Naruto woke up and found something incredible... Ikki, Karin and Hinata, who apparently knew eachother, all looking at him with worried expressions.

"What happened?" Naruto asks confused

"Don't scare us like that! i thought you had died there!" Ikki answered, as much as she exaggerates, thats hiw she feels.

"That was so reckless, i know better than anyone that you could have defeated him easier, but you had to act all cool... and manly... and..." Karin tried to scold Naruto, only to lose herself into her thoughts.

"Naruto-kun... please don't do something so reckless again..." Hinata didn't stutter once in her sentence, even though her tone was very low, apparently a lot has changed in this one month Naruto was away, it seems that Hinata was just nervous before because she didn't see Naruto for a month...

"Listen i... I'm sorry..."

After some talk with the girls, Naruto discovered that he went out for ... only long enought for one match...

Unfortunately he didn't get to see the match between Temari and Shikamaru. It seems that Temari beat Shikamaru into hiding and he outsmarted her, only to give up cause he is a coward...

Anyways...

Next match is Sasuke vs Shino and everyone knows that the uchiha will win... well at least anyone that doesn't know how strong Shino can be. Sasuke was not late with Kakashi this time so the match wasn't postponed.

Why is Shino in the finals if he lost against Naruto? well some stupid gennin decided to try to kill a certain jinchurikki... even though Gaara is trying to change he is not dumb enough to forgive someone who tried to kill him so the gennin dropped out of the finnals, and from the world of living as well... so the Hokage decided to make a mini-tournament to decide who would take his spot and Shino won. Easy right?

Shino started the fight by doing... Nothing at all? well thats what a stupid person would think, with part of his soul healed Naruto's reiatsu got a litte more... uh... tamed? pacific? i don't know... he can use it better now, so he can focus a bit if it on his eyes and improve his vision, not to a sharingan degree but close. And as a bonus, it has no visual like his Kyugan, and can be stacked with his Kyugan.

Shino sent a wave of tiny bugs at Sasuke who could only dodge them becauae of his sharingan, Sasuke then launched a fireball at Shino who dodged it easily, all the while Shino's bugs were chasing Sasuke, who instead of burning them to crisps continued to try to hit Shino... 3 braincells dude, 3 braincells...

Anyway, Some bugs got dangerously close to Sasuke and thats when he activated his strongest trump card... the plot armor jutsu... i mean really...

Sasuke suddenly went overdrive and started to make hand seals he then... uh what?

Sasuke instead of using the super efective fire style used a wind jutsu? A element he doesn't even have a affinity for? As you should expect from a uchiha, its obviously a copied move. Sasuke used Naruto's Wind claws but it was embarrassing just how much weaker than Naruto's one... Shino easily dodged and sent some bugs to cut Sasuke's exit route so Sasuke was cornered.

Things were not looking good for the uchiha huh? thats were you are wrong! did he make a trap ? No!

So what? when an animal with subpar intelligence is cornered is when they get scarier.

Sasuke completely ignored his promise to Kakashi and used a chidori against a ally... great guy...

Shino saw his bugs being electrified and Sasuke sudden speed increase and did the reasonable and gave up... but just like Shikamaru, he proved his good strategic side, great power to corner the dumb uchiha and good decisions when he gave up as soon as he knew he couldn't beat Sasuke. So he probably will become a chunnin...

Fourth fight, Gaara vs Kankuro... do we really need to say what happened? Well... Kankuro forfeited the second the match was announced.

Fifth match, Neji (who got a free win) vs Naruto (hehe boy)

As soon as Naruto saw who he was fighting against he sneered. Call him arrogant but he did not see himself losing in any way.

"It seems that we meet again, Neji.

How was your time at the hospital?" As soon as Naruto's voice reached Neji's ears a scowl appeared on his face.

"Last time you got me by surprise, that's not going to happen again! Fate has already decided me the winner!" Neji seems to not have learned his lesson yet...

"Again with this nonsense?" Naruto's voice was no longer the playful tone as before.

"Start" The proctor said as he jumped away while thinking

'No way in hel* i will stay in the arena when Naruto fights' smart guy.

As soon as the proctor said this Neji jumped back

"What? weren't you going to defeat me? are you waiting for a fated lighting bolt to smite me or what?" Naruto mocks

A tick mark appears on Neji's forehead, he completely ignores his previous strategy and rushes at Naruto with the intention to compete with Sasuke to see who has less braincells...

"Come on Neji, I can let you have the first hit" Naruto said, loud enough dor everyone to hear it.

Neji attacks Naruto with the new technique that he learned recently, 8 trigrams: air palm burst.

Like the normal air palm, but the air explodes instead of focusing on your tenketsu, this technique is better for when you are slower and can't hit your opponent precisely... now you may say: But Naruto was standing still... And then you would remember in what Neji is competing with Sasuke.

As his attack connected, Neji grinned

"Your fate is to lose this fight-" Before he could re-monologue about fate and all of that BS, Naruto interrupts him

"Is that it? Oh well... My turn" As Neji hears this he immediately jumps back, remembering the last time he got hit by Naruto...

