Chapter 7

Coruscant...

Darth Sidious also known as Senator Sheev Palpatine of Naboo was furious on how the whole blockade played out. The queen, Padme Amidala and the jedis sent by Chancellor Valorum managed to escape the encirclement. If this is not bad enough, the matter regarding a mysterious fleet also was brought to his attention. A fleet managed to destroy the whole Trade Federation fleet on the space of Naboo to the very last ship.

The whole planet of Naboo also was liberated by this mysterious fleet which calls themselves the Imperial Navy. They ride vessels of unprecedented length and power. Wielding destructive weapons of war capable of tearing through the hulls and shielding of a Luchrehulk-class battleship with ease. The sizes of their most basic ships is half the length of a Luchrehulk-class. Such a matter is already mind blowing for Palpatine.

Countless powerful starfighters each with the size of almost a standard republic corvette. The republic's starfighters are but an ant in front of those starfighters of the enemy.

This Imperium too has a powerful army under their command. Highly efficient armies with powerful weapons and armor. The reports of the spy stated that they also have tank like equipment in varrying sizes which has enough power to blow an armed transport to almost smithereens in one shot.

It's also stated in the reports that this Imperium has uncountable number of fighters of varying sizes. He theorized that this fighters are atmospheric fighters because of its nature in design.

An atmospheric fighter! This concept is actually not that new to Palpatine. The current republic is still using starfighters for atmospheric battles and to achieve air superiority on a planet. Though this has both its advantages and disadvantages, this Imperium already managed to build and mass produce fighters dedicated for atmospheric battles. They have already overshadowed the republic in terms of technological and military innovation.

This immediately made his brains short circuit. An Imperium with such military and technological strength has managed to remain hidden up until now.

"Hmmm, I need to find a way to establish contact with this Imperium. Such a nation or organization will surely be a nice thing to control. They might even know who caused the immense force anomaly a decade ago.And with these deaths on the direction of the Naboo system implies that they're the one who caused these large amount of deaths.Hmmm could it be that they've some kind of sith order in their territories?" schemed Palpatine in his mind. He's certain in his heart that he'll be able to control this so-called Imperium one way or another.

Palpatine haven't forgotten about the failure of the Trade Federation to kill Padme and the jedi masters so he instructed his apprentice, Darth Maul to go to Tatooine and eliminate them. He reasoned that it's time for the sith to present itself back on the galaxy and make it tremble once more.

Jedi council...

Another emergency meeting was called as everyone felt deaths of thousands and still feeking it. The death count is rising each second.

"I assume all of you felt and still feeling the deaths." said Mace as he surveyed everyone with questioning eyes.

"Right you are" nodded Yoda lightly as he was feeling uncomfortable with the deaths of thousands still happening in a specific part of the galaxy.

"Do you think that this event has something to do with the major disturbance a decade ago?" asked Ploo Koon as he remembered the menacing anomaly a decade ago. Rhis made everyone suddenly fell into deep thought trying to make sense of what was happening.

"Answer to this I do not have. Connecting this incident to the disturbance is logical, I think" replied Yoda to Mace.

"We send Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan back to Naboo to investigate I suggest." suggested Yoda to everyone which earned their approval.

Tatooine...

Everything went the same with the events on the movie. Qui-Gon manages to get a drop of blood of Anakin due to a cut and founds out that he has 20,000 midi-chlorians which is too many. Anakin wins the podrace. He manages to earn his freedom and Watto gives the jedi the hyperdrive generator. Anakin agrees to return with them to Coruscant to be trained as a jedi.

Darth Maul arrives on the planet and sends out droids, one of which was destroyed by a jedi because it's been following them.

He ambushes Qui-Gon and his new protege, Anakin Skywalker on their way back to the ship.

Gui-Gon managed to save Anakin and the queen from the clutches of the sith lord and they departed for Coruscant.

Coruscant...

The starship of the queen and company landed on Coruscant safely. There, they're welcomed by the current chancellor Valorum and the sanator of Naboo, Sheev Palpatine.

"Welcome Queen of Naboo to Coruscant!" welcomed Finis Valorum warmly at the exiting Padme and her entourage.

"Thank you chancellor for your warm welcome. My journey here is full of ups and downs but here we are." thanked Padme to Valorum while smiling.

"Queen Amidala, ah, how have you been? I hope your journey went smoothly." said Palpatine with an amicable smile to Padme.

"I've been well senator and thank you for your concerns." replied Padme.

"Queen Padme, I suggest let's go to my apartment so we can discuss the current incidents regarding Naboo." invited Palpatine.

This invitation of Palpatine was accepted by Padme whole heatedly as they went to the senator's apartment.

There Palpatine expressed his skepticism to the republic's ability to stop the invasion of Naboo. He argued that the current chancellor, Chancellor Valorum has no real power and was only seen as a figurehead. He added that the bureaucrats holds the real power in the senate.

"What do you suggest we do senator? We need to find a way to stop this illegal invasion!" said Padme as she slowly tears up. She believed all what Palpatine has said and because of this, she lost any hope left. She can't believe that the republic senate is so rotten to the point that even the supposed highest position in the senate can only be seen as some sort of a figurehead controlled by the bureaucrats like a puppet with strings.

"Now dear there's always something we can do. Raise a vote of no confidence to eliminate the incompetent chancellor from the office.This way, the corruption of the republic would be presented for every sentient being on the galaxy to see.This should be more than enough as a wake up call." comforted Palpatine as he was secretly laughing in his mind as his plan is working.

