=The Next Morning, The Community Centre Hallway=
Chris was on his way out of the community centre while carrying a paint bucket when his phone chimed. He checked it to find he had gotten a text message.
[Ice Queen: I had fun yesterday. You should visit more often]
He sighed. 'If only she were this open in person our relationship would have been much further along already,' he thought.
[Chris: Yeah, me too. I didn't mind the view]
It took a few moments longer than usual for the next message to show up.
[Ice Queen: What view?]
He chuckled.
[Chris: Well I definitely wasn't checking out Simon...]
Another pause.
[Ice Queen: Who were you checking out?]
[Chris: You of course]
On his way out of the front door due to his distraction he bumped into someone. It took all his efforts not to splash paint all over both of them.
He looked up. It was a girl with sleek short black hair down to just past her ears. She wore her bangs pinned back with a hairpin.
"Ah sorry about that," he said.
Their collision broke her out of her daze. Due to her short stature she had to look up at him. Once she got a better look at him she blushed. "T-thats alright... I-I wasn't paying attention either," she said quietly.
He smiled. "Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked.
Her eyes widened. "R-right... uhm... I'm looking for Curtis... is... is he here?" She asked.
He nodded. "He was in the changing rooms," he said.
He pointed at the chairs along the side of the hallway. "Why not have a seat here? He should be right out," he said.
She smiled. "Thank you," she said.
He gently shook his head. "Of course. See you around," he said while heading outside.
"Y-yes... You too!" She shouted after him.
'I wonder how things will go between Curtis and her now that he isn't dating Alisha. I assume she still went to prison, but what happened after? Did he turn back time already and are they dating now?' he wondered.
Curtis' power was one of the most difficult for him to deal with since no power he was aware of was immune to it. He couldn't even tell when Curtis had used his power.
=The Next Afternoon, The Community Centre, Probation Worker's Office=
The probation worker, Sally, called them all individually in her office and it was Chris' turn.
She had him sit on the couch while she sat on a chair facing him.
She put on her best smile. "This is your chance to talk about community service," she said.
He nodded slowly. "Sure..." he said.
"So do you think that you've learned anything?" She asked.
He chuckled and imitated an up and down painting motion. "Oh I'm much better at painting now. Maybe I can do karate now," he said.
She did her best to prevent a smile from forming, but he could see it tugging at the corner of her mouth.
She coughed awkwardly. "I was talking more on a personal development level," she said.
He shrugged. "I mean I figured out that I shouldn't bribe people anymore the moment I got caught... or at least that I shouldn't get caught next time," he said.
She didn't seem sure how to address that. "Ok then... how do you think you've changed?"
"Not all that much I think..." he said.
She put on a concerned expression, it wasn't very convincing to him though. "It's not easy, is it?" She asked.
He had to fight not to roll his eyes. 'Oh? She thinks I'm a good boy like Simon and might turn on the others if she just shows how much she cares about me,' he thought.
He tilted his head as if confused. "What do you mean?" He asked.
She smiled gently. "I mean it must be hard. You're not like them... Despite being the youngest one you're more... mature," she said.
He scooted forward and leaned towards her to get closer. He stretched his hand out and put it on top of hers while looking deep into her eyes giving his best smouldering look. "More than you can even imagine," he whispered in a husky voice.
She froze. A blush spread on her cheeks. The moment she broke out of her daze she quickly pulled back. "I-I think that about covers everything," she said quickly.
She got up and walked over to the office door and opened it to let him out.
After he walked past her and she could no longer see his expression he smirked and shook his head. 'Way too young to be playing with me,' he thought.
=The Community Centre, Main Hall=
They were sweeping and mopping the floor while Simon was in the probation worker's office for his talk with Sally.
"Why has he been in there longer than the rest of us?" Kelly asked.
"He's obviously making more progress. He's such a little arse-kisser," Nathan said.
Chris shook his head. "She is probably trying to find the weakest amongst us and get them to spill the truth and..." he said.
"... and he is the weakest one," Nathan said completing his sentence.
"I'm sure he wouldn't..." Kelly said. She didn't look as confident as she probably wanted to though.
"We've made it this far. We'll figure it out either way," Chris said.
She nodded slowly.
Nathan smirked. "Watch this," he said.
He went up to the window to the probation worker's office and flipped the mop he was using upside down. The sweeping side spit into a Y shape and he put his head where the arms of the Y met. He started exaggeratedly faking going down on it towards Simon and Sally in the office as he walked past the windows.
He turned around to face the others. "You think he's cracked?" He asked.
They all just kind of shrugged.
A few minutes later Simon opened the door to the office.
"Thank you," Sally said.
Simon turned back. "For what?" He asked.
"It's nice there's someone I can actually have a conversation with," she said.
He smiled awkwardly and nodded. "Thanks," he said.
Nathan rolled his eyes. "So when's the wedding date?" He asked.
Kelly punched his arm. "Twat..." she said.