"What are you doing Neji? Are you going to fight me or do you only know how to talk BS and run?"

"SHUT UP!" Neji, again, stupidity rushes at Naruto who in return decides to test a ability he didn't use before.

He extends his hand and a sword forms on it, he then throws the sword on air and says

"Twist thy souls, Uzuryu" Naruto decided to test his Shikai second form, as his Zanpakuto falls on his hand, it isn't a sword anymore, but a scythe instead.

Everyone who saw that was astonished, but no one questioned it... Anime logic...

Naruto blocked Neji's strikes with his scythe and lazily attacked back, from time to time. When Neji got a bit tired, Naruto hit him with the handle of the scythe as he exclaimed

"Well, that was boring... The fight is already over and i didn't even had fun..." Neji finally snapped at Naruto's words, even though he didn't aim for that...

"Why you bastard!?" As this word left his mouth... the word seemingly came to a standstill...

"What... did... you... just... call... me?" Naruto slowly asked

"I said that you are a bastard! your fate is to loose, aways were and aways will be! so why are you so- Ack" Before Neji could finish his words, a chain shot from the ground and held him by his neck.

"Neji, let me get the facts straight here... You had a incredibly good life, you had an entire clan that supported you when your father died, even though you mistreated the princess of your clan, your uncle was kind enough to not punish you, and you HAD YOUR FAMILY FOR A LONG TIME.

Now because you lost ONE person... your entire life is already decided? everyone and everything doesn't matter? What are you? An imbecile?

My life was at least 10 times worse than yours, and at least 100 times harder than yours, and i never gave up and started blaming fate because of it, If you gave up your will to go against fate, Then i guess its fate that i won, because fate made you such a loser, that someone that never had one of the things you AWAYS had, is now better than you, because he didn't lower his head to 'fate'.

I know that my father and mother sacrificed themselfes for the village 12 years ago, thats why i do my best to honor their names, your father sacrificed himself for his family and clan, and here you go, destroying his name, Way to go Neji"

After his long talk no jutsu, Naruto lifts his finger, pointing upwards.

"I am tired of this, if you were not someone Hinata cares about, i would not lose my time even trying to show you the truth...

Oh on that matter Neji...

If you ever touch as much as a hair on her head, you wont get to hear a long talk and take a trip to the hospital again, it will be way worse."

As Naruto finished his words, his finger starts to emit chakra, and slowly a yellowish orange sphere appears, rotating above his finger, everyone thought it was a fire jutsu but in reality

"Scorch release: Cruel Sun" Naruto muttered the first part just to imbue his intent on the jutsu, but loudly said the second, to mask it.

*Boooooom*

As the jutsu hit Neji, he was sent flying straight into the wall, where he immediately passed out, only to be immediately taken away, straight to the hospital.

Konoha's medic nins must be really close friends of Neji, he always goes there to meet them afterall...

In the kage's seat

"Incredible, he managed to improve the fourth hokage's jutsu" surprised said the 'kazekage'

But Hiruzen was too ocupied to answer him.

What was he doing? he was re-re-re-reading the marriage certification that he got from his marriage with Danzo...

apparently he didn't cancel the event after he got to know of it. 'It would be bad for the image of a kage if he got pranked into this' he said, but we all know that it was because he did not oppose the idea at all...

Neji woke up at the hospital... again...

he looked to the side of his bed only to see his uncle.

The disappointed look he expected never came, instead a warm smile greeted him

"We need to have a talk Neji..." Hiashi said while searching for something in his pockets. He got a letter and gave it to Neji.

"Read it and after you see what's inside, come talk with me..." Hiashi said and walked off of the room to give Neji some space...

Neji opened the letter and saw

"That's... That's my father's handwriting..." As he read the letter his father left for him, crying he remembered the two times he lost to Naruto. His words now having a deep impact on Neji.

Next fight Sasuke vs Temari

They face eachother in the middle of the arena.

Temari isn't going to give Sasuke time to use his chidori so she starts by using a wind jutsu to make him dodge while she starts to unfold her fan, Sasuke while in the air make hand signs and spews a massive fireball at Temari, who is not an idiot to take it on and dodges... now i seriously think that konohas gennins have mental problems...

Anyway, after she dodged the fireball she starts to throw wind blades at Sasuke who has difficult in dodging them as they are really fast.

Sasuke keeps being bombarded by wind blades but he is not idly taking the attacks as he soon finish another set of hand signs and creates a earth wall in front of himself... again getting a heavy drain on his chakra as he has no affinity towards earth... this dude is dumb...

Temari seeing this just does what anyone would, she jumps back as she throws a kunai with a paper bomb at the wall

*BOOM* as soon as the dust clears and she does not see Sasuke there she gets on guard, but the sound of what seems to be 1000 birds makes her just turn to the proctor and say

"I give up!" As much as Temari wants to continue the match and is confident in defeating the uchiha, she can't risk getting injured right before the invasion. so she decided to give up before it happens... but she would probably challenge Sasuke later to see what would be the result of this battle...

The next match is announced to be half an hour latter, to give time for the contestants to rest. And it will be
