Ridding Oneself Of A Sin!

"For the next 15 years, we will peacefully meditate here and get rid of your imperfection. Your mortal sin arrogance shall disappear!" The mysterious person said with a dead serious face, causing Saber to become angered. He expected some intense training or some techniques or something, but what he got was a meditation session.

"What about the time you said that you'll properly teach me in the way of the sword, and the True Undying Body Art? Was that a lie or something?" Saber questioned while trying to hold in his anger. His master then let out a smile while saying with a calm tone.

"Hmm, but if you lose your arrogance and this anger, not only will your sword mastery improve, but also your physical strength and Sage cultivation. We are currently about to improve you from an imperfect mortal to a semi-perfect mortal. The only thing you'll be missing is absolute strength in the mortal rank before you could claim to be the perfection of mortal creation!"

Hearing this, Saber couldn't help but feel as if his master was trying to brainwash him, but he also wanted to increase his strength, so he simply nodded his head and changed his posture to that of a lotus position before asking.

"Where is this anyway?" His voice tinged with confusion when asked where his current location was.

"The third floor of the tower. A floor designated for only those who have nine tails. Once you have become one with yourself, you'll be able to pass. But, worry not about passing this floor in a few centuries since you are quite the distance away from reaching such a level."

He said with a cold voice and with an aura of aloofness and indifference way more potent than Saber's ever was while he then continued.

"Normally, things such as ridding oneself of a mortal sin are only done when one wants to enter the Immortal realms, but at the current moment, for someone with a bloodline such as yours, it is possible to rid at least one of your mortal sins." He said as the surroundings were permeated with a sweet scent.

Instantly after being assaulted with such a scent, Saber felt as if his mind was cleared from all useless thoughts. He began feeling an immense comfort as it was comparable to his time in the sea of darkness that he enters when asleep.

Saber's master then gestured for Saber to follow his breathing motions. Not wanting to waste any time, Saber did what his master was doing as he abruptly felt a massive difference. Not just in his mind as his perception was enhanced, but he also felt as if his muscles relaxed and his surroundings began becoming inaudible.

Continuing the breathing motion, Saber felt as if he was somehow melting and becoming one with the water he was sitting on. Surprisingly, he was able to remain calm and relaxed while he watched as he became one with the water. Thereafter, his consciousness drifted off into the darkness for but a mere moment.

Without realizing how or what happened, Saber found himself standing in a white space that had a black tiled floor. The white space seemed to stretch indefinitely. With a look of confusion, Saber began walking in a random direction.

While walking, Saber could barely discern the sound of creepy noises and some weird but beautiful and sweet voices singing. Not only that but he also heard cherry laughter and angry shouts. Finally, after walking for what seemed to be hours, he was able to see another person...well, actually seven.

All seven sat on thrones as they all gazed at his incoming figure. They all seemed to have a higher archy of the sort since the ones at the end who seemed to be the weakest of the lot also had smaller thrones.

In the middle of the seven, Saber was able to see a carbon copy of himself. The only difference was the fact that this one had a frown on his face and a dark expression which was unlike his cold and indifferent expression.

Sitting on this Saber's right was another copy of Saber, but this one had a bright but obvious cocky and haughty-looking smile on his face. If this was not enough to make it clear that he was Saber's incarnation of arrogance, then Saber would truly be an idiotic fool.

It seemed that this arrogant incarnation knew what Saber came for since he immediately hopped out of his throne and approached Saber's direction. With a smile on his face, he asked Saber.

"Did you not know that if you are to die here, we will be able to take over your body. So tell me, where did you gain such confidence to come to this place?"

Hearing such words, Saber wasn't fazed and instead materialized a sword and abruptly attacked his arrogant incarnation. The arrogant fool seemed to have been caught surprised by Saber's sudden attack but, he was able to also materialize a weapon that seemed to be a staff and attempted to counter Saber's attack.

Slash!

Saber's attack went straight through the sword as if it was a hot knife passing through butter. Not only that, but Saber's sword sliced the arm of the arrogant incarnation who let out a grimace. He then continued with his attack.

His sword appeared to be rather close to the arrogant incarnation's neck in but a mere instant as he slashed at the incarnation's neck, slicing its head off. Saber finished the fight in seconds, leaving most of his other incarnations shocked.

The only being who remained with his usual expression was his wrathful incarnation. Saber only smiled after seeing this. He felt a different kind of connection whenever gazing at his wrathful side, and he wanted to know what it was.

But, just as Saber was about to approach the incarnations on the thrones, his vision blurred as he found himself sitting in a lotus position. Perceiving his surroundings, Saber realized that he seemed to be located on the third floor of the tower.

"Why did I appear here?" Saber asked out loud. He knew his master was aware of the answer so he did not waste any time asking him.

"If you fight or kill any more sins at your current level of strength, you'll become an emotionless and insentient lifeform. If it was not for your bloodline, you would have long become insentient by killing your arrogant incarnation."

The mysterious person calmly stated. His words caused Saber's calm eyes to flicker with unknown light while he got up from his position and faced his master.

"So, what training are we going to do now?" He said with slight anticipation. Even though he had rid himself of arrogance, he was still a battle junkie, and that had nothing to do with arrogance.

"What training? It has already been fifteen years inside here. Outside of this Black Ring, that one female disciple had become extremely impatient for your attention. I think she wants to ask you something for the past three months.

Plus, it's been almost six years since you exited your cave. Even though such a time is not worth mentioning, it'll be better to make it known that you're alive and alright."

His words once again caused a flicker of light to ripple in Saber's eyes. Saber was then thrown out of the Black Ring as he appeared on top of the bed he hadn't seen in technically fifteen years.
