Chapter 7 :

The wolf howled its intention to fight. By opening its mouth about fifteen blades of wind much larger than those of Altaïr fell on them.

Altaïr climbed down from the ant and they each went off to dodge and divide the wolf's attention.

Blades of wind skimmed the grass and exploded on contact with the ground. Mini explosions sounded everywhere. The shock wave unbalanced Altaïr which did not fail to escape the wolf. He disappeared from his position.

The ant gave a warning cry but too late, the wolf reappeared in front of Altaïr and gave a powerful kick. Its claws covered with an extremely sharp green layer cut the arm that Altaïr had had time to position in front of his head.

His left arm was completely severed, the wolf was about to repeat its attack but the worker ant tumbled down with force and sent the wolf flying, impacting it with its armored body.

The wolf crashed into the grass and he did a few rolls and balls before managing to stabilize himself.

"Well, I don't think I have a choice anymore," Altaïr groaned in pain as he tied a tourniquet to his arm. The adrenaline kept him from fainting from the pain and bleeding.

"Protect me for a while. he commanded the ant.

She nodded her huge head in an almost human expression. She turned towards the growling wolf and charged forward.

Altaïr had no choice, it was either he succeeded in the technique he had imagined and the wolf would die or he failed and he would die in excruciating pain because of the power which would become uncontrollable.

He opened his palm to the sky and a mini tornado came out.

"Well it's time to trust my talent"

He closed his eyes and felt his whole body, he saw the power of the wind powering the small tornado in his hand, he saw another reserve of power but this time crackling red.

"So that's it," Altaïr realized as he finally saw the source of his power.

He tapped into the red power a little and guided it through his veins to his palm. He didn't immediately connect the power to the tornado.

"Alright let's balance the scales"

Altaïr tapped into the red power again to make the red power equal the green power. Beads of sweat ran down his forehead, he hesitated to connect the red power to the mini tornado.

The ant suddenly let out a howl of pain and asked Altaïr for help. The wolf had broken through his defenses and his victory was near.

"I have to do a few things before she dies. »

He looked at the mini tornado and the crackling red power that was just waiting to be released. He firmed up his resolve.

The red power connected to the tornado. The tornado began to distort as the elements pushed back.

Altaïr used his mind to contain the two powers and force them to merge.

"Lucky I was able to absorb the purple orbs," he said through gritted teeth.

Finally contemplating the destructive power of two powers repelling each other, Altaïr thought of a kamikaze strategy by sending the unstable tornado at the wolf and having it explode on him and flee in the opposite direction so as not to be caught in it.

Altaïr then put all his power into the two elements. The tornado grew enormously, making it three times the size of the ant, which was already as high as a small house.

"GET AWAY" he yelled at the bleeding ant.

She then flees with all her might, pushing the wolf straight at the tornado. She then ran with Altaïr in the opposite direction.

The wolf could no longer dodge because the chaotic tornado made it impossible to use the lightning elements as well as the wind and at the same time prevented the wolf from using its wind power to dodge.

He screamed in despair but his body was torn apart by the lightning that burned him alive and the blades of wind that cut his body into small pieces. The unstable tornado then suddenly exploded on itself. The explosion was so gigantic that Altaïr and the ant almost died despite the distance.

When it finally dissipated, Altaïr returned to the scene, sending the ant back into his tattoo to rest.

Red flames burned everywhere from the lightning and huge trenches were dug in the earthy ground due to the huge blades of wind.

"No trace of the wolf," Altaïr sighed.

He searched for another good hour and finally glowing orbs lay on the ground in a trench.

"I found you my babies" smiles Altaïr

Five white orbs, two purple and two green orbs.

"A good harvest!! Hey, that green orb is weird," Altaïr realized.

He took it in his hand and brought it to his eyes.

[Ding...Detected an orb containing a wind element technique]

[Do you want to absorb it?]

[YES NO ?]

" YES !!! »

[Ding...Obtaining the technique: moving with the wind]

[Description: Your body takes on the flexibility of the wind, it surrounds you, and you become able to dodge any attack for ten seconds. Cooldown: thirty seconds]

"This technique is terribly powerful. As long as no one throws an area attack at me, I'm practically invincible. » he rejoices

The adrenaline of the fight then died down and Altaïr screamed in pain.

"Damn wound, I forgot about it. »

Yet even with one arm Altaïr was still alive so the hunt could continue.

He took the other orbs in his hand and felt the power rise within him.

[Ding…Congratulations you have become a Rank 3 Advanced Genetic Warrior Apprentice]

[Beep…Wind Power (10\100)]

"Ahhh I feel so much stronger. The wolf seems much more accessible to me now but without the ant I would always be a little inferior"

Altaïr set out again, the road to being a genetic warrior is still long. With his rank pass, blue cat orbs are almost useless.

"I think I'm powerful enough to take my revenge on those damn dogs," Altaïr said in a good mood again despite the excruciating pain he was feeling.
