" What more proof do you want! It's right there, a walking, living human just testified that this paper is yours! Now, Assistant Tony, please take this woman away."
" Ms Xander, I...can't." Assistant Tony said.
" Why not? Do you want someone like her to tarnish our department's reputation? Which solider on the battlefield will trust a medical officer who cheated for her board exams?" She exclaimed
" Excuse me, examiner. It seems that you have already condemned me before giving me a liar chance to prove my innocence." I stated as I looked at her straight in the eye. I stood firmly and said," How are you so sure that Ms. Vanessa is telling the truth about me? Have you, perhaps...colluded with her?" I put it as I saw it. Ms. Vanessa approached me out of nowhere,, and suddenly she has a paper I left behind where we were sitting and that paper is supposedly proof that I was going to cheat for my exam? It just did not make sense, nothing could be this coincidental.
" How dare you?!" Ms Xander exclaimed but it seemed she was out of words and couldn't say more as she kept opening her mouth and closing it again. It seemed I had hit the spot. They were working together to frame me. Coming to Ms Xander's rescue was no other than Ms Vanessa.
" W-what? Char-" Ms Vanessa started but I interrupted her.
" It's Ms Carson to you, do not address me by name." I corrected her.
" Oh, I am sorry. Ms Carson, I did not mean to offend you, I did not know that the paper had such contents if I did, maybe I would have not said anything. Please forgive me, you are the only friend I have made since I got to this center. I was hoping we would get into the military together and be friends." She said her voice getting softer and softer for dramatic effect I suppose.
" But please do not insult our instructor like that, I have never met her before but she is a famous military medical specialist known far and beyond for her great skills. Don't accuse her of something as despicable."
" Oh? Are you saying that you are in this alone? No, that wouldn't make sense, I mean how else would someone who is not of a high social standing afford to access the exam card issued for applicants? After all, you're not even an applicant here are you?" I said which startled miss Vanessa.
" Wha- Of course I a-am an applicant." She stammered.
" Enough! You are here saying such nonsense, it's probably because you are desperate right? You got caught and now you are acting out. I have seen many despicable women like you, who come in to take chances with us. Well, you found the wrong examiner! Get her out!" Ms Xander exclaimed.
I stood there feeling her little helpless, I thought if I showed them that I knew that this was a set up, they would slip or waver but I guess I was wrong. They must have a strong backing for them not to back down that easily. Now the question was, who was it? Who was trying to bring me down? Who was trying to keep me out of the military?
