Supposed To Be

From now on, it will be one chapter per day, but as an incentive, here are the goals for extra chapters beyond the daily ones:

300 power stones - 1 extra chapter.

400 power stones - 1 extra chapter.

Top 5 - 3 extra chapters.

Top 1 - 4 extra chapters.

------------------------------

It seems that the power ranking is bugged, but I considered it and am making the chapters available.

If we reach another goal, I will make it available after a few hours, as I am going to sleep now, in my country it is night.

Reward Achieved (1/2): Top 10 - 2 extra chapters.

"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" Carol knocked on the door for the fourth time.

"My God! It's 5 in the morning! Who is it?" A groggy and frustrated voice came from inside the house.

"Maria... it's Carol. I'm back." Carol shouted back, her voice slightly hoarse and her eyes red.

The sounds of footsteps inside the house stopped for a moment, but then the sounds of someone rushing came, and the door was quickly opened.

"C-Carol!" Maria, who appeared at the door, put her hand over her mouth, and her eyes widened.

The two of them then hugged tightly and cried.

During all this time, I was sitting on the bench next to the door.

After hugging for a while, they let go.

"Where have you been all these years? Why didn't you come back?!" Maria practically demanded an answer from Carol.

"Well, it's complicated." Carol said, a little unsure of how to explain the craziness that had been her last 6 years.

"So uncomplicate it." Maria wasn't going to let her get away without an answer.

"Carol was abducted by aliens, lost her memories, and was brainwashed. She fell back to Earth, and I helped her. Oh, by the way, my name is Tony Stark, the future husband of Carol." I said as I stood up and extended my hand.

But Maria didn't shake my hand, as she was too shocked by everything I had said.

"Tony Stark is in my house?" She said, looking at me with wide eyes.

"Huh? Is he famous? And don't listen to the crap this guy is saying. He and I just met." Carol asked in surprise but then didn't care anymore.

Maria looked shocked at Carol, "Now I believe that you were abducted by aliens if you don't know Tony Stark."

After some discussion, and Carol showing her light show to clear Maria's doubts, Maria invited us in to talk.

"So, you're the richest and most influential man in the world? And practically a living saint?" Carol asked, looking surprised at me.

"You forgot the most attractive, intelligent, and powerful, but, yeah." I said, winking at her with a mischievous smile.

Carol rolled her eyes but didn't deny it.

"Are you and Carol really in a relationship?" Maria asked.

"Not yet, but I hope she'll give me a chance to take her on some dates." I said, smiling at Carol.

"Well... it's not impossible, but I have to sort out the things Mar-Vell left first." Carol said, blushing a little.

"Well, you'll have to be patient with Carol. The dates she's had always ended in failure because the guys were jerks, and Carol doesn't put up with jerks." Maria said, amused by me.

"Don't worry; I can be a jerk, but I'm a good jerk, and I'll fully respect and value Carol." I said seriously.

"Hahaha. It's just a date. You're taking it too seriously." Carol laughed, amused by my words, but I saw that she liked it.

We continued to talk and laugh as we began to have breakfast that Maria had prepared.

"Aunt Carol!" While we were talking, we heard a shout coming from the stairs.

It was a cute girl with curly hair... Monica Rambeau.

The girl ran and hugged Carol.

"Wow, you've gotten so big, Lieutenant Trouble." Carol looked surprised at the girl, then her face softened into a smile, and she lovingly stroked the girl's hair.

The gathering continued as everyone had fun.

After lunch, Carol decided it was time to work.

"Tony, can you find Mar-Vell's lab for me?" Carol asked me with a serious look.

"Well, I can. It's not difficult. Even if it's in camouflage mode and not emitting any information transmissions, it'll still be exposed to me." I said, playfully patting my chest with arrogance.

Well, I could always have taken the Tesseract, but without Carol's blood and tissue samples, I couldn't safely conduct tests before exposing myself to the energy of a light-speed engine.

So, I left it there while waiting for Carol to arrive. I have many things to study, and whether I get the Tesseract now or later doesn't make much difference.

Fortunately, today I'll have everything I need to start studying an Infinity Stone.

"So, please find it for me." She said, looking into my eyes.

"Well, it wouldn't be a problem, but there's an even easier way. Just ask Grinch over there." I said, pointing my thumb to the side, where Talos was stealthily entering.

Talos, who found himself being stared at by everyone in the house, froze.

He awkwardly adjusted his jacket and cleared his throat.

"Ahem Well, it didn't go as I expected." Talos said, embarrassed.

Carol didn't speak or attack. After recovering her memories, she was calmer and not as prejudiced against the Skrulls.

...

"Well, I expected more aggression, but this seems good." Talos said with a strange look as he found himself sitting and having coffee.

"Well, I underwent brainwashing by the Kree for 6 years. I won't form an opinion about an entire race based on the opinions of my captors." Carol simply said.

"Ohh! So you've regained your memories. Well, this will be easier. I managed to get something you people call a 'black box' from the accident 6 years ago. It recorded your voice. And with some more research, I managed to find out who you are, what set you apart from the others." Talos explained his sudden lack of aggression and why he was looking for her.

"How did you manage it? They said the black box was destroyed in the accident." Maria asked, surprised.

"I guess you didn't understand, young lady. I have the ability to enter places where I'm not supposed to be." Talos said, amused.

"Call me young lady again, and I'll put my foot in a place where it's not supposed to be." Maria said angrily, threatening Talos.

"... Am I supposed to guess where that is?" Talos asked, not understanding.

"Your ass!" Carol and I said at the same time, amused.
