Chapter 9: My first day in the city

(Jack POV)

"Jack wake up".

I open my eyes. I see Judi's face. She knocked on my head. "Oww..." I said, "Why did you hit my head?"

"Look! We have now arrived at the city's entrance" she replied.

I look ahead. It was a big wall and a big door entrance in the middle. Two gourds approach us. One of them started to ask Judi.

" Did you have something to do in the city? Please show your identity. We want to confirm that you are not from a bandit group" He said.

Then Judi grabbed something from her pocket. It was a small green goblin sculpture with her name on it. She showed it to the gourd

" I am from the goblin clan. I will join the Callosum Festival fight tomorrow," she said

He looks at the elf and asks the same question. Then she shows him a small white elf sculpture "I am from the elf clan. I have to meet my boyfriend here"

Now it's my turn. I don't have anything to show him. But he let me in "You are human. You can enter the city now without cheek in"After hearing what he said I am so happy. Being human is not bad at all.

The door of the entrance opens. We enter the city.

"wow," I gasped in surprise. This city is so beautiful. There are a lot of people and buildings. Most of the people I saw here were non-human. More like Judi village, There are more women than men here.

We stop at a building. It looks like an inn. Me and Judi jump off the carriage. We said thank you to the elf and she drove the carriage away. She turned back and said "Have a nice day both of you"

After that Judi said" Now carry all this stuff to the in"

"Did you have enough money?" I ask her.

"What is the money? We know coins," she replied. I forgot that money doesn't exist In this world.

"Don't worry about it. Just carry all these things and go in" she stated. I do like what she said.

When I got in, a goblin in the inn greeted me" Hello sir. Welcome to our inn. Which room do you want to s...."

She looked behind me and then shouted "Judi!" and ran to hug Judi

"Hello Auntie it has been too long" Judi replied.

"How about your mother?"

"she is a bit busy with her work. but she is okay"

"Glad to hear that." she looks at me "Who is this man? Is he your husband?"

"No.....!" she replied"He's just my friend. don't tease me, Auntie"

It is so embarrassing For her. Then she told me to carry all my stuff to the room on the second floor.

When I arrived at the room. Everything there looks so cosy and classic. If I still have my phone I will capture the picture of this room. I drop all my stuff in the room and then walk outside. I saw Judi still have conversations with her aunt. I don't want to interrupt them so I walk away. But I bumped into a guy.

"What the hell are you doing here? You are a thief" he shouted at me

"No! I am....."

"don't lie" he pulls my collar "I pull the sh*t out of you" he raised his fist.

"No! Don't hurt me!" I scream. He was ready to punch me but he stopped after hearing Judi's aunt say" Stop! Mike, He isn't a thief. He is Judi's friend."

"Huh!" he drops me and looks at Judi" My niece when did you arrive here?" he said.

He ran to hug her but got a punch to his face by her.

"How many times that you tried to hug me in a pervert way? I don't like perverts you know. And stop doing violence I don't like it" Then she pulled me to get up"Are you alright Jack?"

"I am fine"I replied in a tremble. His action made me remember my past life. A horrible one that I have experienced. It happened to me when I was in high school. I was always beaten by bullies at my school. It hurt me a lot until now even though I reincarnation.

After that, I sat on a chair to regain my calm. Then I felt someone slap my back"Ow!" That was A man that I encountered earlier. He walks from behind me and sits on the chair in front of me.

"Sorry for what I did to you earlier. I thought you were a thief at first" he apologizes.

"It now a big trouble. I am fine" I replied. Then I noticed that I saw two big teeth out of his mouth I asked him" Are you not human?"

"huh! Yes, I am not human. I am from the orc race. My mother is an orc and my father is a human. Do you want to ask anything else?" he replied.

"oh! Yes because it is my first time here I want to ask you. Why are the people I see here and in some villages mostly more women than men?."I ask him.

"The reason is because of a disease that only infects human men. It happened 300 years ago. The disease occurs only for a short time. But it caused serious problems.

The male population is declining and the population is falling after that. It is the reason why you see women more than men." he answered.

So that is the reason that the knight let me in. "what about this city?" I asked him.

"This city is the place where humans and other species can live together. this city has a lot of amazing places, especially the Guild and Dungeon. The guild was the place where you can find a job. And the dungeon is the place where every hunter and adventurer goes to hunt the dangerous monsters to get loot to trade at the guild." he replied.

Wow! It feels like I enter the anime world now. it's hard to imagine for me. But the only thing I want now is to rest and find my happiness.

Then he whispered something to me"I will tell you about a rumour. it is about the monster girl queens. They never married any male. They have been waiting for a man. I am not sure who he is because I have heard this rumour from my mother." then he gets up and walks to the door "This is all I know I think it will help you a lot. enjoy your life here kid!" he leaves the room.

Not important details but they made me curious. The Queen should be married to a noble or the strongest person. But who is the man they waiting for? I remember clearly in anime the queen or princess liked to choose to follow the main protagonist who recarnation. Did that man be me? Stop thinking it can't there are no points that that is me. I am so weak it can't be me at all.

After that, I left the room and walked to the entrance."let's view the beauty of this city". Now I will enjoy this place. when I stepped out I noticed a small thing on the road "It looked like a phone" I gasped.

When I got close it made me surprise. It was a phone and it was my phone. I pick it up and open the screen. My phone still has power but it was infinity power. There were a lot of strange apps that I had never seen before.

Then touch a black app with a logo like an ID " What the hell"