Padme aceepted this suggestion from Palpatine and thanked him for his help. Now, Palpatine asked a rather weird question.

"Your highness, it has come to my attention that you encountered a mysterious fleet of ships. Is this true?" asked Palpatine which earned him a nod from Padme.

"It's true senator. Their attitude is the worst. They destroyed ships that surrendered to them without batting an eye. Can you imagine that? They're the worst people I've ever encountered in the galaxy. They hate other species that they don't look like them which they label as xenos. How disrespectful is that!" confirmed Padme as she reminisced their time on the battleship with anger in her heart.

"Oh really? Tell me more." said Palpatine showing interest in the story of Padme which prompted Padme to tell him everything.

Padme narrated everything she saw. From the battleships capable of destroying the Trade Federation's fleet in a blink of an eye. To their attitude of human supremacists. Even the how they look like. She said everything to Palpatine.

The doubts regarding the mysterious fleet's power immediately vanished in the heart of Palpatine. He's getting more and more fascinated by this Imperium and he can't wait for the time this Imperium falls under his thumbs.

He suggested to Padme that she keep this matter regarding the fleet a secret to preserve her safety as an organization or a nation with those ships is surely capable of killing her without breaking a sweat.

The planet of Terra...

Reports regarding the widely anticipated senate hearing reached the ears of the senate. A meeting of thousands of galactic representatives can't go possibly unnoticed from the wide network of spies and sleeper agents directly loyal to the Imperium.

The high lords debated within themselves on what's the best action to do regarding this intricate situation.

"This is a good opportunity for us to eliminate the countless xenos and present ourselves to the galaxy in the most domineering way possible!" suggested a high lord.

"We are still undergoing rapid development it will be detrimental if we're going to show ourselves to the galaxy at this point in time.If we want to have the most domineering entrance then we must wait patiently and follow the plam of his majesty." rebutted another high lord.

"I agree with the high lord that we shall wait and observe in the sidelines for now. The opportunity of eliminating xenos wouldn't go even if we wait but presenting ourselves to the galaxy is only a one time event. We need to be domineering as much as possible." said another high lord in acceptance with a suggestion.

This sort of scene continued for hours and hours. Roboute Guilliman was just observing them while thinking of how will this senate meeting affect them. He concluded that a certain girl can have a direct effect to them because she may divulge the existence of the Imperium to a great audience which is totally bad for them.

The girl is the queen of the planet they helped, Padme Amidala. She came in contact with them because of the battlefleet's Lord Admiral provocation on an open channel.

If Padme really brings the matter regarding their existence on the galactic senate meeting then they'll be forced to eliminate her before she gives the speech or during the speech. With their vast network of assassins, having them infiltrate the senate hall and have Padme killed if she decides to bring their existence to light in the meeting.

The people on the senate might seem like an incompetent and corrupt fools but the existence of the Imperium will surely be taken seriously and not just some conspiracy.

Luckily, his father has devised a sub plan with these exact factors that Padme exhibit. He can't help but be really amazed by his father's sheer foresight on things.

Roboute decided to follow the sub plan his father devised. He'll have the vanus assassins keep an eye on Padme all day long from the moment she wakes up to the moment she falls asleep. Everything must be recorded to determine the likelihood of her spilling the tea about their existence.

Roboute didn't bother himself with the people of the jedi council will as they will surely keep secret the existence of the Imperium on to themselves until they can totally verify it to prevent mass panics and hysteria. That's what Roboute can understand about the council.

The existence of the Imperium must be kept secret for as long as possible that's the point which his father stressed.

"Let's hope for the best that Padme will choose the right answer or Palpatine convinces her to keep the existence of the Imperium safe once she arrives at Coruscant." breathed Roboute as he massages his temples due to stress.

The God-Emperor at this time is inside the Hall of Leng practicing, meditating, and experimenting with things. He's been enjoying himself here doing all sorts of stuff like gardening, experimenting all sorts of things, and many more.

He knew that an unstable factor might affect the secrecy of their Imperium so he has created a sub plan for when someone has the chance of divulging their existence to a great audience. This sub plan was given to Roboute and which he ordered the plan specifications be kept a secret.

This plan narrates that if the unstable factor will divulge the existence of the Imperium to a great audience then he/she shall be eliminated while doing the speech or before the speech. He argued in the plan that as long as it's only divulged on a limited number then it's fine totally as it will have this people who knew about it either treat it as conspiracy or be serious enough to search for them which is favorable to them as it will cast another veil of mysteriousness to them giving them more of the shock factor when they finally reveals themselves.

When the people will search for the Imperium's location then it will be in their best interest. Someone who has resources to try and find the Imperium is surely someone who has a high standing in the galaxy and the Imperium can manipulate them to work on the best interests of humanity.

"My liege, the report is just how you said it will be. The girl is an unstable factor that affects the security of the Imperium and the whole plan." reported the Captain General of the Custodes to the Emperor.

"Let Roboute deal with her. He already has studied my plans and I'm fairly certain that he'll follow it." replied the Emperor as he designs a bonsai tree. He's recently picked up this hobby while looking at the plants on the gardens of the Imperial palace.

"Yes my lord!" saluted the Captain General.

At this moment, the information regarding existence of the Imperium has reached the ears of the jedi council with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan telling them the whole story. This matter could be both bad and good for the Imperium. It all depends on how they'll play their card right.
