I finally got to the house and notice it was unlocked. Walking into the house I saw a slightly dark-skinned man, compared to me and Mebiku, with a stupid dull pink cherry blossom shaped hair sitting on the couch. He had side burns that run down and shaped into and angular moustache with a bit of stubble on his chin. Basically, his entire face screamed 'punch me', and I truly wanted to.
This man was the father of Sakura, Haruno Kizashi. Noticing me entering, he looked at me and smiled. "Oh Sakura, welcome home."
"Hey dad. I'll go wash down really quick for supper." He nodded as I made my way upstairs for my bath. I took a quick bath and came back down just in time as Mebuki was serving supper. We sat down and ate a quiet meal together as a family.
"Your training will last a year. In time for you to return and 'graduate' at the academy." That was out of expectations but it worked for me. I had assumed I was not going to return for a while, not bothering with the academy anymore. That was actually the main reason I asked Naruto to meet me at the gates the next day. I needed him to copy down a few jutsus from the forbidden scroll for me.
Hey, if the dude was smart enough to learn and kind of master the tajuu kagebunshin no jutsu (multiple shadow clone technique) during the extremely short time Mizuki was having a villian's monologue, then as my friend he has more than enough time to copy down a few techniques from the scroll for me.
Worst case, Iruka died. It would not even had been a worst-case scenario. He barely served any proper purpose aside being the first to acknowledge Naruto. With my involvement, he would no longer had been necessary for that.
Now all of that was not needed. I would return and get the jutsus myself. It was a very good thing for me. What? Which idiot would have the opportunity to get their hands on a few powerful and forbidden jutsus for free and simply roll their and ignore it? Shadow Clone, flying thunder god, Reanimation jutsu and who know how many other forbidden jutsus in there. Thinking about all of those, so many plans and contingencies keep flowing. Hehe.
"Your graduation would only be for formalities. I assume by the time we return you would have surpassed academy level ninja. That is if you survive, or worse, if you give up." Her statement was provocative and I don't know why but I felt provoked.
My eye twitched a bit as I retorted, "Oi old lady, what are you trying to say? There's no way I'll give up from anything you throw at me. If anything, if I run from you it would be because your training was not up to standard." I knew my statement got to her because I saw a tick mark at the side of her forehead.
"Don't forget brat, you said so yourself. I'm going to enjoy breaking you." She spoke with a wide, almost sadistic smile on her face which made me shiver slightly. It did not escape her eyes as she smirked victoriously. Ah, that pissed me off so much
"Calm down ladies, we are all on the same side after all. You looked tired earlier Sakura, did something happen?" Kizashi spoke up to diffuse the situation.
"Yes, I was experimenting a little up on the mountain." I answered without looking up from the drink in my hand.
"Experimenting? You mean failing. You were slow, weak, fell pathetically on your face. Ah, I did not know falling on your face was a new experimenting." Mebuki spoke up after she heard me.
"Ah, I did not know you had such a great talent in peeping. If that is what you intend to teach me then I am in so much trouble." I saw the vein on the side of her head return but longer. This time it was my turn to give the victorious smirk.
"The hell did you just say brat?!"
"You heard me, old lady!" For some reason I was quite enjoy our banter. It felt oddly nice.
"You know, Sakura, after a while you need to do like the laundry and fold." Suddenly Kizashi spoke up. It was silent for a second before he and Mebuki broke out into laughter.
'It cannot be. Was that a dad joke? A terrible dad joke? I am not like that right? No, I am definitely not like that. I never told dad jokes to my daughter ever. I am sure of it.' Their laugh was beginning to piss me off. It sounded almost as if they had won, especially with Mebuki staring at me like that as she laughed.
"Fine, whatever. I'm tired. I'm going to bed." I stood from my chair and began to make way upstairs when I heard Kizashi say again, "Hello Tired Going to bed, I'm Haruno Kizashi and this is my wife, Haruno Mebuki. Nice to meet you."
At this point their laughs were louder and even more irritating. Now it was my turn to have the long vein tick at the side of my face. They felt they had won. They felt they had the last word and the last laugh. There was no way I was going to leave it as such, so I brought out the big guns.
"Just so you know, I like girls and I have absolutely no interest in being with a guy so if you want to continue the Haruno family line, you two better start planning for another baby. Goodnight." I walked straight upstairs without even looking back. There was pin drop silence in the house. In fact, it felt like it extended towards the whole neighborhood.
'Ah, that felt good.'. I thought as I closed my eyes and went to sleep for the first time in a foreign world, expectant of what was to come soon.
