"If questioned about his past life, the entire Avengers universe series favorite hero may elude him for a moment. However, if asked about the favorite character in the entire Marvel series of films, there is no doubt it would be Uncle Wolf.
'Uncle Wolf?'
Gazing upon the rugged man smoking a cigarette in the corner, the sight prompts Kyle to inquire, never having considered he would encounter the man during this battle.
'Who are you?' The rugged man shot Kyle a surprised gaze.
Taking a deep breath, Kyle introduced himself, 'I am Kyle, a Major General in the United States military.'
'A Major General... Such a high rank appearing alone on the battlefield deep behind enemy lines?' The rugged man cast a skeptical glance at Kyle and asked, as if he had never heard of the American hero legend, 'How old are you?'
'Twenty-three, almost twenty-four,' Kyle shrugged, stepped forward and as he entered the rugged man's three-meter range, the latter's ability card information became clearly visible."
[Fluent in Russian],[Expert in Yoga],[True Assassination Mastery],[True Rifle Mastery],[True Close-Combat Mastery],[True Ancient Martial Arts Mastery],[True Dual Wielding Mastery]...
The sheer quantity of blue and green ability cards was overwhelming and most of them were green, depicting combat techniques.
Even if Kyle had been collecting them among the hundreds of thousands of soldiers and officers in the American military, he only had thirty or so.
Over a hundred combat-related green ability cards signified near mastery of most of the world's combat techniques.
This also indirectly depicted the man in front of them, who must have undergone countless brutal battles to earn such mastery in combat.
But there was more...
Kyle's gaze finally locked onto the two ability cards of the elderly man, one deep blue and one light blue.
[Lone Wolf Gene]: Genetic mutation leads to a mutated physique and temperament reminiscent of a lone wolf. A rare blue ability card.
Three sharp claws extend from between the fingers and the palm of both hands, firmly and sharply connected to the arm bones.
The human body tends towards wolf-like qualities, acquiring the talents of wolves and amplified strength and speed, with beast-like reactions, sharp vision, keen senses of smell, and an innate inclination towards violence and solitary existence in hunting.
Due to the innate solitude of the Lone Wolf, uncontrolled killing may break out as the feral nature runs rampant.
Current status: Limited by the "rare blue" prefix, unable to be drawn.
In terms of destructive power, the Lone Wolf physique far surpasses that of a super soldier.
This is the analysis and evaluation given by Kyle after reviewing the rare blue [Lone Wolf Gene] ability card.
His super soldier is a comprehensive enhancement of the human physique, while the Lone Wolf Gene leans towards the extreme wildness of a wolf. The former is stable, while the latter is more destructive.
The existence of such a monstrous card, the "Lone Wolf Physique", is already abominable, yet the elder in front of him possesses an additional...
The "Regenerative Factor": A self-healing element that resides within the human body, represented by a blue-colored ability card.
This factor circulates throughout the body at all times, clinging to the bone marrow and unable to be removed, even present in every modified gene cell within the organism.
All self-inflicted wounds can be quickly and naturally healed with the aid of the Regenerative Factor. Even life-threatening injuries can be fully restored within half a day. (Although sodium carbon steel can suppress the Regenerative Factor, it can only act as a deterrent. Given enough time, the wounds will still heal.)
The Regenerative Factor will indefinitely slow down the aging process and extend one's lifespan.
Current status: extractable and can be possessed alongside physical enhancement abilities.
[Lone Wolf Gene] [Regenerative Factor ], could it be that he truly is a Uncle Wolf?" Kyle was stunned, yet his demeanor remained composed as he addressed the elder, "I have already introduced myself, may I ask for your name, sir?"
"I am merely a soldier of the Soviet army, there is nothing of significance to introduce." The rugged veteran waved his hand, dropping his cigarette on the ground, and set off on his own.
He still couldn't quite believe that Kyle was a US Major General or whatever, and even if he was, it had nothing to do with him.
"Wait a moment." Kyle tried to detain him, but the veteran quickened his pace and headed down the street.
Kyle narrowed his eyes and followed closely behind, not wanting to miss this opportunity.
This world still didn't have mutants - that was something he had learned at the training base. But now he encountered a man who was like a Wolverine, how could he not be surprised?
"You're really annoying." The veteran ran, glancing back at Kyle who was closely following him. He quickened his pace, soon surpassing the normal speed of a human.
But soon he realized that Kyle was still closely behind him, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake him off.
"What is it exactly that you desire? Are you asking me to resort to violence against you?" The seasoned man ceased his steps, turning around and speaking in a chilly tone.
"Are you alone? Do you have any allies or companions fighting alongside you on the battlefield?" Kyle surveyed the surroundings, confirming that he had yet to spot any other individuals since his arrival.
If the man before him truly was the fearsome Wolverine he knew of, then where was his elder brother, the Sword-Toothed Tiger?
The seasoned man let out a cold snort, "No ally can keep pace with me. Brother? I never had one to begin with."
No brother?
Kyle's eyebrows furrowed, the man before him didn't seem like he was lying, could he truly be a lone wolf?
Kyle thought for a moment and reached into his holster, where his energy pistol was tucked. Just as the seasoned man's gaze sharpened, Kyle tossed over a box of cigarettes, "Looks like you're out of cigarettes, I'm giving you a pack."
The seasoned man deftly caught the cigarettes, giving a quick glance at the packaging and nodding slightly in approval, "American brand, not bad."
He redirected his gaze towards Kyle, his expression slightly softening, "Speak up, what is it that you want from following me?"
"You bear a striking resemblance to a friend of mine from the past. Pray tell, what is your name? Once I know it, I shall cease trailing you," Kyle said fervently.
"If you are American, then it is impossible for us to have met. I have never set foot in the Americas," the wizened elder spoke as he turned and strode away, waving his hand behind him and saying, "I am called Logan Stryker. Live well, until we meet again after the battle has ended."
His lonesome figure soon disappeared into the endless black night of the war-torn street, never to be seen again.
"Logan Stryker, even the surname is different," Kyle murmured to himself, his eyes filled with complex meanings.
He now understood that the stranger was not the well-known Wolverine, but rather an individual with similarities in appearance, abilities, and experiences in this parallel world of Marvel.
