Chapter 3 : Unfortunate soul.

Sounds of two hard objects clashing with each other echoed in a secluded part of the forest as Nie li keeps on attacking the sturdy tree in front of him.

Punch, kick elbow, Nie li continue hitting it with precision and uniform speed.

This tree is just one of the poor trees in the forest inside the training grounds that Nie li has chosen to be his sparing partners.

Plenty of fallen trees are already lying on the side with a lot of fist marks embedded into their trunks. These are all Nie li's masterpieces.

With a last kick from him, the tree in front of Nie li cannot handle anymore hits from him and finally fell on the ground.

" So this is the power of a Gold Rank fighter huh. Not bad. " he said in a low voice while looking at his fist. Although it turned a bit red in color, Nie li can't feel any pain coming from it despite what he did just now.

It's already been 4 days since the first time he started training his body and it is now his 5th day since the first time he was sent here by the goddess.

At first day, he sold some of his herbs to get money and bought plenty of food. The rest of that day was spent on pounding and mixing herbs to make medicinal ointments and elixirs that he need to strengthen his body.

In a mere four days, Nie li's body had reached the Gold Rank fighter level. If the other fighters in Glory City will get to know this, they will definitely die in envy.

There's only two days left before the start of the class so Nie li planned to reached the Black Gold Rank fighter body in this two days. He has enough herbs and medicines for that as the goddess is quite generous and even considered the possibility of him training his body first. All the herbs he need has been provided.

The only problem now is that, using those herbs and medicines will be very... painful!

Don't get him wrong. In this 4 days, the pain he suffered is already way beyond an ordinary person can handle. We can even say that his resistance against pain is already high but despite that, he still felt fear just by the thought of using those medicines. He was the one who made them so he clearly knows their effects.

After making sure that there's no one around, Nie li entered his personal garden. He then went beside the huge wooden bathtub that looks like a bucket. It's filled with water inside which Nie li prepared before.

Nie li then took out a small bottle from his pocket and poured the liquid inside the huge bucket. The water turned deep green in color after he did that. Taking all of his clothes off, he jumped inside.

" Urrrgghhh!!!! " a weird sound of despair escaped from his mouth. Nie li is currently gritting his teeth as he tried his best to bear the pain he's feeling right now. And after a lot of effort, he finally managed to sat down cross-legged inside the bucket.

He then continue doing that process. He will take out and pour another bottle of medicines evertime he felt that the medicinal effect has lessened or will soon run out.

Time slowly goes on and two days passed by just like that.

Around 5 am in the morning, Nie li slowly opened his eyes. The water inside the huge wooden bucket he's in right now turned into a normal one as all of the medicinal effect was absorbed by his body.

With a satisfied smile on his face, Nie li got up and went jumped off the wooden bucket. After wearing his clothes back, he went out of his personal garden and went back to his dormitory.

Today is the first day of his class so Nie li will definitely attend it without fail.

How can he missed the first start of the canon? That will never happen. He also wanted to personally see the characters that he only reads from the book before. Just how exciting was that?

Arriving inside the dormitory, Nie li first took a bath. It's only 6 am now so he still has plenty of time to prepare.

After he's done bathing, Nie li went to the kitchen to prepare food for himself. He didn't managed to eat anything in the past two days as he's too busy strengthening his body so he will treat himself well this time. Although his body is strong enough to handle not eating for weeks, he didn't want to do that.

As a person from the modern earth, Nie li knows that pleasure of eating delicious food clearly. Added the fact that the food here especially the meat was a lot tastier than the one he consume in earth, how can he missed this opportunity?

" Aah. Thanks for the food. Now time to school. " said Nie li as he stood up and went out of the dormitory.

Arriving in front of the Fighter Apprentice classroom, Nie li opened the door and went inside. By doing so, he saw plenty of students inside and they are also looking at him.

Nie li's gaze was especially captured by the two girls with purple and orange hair. The purple haired girl was obliviously Ye Ziyun whom curiously looked at him for a moment before ignoring him as she returned her gaze towards the orange-haired girl or Xiao Ning er.

Xiao Ning er still had an emotionless expression on her youthful face and didn't even bother looking at him.

' As expected. ' He thought as he was about to step forward when suddenly..

* Clap *

Without turning his head, Nie li caught a fist at the back of his head.

" You!!! Release my hand you commoner! Arrggghh.. It hurts..release me. " said the person behind him.

Nie li turned around to see who was this unfortunate soul that dare to punch him just now and saw that it was... Shen Yue.

With a playful smile on his face, Nie li said, " Huh? And why would I do that? Didn't you tried to punch my me just now? "

" So what if I punch a commoner like you? Do you know who I am? Release me now before I get angry! " said Shen Yue as he prepared himself to use his soul force. He was surprised when he realized that the commoner looking youth in front of him was physically stronger than him.

Nie li still maintain the amiable smile on his face but inside him, he's annoyed so he put more strength on his grip.

" Arrgggg!! You damn commoner! You forced me to do this! " said Shen Yue as he finally released his soul force. " Now die! "

With all of his strength, Shen Yue tried to take back his hand but became so shocked when he realized that he still cannot do it.

" You!! You!! Arrgghh! "

" Me what? I'm sorry but I can't hear you. "

" Release me dammit!! "

" Okay. " replied Nie li as he let Shen Yue go and turned around as he started walking towards the available sit on the back.

Shen Yue was a bit surprised that Nie li indeed released him and was about to pursue him and attack him again but he suddenly felt something from his chest.

* Bam *

' What the! '

That's what Shen Yue's last thoughts before his body flew back 8 meters away and hit the wall. He became unconscious after that.

Every students inside the classroom who witnessed that became dumbfounded. Even Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning er aren't exempted. They don't know what happened as they didn't see anything or anyone attacking Shen Yue before he suddenly flew backwards and hit the wall. So how did it happened?

They then turned their gaze towards Nie li and saw him still walking completely ignoring what happened to Shen Yue behind him. He then took his seat and closed his eyes.

' Did he do it? '

That's the question in every students' mind. But a huge part of them believes that Nie li did it because if he didn't, then who? This made them felt fear towards him and decided to stay away from him in the future.

Ye Ziyun was also staring at him with great curiousity. Just like her classmates, she also didn't see what happened but also believe that it was Nie li who did it. But the question is..... how? This made her curious about him.

Xiao Ning er was also feeling the same but she only took another look at Nie li before taking her gaze away and fell silent. As for what she's thinking at this moment, no-one knows but her alone.

Silence envelopes the room after that before...

" WHO DID THIS??!!

A sudden angry shout was heard from outside the room.
