CH - 10 Kinght's quest (3)

"Sir! We found a lot of star coins and a pair of socks, it looks like an artifact" one of the knights said.

"I can understand that they have star coins but a socks artifact?"

"Yes sir! We even found traces of a strong monster."

Tony was shocked to hear that. He knew that it was not easy for goblins to set up a camp on their own. It looks like The goblin shaman was not the only one who helped these goblins.

"We should hurry back," Tony said.

The others nodded in unison. They all knew that Tony likes to avoid pointless fights. Why you ask? Well, as the saying goes, 'A great general avoids wars, not because he is scared, but because he knows the consequences of it'.

Tony then went and checked the Sock artifact mentioned by the knights. The artifact was placed inside a box. He felt some kind of energy coming from the artifact that he did not know of, so he closed the box and placed it in the side pocket of the saddle worn by Aicus.

"Everyone! Are you guys ready to move?" Shouted Tony.

"Sir Yes sir" everyone shouted.

Everyone sat on their Rhinos and started moving. They were moving at a fast pace but were on high alert. They knew that a high-rank monster is roaming in the forest, so they have to try their best not to get killed.

Passing several trees and bushes, Aicus spotted a shadow figure so he immediately halted. Seeing him stop, other Rhinos also stopped immediately.

"What's the matter, Aicus?" Tony asked.

"Shh, see, there is a strong monster there. I guess that is a goblin champion." Aicus said with a straight face. Well, it's a Rhino.

Tony looked in the direction where Aicus told him to and it was indeed what he guessed. The figure was approximately

9 feet tall. It was a green-colored monster who had a bulked-up body. Two sharp fangs came out of its mouth. It was wearing old and worn-out leather armor with some metal coated on the armor. There was also a Warhammer near him. It was in decent condition.

It was eating some monster that it killed. It took out bits of the animal (deer) who seemed to be alive and munched it happily. The goblin champion was torturing the half-dead dear. This was the nature of goblins. They enjoy playing with their prey and torturing them to death.

Tony was grossed out by this but he was the leader so he had to make his decision quickly.

"Retreat," Tony said in a low voice.

"You know I can kill that monster, right?" Aicus asked.

"Yes, I am not worrying about you, I am worried about the knights. They don't have the defense you rhinos have." Tony replied.

"Fair enough." Said Aicus.

As they were moving, a rhino accidentally stepped on a dry twig.

*Crack*

The goblin champion immediately turned his gaze toward the direction of the group and roared in anger. There were some intruders in his territory, how can he let them do what they want?

The goblin champion sprinted toward the group like a madman. He swung his Warhammer in a semicircle motion horizontally to clear the trees in the way.

Aicus on the other hand got excited to see this and immediately rushed toward the goblin champion. Tony also tightened his grip on the saddle. The other rhinos just watched. They knew the power of Aicus so of course, they knew Aicus can handle a goblin champion and the knights just stayed silent.

As soon as the goblin champion saw Aicus and Tony rushing toward him, he also got excited. He lifted his hammer, trying to smash the rhino but before he could do that, Aicus did a tackle on the chest of the monster and the monster was pushed a few meters away.

The monster crashed into a tree, which did not exist anymore due to the blessings of Aicus. He slowly stood up and cleared some dust on it and then roared. This roar was different from how it was before. It was the ability the monsters gain when they bulk up too much. The ability is berserk. They trade their rational thinking for more strength.

The monster bulked up more and its veins were visible clearly at this point.

"Human...Fight.. come" it roared in anger.

"I heard they lose their thinking but this one got intelligent?" Tony questioned Aicus.

"I guess he was already intelligent, he just didn't bother to talk," Aicus said.

"Why are your guesses so correct?" Tony asked.

"We have something better to do right now, get ready," Aicus said.

Tony took out his spear from the saddle pocket. He channeled some energy through his spear. The spear was now emitting lighting volts it. Aicus too coated himself with lightning volts.

"Ready!" They both said in unison.

The monster rushed toward the duo and the duo did the same. Tony jumped off the back of Aicus. Aicus also rushed toward the monster. The monster lifted his hammer to attack the rhino but Tony who was in the sky, threw his spear from above, aiming for the head but it landed on the shoulder of the monster. Nevertheless, the monster groaned in pain as the spear easily pierced the skin. All because the spear was of good quality.

Because of the pain, the monster couldn't keep the grip on his weapon and dropped it.

Aicus quickly tackled it with full force on its chest. The monster's chest was now gone and was replaced by a big hole. The fight was over before it could even truly begin.

"You did an overkill just now" Tony joked.

"It's not my fault that I am strong" Aicus laughed.

Tony looked at the Warhammer and picked it up thinking 'it's mine now'. The group also reached their city before night. The group was welcomed by several people as they brought several things with them.

Every one of the group went to the 'castle' to see their lord. When they entered the throne room, they saw their lord, meditating. And on his left side was a new face that no one knew. This person had white hair, wore some clothes that they haven't seen in their life and he had a unique sword. This person was a male, at least that is how he looked. He wore a kimono.

Tony went towards the new person and extended his hand.

"Hello, I am Tony. Nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too, I am Tatsuya Yuki."
