Finn stood in stunned silence, staring at the third option on the mission panel. Thousand Years of Death? On the tea dolphin? In front of the entire plaza, filled with Marines?
His eyes scanned the square. On one side, male soldiers stood watching the spectacle, and on the other, female soldiers observed with curiosity. The idea of using Thousand Years of Death here sent a mischievous spark through Finn's mind. A mental image flashed before him, one that could only end in chaos. But still...
"What even is a Mission Card?" Finn wondered, his thoughts turning to the strange reward. He hadn't heard of this type of card before. The system's explanation arrived almost immediately:
Mission Card: A tool to teach one of the host's abilities to a designated individual. With the host's direct guidance, the trainee's speed of mastery increases exponentially.
"Whoa... so if I teach someone my skills, they can learn them super fast depending on the card's multiplier?" Finn realized. With a hundredfold increase, a month of training would be like spending years honing a skill. Even a pig could become a warrior under that kind of guidance!
This was too good to pass up. His mind raced through the possibilities: Nami, Princess Vivi, Tashigi... they were all combat novices compared to the real heavyweights. If Finn could teach them his abilities, they could become powerful allies. With a hundredfold Mission Card, he could build an army of elite fighters in no time.
"Alright, tea dolphin, don't blame me. It's not personal—it's the system's fault!"
With that, Finn set his sights on his target. The tea dolphin was completely unaware, still kneeling in front of Momousagi, shouting his romantic declarations into the sky. Finn began moving, his every step soundless, every movement masked. Thanks to his Advanced Breath Blocking, even the most skilled observer wouldn't notice him.
"Hey, who's that guy approaching Vice Admiral tea dolphin?" one Marine whispered, nudging his comrade.
"I don't know. But you don't just sneak up on someone with the power of a candidate for Admiral," the other replied, though neither of them thought to intervene. Observation Haki would have already alerted the tea dolphin to any potential threat, right?
Except... it hadn't.
Finn approached the tea dolphin without a single hitch. Not a breeze stirred, not a blade of grass shifted. It was as if his presence was erased from the physical world.
As Finn drew nearer, he calmly pulled out a pair of leather gloves and slid them on with deliberate precision. I can't risk getting my hands dirty... especially not with this move.
But just as Finn readied himself, the tea dolphin suddenly shot to his feet, arms raised to the heavens.
"Yuyuan!!!"
The unexpected shout almost made Finn jump out of his skin. What the hell? Does this guy have rabies?
Momousagi, who had been walking away, turned slightly, her eyes catching Finn's figure as he closed in on her suitor. Her interest piqued, a faint smile crept across her lips. This boy... what was he up to?
Seeing her look in his direction, the tea dolphin's heart leaped. He thought Momousagi was finally responding to him!
"Yuyuan! I knew it! You've always had feelings for me! You're finally reconsidering, aren't you?"
Momousagi's brow furrowed slightly, but her eyes stayed on Finn, who had now crouched down behind the tea dolphin, hands forming a strange, rapid sequence of signs. His movements were eerily reminiscent of the ninja arts rumored to be practiced in the distant lands of Wanokuni.
The watching Marines murmured amongst themselves.
"What's that guy doing?"
"Isn't that... a ninjutsu seal?"
Finn ignored the whispers. He was too focused, lost in the dramatic flair of his impending attack. Thousand Years of Death couldn't just be done casually—it needed style.
Kai!
With the final seal complete, Finn thrust forward with the precision of a master assassin, channeling the power of the Finger Pistol into his infamous move:
Thousand Years of Death!
Whap!
The plaza froze. Time itself seemed to stop. The tea dolphin's eyes widened, his body stiffening in shock as Finn's "attack" landed with devastating accuracy. For a moment, the world stood still, and then...
"AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!"
The tea dolphin's scream echoed through the square, louder and more desperate than anything anyone had expected. Marines scattered, unsure of what they had just witnessed. Some of the female soldiers turned away, faces flushed with embarrassment. Others, both male and female, couldn't help but burst into laughter, despite the absurdity of the situation.
Finn stood up, brushing off his gloves as if it had all been routine.
"One hundred times Mission Card, here I come."
