13 Chapter 13

The person in question, sat there on the ground feeling two extreme things at the moment. She felt extremely nauseated. It happened every time he was exhausted back on earth, and for some reason, that had followed him here as well; Constantly moving back and forth with the body flicker for so long had sapped what little stamina she had. Hence the somber look. Second was delight. He finally got the hang of it, even reducing the chakra she needed for the jutsu and almost figuring out how to move without the smoke, however it felt like she was missing something important. This made him extremely delighted as such he could not help himself but smile even through the nausea.

She had been completely misunderstood.

….

After siting for a while, I was finally able to get rid of the feeling of nausea. Looking up at the sky, I assumed I had been here for a few hours at least. "Guess it's time to head back.". I began making my way down when in the distance, I saw a kid walking towards my direction holding, or better, balancing what looked to be a few cans of paint in each hand.

"No way. it can't be." He had bright blonde hair with three whiskers on each cheek and wore an orange jacket with blue trims from the neck down the zipper to the edge of the jacket with googles on his forehead. I smirked because he was easily and instantly recognizable, "The one and only number one loud ninja, Uzumaki Naruto.".

"To think I would actually run into the canon armor over canon armor over canon armor wearing protagonist.". See how I repeated it three times? That's just how much over cannon armored he was. But I had to admit, I was geeking out at that moment. Brainwashed aside, he still clawed his way to the top. The never give up ninja.

The kid approaching though was nothing like the ninja he eventually became. What I saw was a broken kid who craved some sort of affection, or any kind of attention, even hatred. It seemed like after being ignored by the villagers for so long, he had begun to long for the hatred they directed towards him in the earlier years.

How sad.

Don't misunderstand, I had no intention of following behind him or try to enter team 7 and do nothing. Maybe if I had a system and could just buy things and be irrelevantly OP, then maybe, yes. But I had my own problems to deal with. I was not about to follow a bunch of canon armor monsters. I had my own plans. Besides, regardless of what happened, he would be fine and still get stronger. Triple canon armor wearing protagonist, remember?

He had already gotten to my location however he was so lost in thought that he did not notice me at all. The sad look on his face almost broke my heart. It triggered my fatherly instincts and reminded me of my daughter. I could not imagine my daughter going through what Naruto went through all because he was merely caught up in the politics and schemes of others.

"*sigh*, and where do you think you are going with those paints, Naruto?" That was right, the canon had yet to begin and that meant he was still pulling pranks for acknowledgment.

The sound of my voice finally startled him, bringing him out of his thoughts, as he lifted his head to see who had spoken. "Sakura-chan! Let's go on a date!" His face suddenly brightened, which made me smile warmly, until he spoke.

"Shannaro!" I had no idea what happened, I only felt a snap and sudden urge that I happily obliged, and before I knew it, I had landed a monstrous punch, sending Naruto rolling and sliding a few meters away. Before he knew what was happening, I was already on him as I grabbed him by his silly orange jacked and pulled him real close to my face.

"Listen Naruto, that would be the last time you ever call me Sakura-chan. Just call me Sakura. Understood?" I might have scared the kid. He was shaking as he nodded his head uncontrollably. I may have taken things a bit too far.

"Sorry Naruto." I placed him down and apologized to him which he seemed very surprised by. Of course, he would, every time he was beat up or bullied by the fangirls for challenging Uchiha Sasuke, he was just left to lick his wounds in a corner somewhere alone.

Plus, the girl he liked had never once apologized to him so it had taken him by surprise. He smiled his goofy large smile, obviously happy as he spoke, "I knew Sakura-cha—" Before he could finish, I sent a deathly glare his way which did the trick, reminding him of his earlier situation.

"Sakura--San?" He asked tilting his head to the side in confusion not knowing exactly if he was correct

"Just Sakura, Naruto." I replied, clearing his doubts.
