Chapter 32 School Arc (16)

As I watched the flames consume Jord,I felt really bad. I knew I had done something that led to his death. It weighed on my heart. I couldn't deny the truth: I was the one who caused this. I was the one who threw the chemical that led to his demise. But in that moment, it felt like I was the one who would bear the burden of his death.

As what had happened back then, I understood that I had no other choice. It was either him or me. In the end, I had to make a split-second decision to protect myself and others.  The guilt hurt, but I couldn't think about it now. There were still people in danger, and I had to focus on saving them.

...

Meanwhile, Captain Edward Wilson and Kevin Bridget had already defeated the terrorists, managing to take down 40 of them. However, their victory came at a heavy cost, with 25 police officers losing their lives in the battle. With only 10 officers left standing.

"We can't afford to waste any more time," Captain Edward Wilson declared firmly, his thoughts filled with concern for his son. "Please be safe, Michael," he silently prayed, hoping for his son's well-being amidst this situation.

With strong determination showing on their faces, the remaining officers regrouped, prepared to deal with whatever obstacles came next. They knew that the safety of the school and its students depended on their actions. Every second counted, and They couldn't relax for even a moment.

Kevin Bridget couldn't stop thinking about his son, and his wife picturing them somewhere amidst the chaos, desperately wishing for their safety. "Hang in there, Ken, Olivia. We're coming for you," he whispered quietly, his voice filled with worry and determination.

As Captain Edward Wilson and Kevin Bridget, with the rest of the officers, walked through the halls of Midtown High School, they felt heavy-hearted seeing the destruction. The damaged classrooms and the quiet halls made them feel sad, but they kept going forward.

As they walked down the halls, the police officers and Kevin saw something really sad: there were students and teachers lying on the floor, not moving. They were hurt because of the fighting that happened in the school.

They felt really mad when they looked around. They were so angry that their teeth were tightly clenched together. "This is not okay," Kevin said angrily, his hands squeezing into fists at his sides. "No one should have to go through something like this."

Captain Edward nodded seriously, looking at the dead bodies on the ground. "We'll make sure those responsible pay for what they've done," he promised firmly. "But right now, we have to make sure everyone else is safe."

As they continued through the hallways, Captain Edward Wilson and the remaining officers encountered five terrorists. With tense determination, Captain Edward held up his gun, speaking firmly and seriously. "Stop right there," he said firmly. "Surrender now, or else we will be forced to shoot."

The terrorists paused, thinking about what to do next as they looked at the serious faces of the police officers. Everyone felt like they needed to do something quickly. Captain Edward and his team were all set to do whatever was needed to stop the terrorists and keep the school and its students safe.

At last, one of the terrorists gave up by putting their hands up, and the others did the same, though they seemed unsure. The police officers felt a wave of relief and approached to arrest the terrorists. They stayed focused.

As they made sure the terrorists couldn't harm anyone, Captain Edward's mind went back to his son, Michael. He really hoped Michael was safe in all this mess. With every step they took, he quietly prayed for his son to be okay, wanting more than anything to find him and make sure he was alright when everything settled down.

Meanwhile

(Narrator Pov)

As Thomas Halloway and the students, including Brad Larson, Gall Morson, and Dale Dallas, gathered together, Brad voiced his concerns to Mr. Thomas.

"Teacher Thomas, do you think Spider-Man can defeat him? I mean, no offense, but that guy's arm seems really strong," Brad remarked, his worry evident in his voice. As Brad pointed his eyes toward the hole where Spider-Man and Jord Hos had disappeared

Mr. Thomas paused for a moment, considering Brad's question carefully before responding. "I'm not sure, Brad. But we have to trust in Spider-Man.We have to believe in him," Teacher Thomas replied, his tone reassuring as he tried to instill confidence in the group.

As they waited nervously for Spider-Man to come back, everyone felt really tense. They were all staring at the hole where Spider-Man and Jord Hos had disappeared, and each second felt like it was dragging on forever.

Suddenly, they heard a quiet noise—a soft rustle, then the unmistakable sound of webbing. Dale's eyes got really big as he pointed up, and everyone else looked there too.

A shiny web dangled from above, catching everyone's attention. Suddenly, Spider-Man swung out from the hole with a smooth move. Seeing him made everyone feel much better, like a weight was lifted off their shoulders.

Spider-Man landed gently, looking around the room until his eyes rested on Mr. Thomas and the students.

