that's why Jaxon was already under the rim, Let your imagination do it heheheeh
Jaxon. He was in the middle of the court. Jaxon wasn’t downcourt early or anything like that. He wasn’t hanging under the Vorpal rim. He was just in the middle area. So after the steal, while everyone else froze or hesitated, Jaxon reacted the fastest, turned around, and sprinted back on defense. Meanwhile, Lucas was busy dealing with Alec and others, weaving through traffic, breaking pressure, and fending off challenges. That little delay gave Jaxon just enough time to close the distance. It wasn’t a fast break on Jaxon’s end — it was just a sick recovery play. That’s what made it dramatic. He wasn’t supposed to be there, but he still got back in time.
While Lucas is busy dealing with Alec and the others, Jaxon is already focused on getting back. That’s what I do, if the ball is turned over, I always run back to the court without looking back
Hey, appreciate the comment! Just wanted to clear something up, its early 2000s and yeah, a torn ACL might not sound like the end of the road, especially in the modern world where advance technology is. But in this case, it’s not just 'a torn ACL. Think about a full rupture, possible meniscus/cartilage damage, maybe even multi-ligament injury. The kind that takes over a year to recover from, and even then, you’re not guaranteed to come back the same. Some players bounce back and adapt, but if their game is built on explosiveness, that edge can be gone. Mentally too, it's not easy stepping on the court again when your knee once gave out on you. So yeah, the story's not just about the injury, it’s about how much it takes away from who the character used to be. That’s why it feels like the end of their career, not because they couldn’t technically return, but because the version of them that was dominant is gone. (Think of Derrick Rose Career) Hope that adds some context.
