess."
Hours later, Hiyori retrieved the legendary swords from a hidden location: Yan Mo and Tian Yu Yu Zhan, the blades of her father, Kozuki Oden.
With great solemnity, Hiyori placed the two swords in Finn's hands, her voice catching as she said, "I'm putting everything I have on you. Don't let me down."
Finn grinned. "I won't make any promises. Just watch."
He carefully stored Yan Mo but handed Tian Yu Yu Zhan back to her. "I only need one sword. Keep this one—it's part of your father's legacy."
Hiyori shook her head, overwhelmed. "I don't know swordsmanship. But watching you wield a blade... it was so powerful, so beautiful. My father's sword deserves to be in your hands, not mine. If I keep it, it will only gather dust, tarnishing his legacy."
Finn, undeterred, took her hand and pressed the sword into it. "You will take it," he said firmly. "And when I kill Kaido, I'll teach you how to use it."
Hiyori's eyes lit up at his words. The image of Finn's swordplay, graceful and deadly, flashed in her mind. "If you're my teacher, how could learning ever be dull?"
With renewed resolve, she nodded. "Alright! I'll take it."
Finn smiled approvingly. "Good. Now, let's go. You're going to watch me kill Kaido with your own eyes."
Without warning, he swept her up into his arms and flew toward Onigashima, Kaido's lair.
Hiyori gasped, her face flushing as they soared through the air.
When they reached the island, Finn called out in a booming voice, "Kaido! Get out here and face me!"
The shout reverberated through the air, but only silence greeted them.
Finn frowned, scanning the area. He snagged a passing pirate and demanded, "Where's Kaido?"
The pirate trembled as he spoke. "Kaido... Kaido's at Naval Headquarters."
Finn smirked, a strange glint in his eye. "Looks like I've outmaneuvered Grandpa Sengoku again."
"Finn, what should we do now that Kaido's gone?" Hiyori asked, concern in her voice.
"Simple," Finn said. "We chase him. But first, we clean up the Beasts Pirates."
Before Hiyori could object, Finn patted his shoulder and grinned. "Hold on tight, and watch me in action."
Hiyori, despite her embarrassment, obeyed.
In the blink of an eye, Finn unleashed a barrage of fiery energy blasts on the island, lighting it up like a battlefield of flames. He tore through the remnants of the Beasts Pirates, leaving chaos in his wake. Days later, there was no trace of them left in Wano—either slain or fleeing under Plague Kunin's desperate command.
The island of Wano was theirs again, cleansed of Kaido's forces. And now, it was time for the real battle—against Kaido himself.