As Spider-Man came out of the hole, the students couldn't hold back their emotions. They cried with both relief and gratitude, feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off their shoulders. Seeing their new hero in his black suit, with his determined blue eyes peering out from behind his mask, filled them with a sense of safety and hope.

"Mr. Thomas, you look like you've aged a century in the last few minutes! Are you that worried about me?" Spider-Man chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"Oh, you got me!"  Thomas laughed through his concern, wiping away a pretend tear. "I guess I've turned into a sentimental old man." Deep down, Inside, he pondered, "Who'd have guessed that the fearless 'Angel' would end up like this?"

Then Dale spoke up with relief and thankfulness: "Spider-Man, you did it! You saved all of us!"

As Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) talked with Dale, he remembered how Dale had acted before. Dale seemed a bit tough and sometimes caused problems to him, Michael Wilson and His friends. But now, in this dangerous situation, Michael Wilson saw a different side of Dale. Dale was caring and brave kid. He had shown a side of himself that Michael Wilson hadn't seen before. "Well, they're still teenagers, so that's to be expected." He thought

"I couldn't have done it without your bravery," Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) replied, his voice steady despite feeling incredibly tired. He looked directly at Dale, feeling new respect for Dale Dallas. "And thanks, Um Young Man, for acting fast with those potions. You saved a lot of people today."

Spider-Man felt a mix of surprise and gratitude as Brad stepped forward, his eyes shining with admiration as he looked up at Spider-Man. "Thank you," he said simply, his voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for saving us."

Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) couldn't help but be surprised by Brad's gratitude. "Even Brad too," he thought to himself. "That's so surprising. I mean, Brad is the leader of the bullies. Remembering our fights in the cafeteria and his constant bothering during my time as Michael Wilson, it's unexpected to see him say thank you now." Despite their past, Michael Wilson felt a spark of hope. Maybe there was more to Brad than he thought.

Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) smiled behind his mask, truly thankful. "You're welcome," he said gently. "Just remember, no matter how tough it gets, you're not alone. We're all in this together." His message wasn't just for Brad but for all the students, hoping to inspire a positive change that would resonate with everyone, including Brad and his group.

(MC POV)

Then after that Spider-Man (Michael Wilson) concentrated hard, using his chi sense to find the students who needed help. He quickly located about 40 He didn't feel any evil chi or aura. There were many weakened chi, perhaps around 40 of them. Additionally, he sensed something approaching another room—15 individuals.

As the system displayed the status, I quickly said in my thoughts, "It was Dad. It means the police officers are here in this school. It looks like I'm not needed anymore."

After assessing the situation and with that I give Mr. Thomas the potions, I said to him, "Mr. Thomas, can you take care of things here? Please help these students and others. And here, take these." Then, I quickly made 40 health potions appear out of thin air (inventory). Everyone watching was amazed at what I did.

As the students saw the potions appear out of nowhere, they couldn't believe their eyes. Dale watched in amazement, his face showing a mix of wonder and thankfulness. "Wow, Spider-Man, that's amazing!" he said excitedly, clearly impressed.

Next to him, Brad, the once-bullying leader, stood in quiet shock. His usual tough demeanor melted away for a moment, replaced by a look of wide-eyed surprise. "I never realized Spider-Man could do stuff like that," he whispered, his voice tinged with a newfound respect.

Even Gall, couldn't help but be amazed. "I guess being a hero comes with some pretty cool powers," he said, sounding impressed.

While Mr. Thomas commented, "Every time I see your power, being able to conjure anything from thin air, it always surprises me."

I couldn't resist a chuckle at their reactions before Mr. Thomas asked, "And where are you going?"

"I gotta go now. Cops are here, and the bad guys got caught. So, yeah, gotta say bye," I said, feeling kinda relieved but also kinda bummed. The whole day had been intense, and even though I was glad the police showed up, I'm still feeling worried about my friends, Mark, Chris, and Emily but with Dad and his crew here, I knew they'd be in good hands.

As I was thinking

Mr. Thomas nodded understandingly, a hint of sadness flickering across his face. "I get it," he said softly, his voice filled with a mixture of pride and concern. "After all, I am just like you, a vigilante back in my day. Now go, son. Spread your wings and fly."

Then I nodded back, acknowledging his words. Then, with One final look at them, I swung away, the wind rushing past me, carrying with it a sense of both relief and anticipation as I soared forward, eager for whatever awaited me next.
