Chapter 1

'Thank you!' Suzy waved at the crowd and grinned, the big LED screen showing off her blinding white teeth and equally sparkling eyes.

The crowd erupted in wild cheers, everyone shouting, clapping, and congratulating the end of another successful concert.

The spotlights were all around, flashing and dancing with different neon colours, red, green, blue, yellow. Backup dancers were freestyling and greeting the loud hoards of people for coming and enjoying the concert.

The stadium had approximately seats for 25,000 people, and tonight it was full. Tickets had sold out in 20 minutes after it was declared that the famous American-Korean singer, dancer and rapper Choi Suzy was going to do a concert there. And people were crazy to buy the tickets, legally or illegally. It didn't matter. It was Choi Suzy after all!

Choi Suzy. Born in Korea, she had a fiery passion for music from an early age. And that's why she came to America to study music. However, before finishing her studies, she got recruited to a music recording label. After graduating, Suzy released her first single, 'North Wind'.

North wind's blast blew people away. The entire music world was shook at the unexpected storm named Choi Suzy. Charts were ripped off-a single named 'North Wind' shot at 1st places. Audiences of all ages liked her music-specially young generation, as Suzy's music reflected the pain and agony of growing up but also hinted the beauty of getting mature.

Some typical 'song-nerds' had criticized Suzy's music and said things like-

"Her music is just a mass of electronic guitars and shouting"

"Some hard-hitting raps aren't just it"

And- "The surrounding hype will fade away, eventually''

Suzy had shut off all their mouths the next year with her first solo album, 'Pinefresh.'

Things were just great. Suzy was different from all other singers. She mixed her songs, melody and lyrics perfectly, with well-balanced rap and exquisite dance. Her fanbase was growing and her company was planning to give her a world tour.

But then an accident happened.

On December 4th, all the American newspapers as well as the media were buzzing with the news of the famous singer Suzy's car colliding with an enormous truck. The driver was killed instantly, and her manager and the driver of the truck were severely injured.

Suzy was nowhere to be found.

Days after days, all media roared about the missing of Choi Suzy. Column writers wrote a bunch of assumptions about where the body could be. Entertainment tabloids were more than happy to have a topic to shout at. Fans of Suzy demanded justice, surrounded Suzy's company building and tried to strike. The company was silent for the first few days. And then, they released a statement in social media which made everyone's eyes gouge out of the socket and rumors started speed spreading once again.

The statement went like this-

"Hello, this is RFW Entertainment.

First, we deeply apologized for the inconvenience with our artist and not speaking up with it.

We would like to let you know that our artist, Choi Suzy, is currently safe in a hospital. Our team had successfully bought her out of the car she was sitting during the accident, and immediately took her to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. The doctors stated she was safe and in need of proper treatment and rest.

We again apologize for the misunderstanding and would like to request the fans to be patient and give time to their idol, Choi Suzy, to get healed."

With that being said, both Suzy and RFW entertainment got vanished in the thin air. Months after months, the fans didn't get any traces of them-neither the idol, nor the company.

After a month, the hype slowly went down and media got busy with other idols. Nobody talked about Suzy anymore. Even though every week, one or two tabloids made headers saying-"WHERE IS SUZY?"

After five monotone months, suddenly, rumors came alive again. Social media bursted with freshly found gossip's energy and reporters jumped to make news, statements and perhaps get a bonus.

RFW was back. They had released another statement on their social media, claiming that Suzy was successfully healed and she was planning to go out on her first ever world tour.

After a month finally, Suzy appeared at a press conference. Reporters, journalists were stunned by their idols glamorous appearance that night. Suzy wore a red crop top with burgundy pencil skirt, and a matching grey coat with black heels. A necklace with 12 diamond studs hung loosely on her neck with same earrings. Suzy wore light makeup in contrast to her heavy attire, but the deep black mascara and a messy bun really did justice to her beauty.

"Beautiful!"

"Wonderful!"

And many compliments swarmed at the comments under her press photo on social media. Some even praised Suzy's 'better fashion senses' than before.

That night, Suzy explained why she needed rest and why she was gone for six months. She also expressed her gratitude towards her fans for their concern, saying that she missed them a lot. The press conference ended with Suzy's announcement for her first world tour, which was going to start in two days.

Two days later, Suzy flew to France-and RFW company booked concerts in 6 different venues. Successfully finishing 4, tonight was her 5th concert in Paris.

And it leads us in here, where the wrapping up of the concert had come finally and people are leaving. Spotlights had steeled and the large LED screen was deemed off.

Suzy is making her way in backstage. Today was a really tiring day, with the morning starting off with a TV interview and she almost flew over in the venue for rehearsals and at last, the tiring concert has ended. She had given every ounce of her energy in here, and all she wants is to go back to her hotel room, eat some snacks and crash in the bed.

As soon as Suzy stepped onto the pathway clad in her hoodie, lots of cameras flushed. Wow, these reporters never take a break, huh?

Fortunately, six bodyguards surrounded her and blocked out the dazzling flashes and swarms of people. They led her to the car and shut the doors, blocking all noises.

The ride to her hotel would've been pleasant-if those dogged reporters didn't chase her car like a flock of bees and the driver didn't have to take different routes; sharply turning in alleyways all the time.

Suzy snorts. Well, this is the protocol. Her hotel location cannot be known by any means.

Finally, they arrived at the hotel. Her manager was already waiting-he safely took Suzy in the hotel room, bid her good night and left.

First thing first, Suzy takes a hot shower and removes all the makeup which was itching for the sweat. Dressed in a light robe, she comes back into the room and takes out a soda can from the fridge. Popping off the bottle, she takes out her mobile and tapped it on.

Blue light from the screen illuminated the rather semi-dark room. 10 missed calls. All from her CEO.

Suzy furrowed her eyebrows. No way.

Suzy presses call to CEO. It is weird, as she knows it isn't exactly the working hour in her country America, and she knows that receiving that much calls from CEO is never a good sign.

CEO answered the call almost immediately. "Hello, Rita! Thank gosh you called! I was worried sick-"

"There's no need to worry," she cut him off. "You know I was at the concert. What happened?"

"Well," the CEO said, a little hesitantly. 'How are you?'

'I am fine, very much, thanks.' Suzy says, sipping from her soda. 'But why did you call, though? You never call someone first, much less leaving 10 missed calls.'

There was a prolonged pose. Then CEO said, 'Rita, do you know about the upcoming idol-survival show, "Who's your Idol"?'

"Who's Your Idol?'' Yes, Suzy has heard about it. The TV and the social media are bumbling about this show for weeks now. Apparently, it's a survival show for idols-or more specifically, trainees and idols based on Korea and America. All freshly debuted idols could audition here and find a chance to participate-and maybe fulfil their dreams. The six people making it to the final will get the chance to debut or re-debut solely under a prestigious company. And the winner will also get a unique prize which is still unknown to public. That made the show pretty interesting in public's eyes-and also the fact that many rising idols were taking part in there, and the show was going to be organized by Korea's largest business companies, made it a hot topic.

So basically idol wannabes and rookie idols wanted to go there and debut. Suzy knows it all.

'Yes, I know. What about that?'

'Well,' CEO took a long breath, 'You are going to take part in the show as a competitor after two weeks.'

Thwack.

The can in Suzy's hand fell off.
