Chapter 30: Creating Manga

My eyes curled up into two crescent-like moons, as a plan began to form in my mind. Rito's was a Mangaka. He created manga. I don't care if he wasn't working for Shonen Jump or not. He had the capability to draw manga, and I didn't. Sure, I could learn these skills down the line, but should I really bother with that, if I already had accessibility to it in front of me? Screw acquiring Twitter for the moment. I just realized a walking gold mine was right next door all along.

And it was 2008 now. Thinking of the stories to create, I decided to wander into my mind and ask Aura.

'Say Aura, would you happen to recall what popular Manga released back in my time? I know the big ones like One Piece and Naruto were already in the making but there were definitely others down the line, right?', I decided to ask Aura.

"There was, Master. You missed out on recently released manga like Vinland Saga, and Fairy Tail, releasing in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Your past earth has been layered with different stories from choosing them at random, but apart from that, normal places have mostly been kept intact. Minus some areas that have been shuffled around, as previously mentioned.", Aura began to explain to me.

"With that being the case, it is likely the number one manga company here in Japan, Shonen Jump, is present. If you really want to present work created by Rito's father to Shonen Jump, I won't stop you, as I too agree that would be an excellent source of funding. Of what is available to select in the coming years, the closest ones would be Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, Demon Slayer, and My Hero Academia.", Aura continued to explain.

'Quite a few options to choose from, I remember all of them being good too.', I mused to myself, trying to figure out which manga I should try and re-recreate first.

"And something to note, Master, it is a given the manga your stories are a part of do not exist in this version of Shonen Jump.", Aura reiterated.

'Well that's a given. That would be considered breaking the fourth wall, wouldn't it?', I wondered as I listened to Aura saying that.

"In a way. If you really wanted to go that route, however, I'd recommend creating a manga for Sousou no Frieren, considering that plane doesn't have any direct correlation to your current position, unlike the other stories mixed here. Nothing is stopping you from creating those manga that these stories came from, Master.", Aura explained to me.

Hearing Aura say that as a possibility, I turned quiet for a moment.

'It really is possible to make manga of the stories that were mixed into this world by God?', I mused to myself.

"I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be, Master. Those are set stories with a beginning and an end. Your current situation differs from those bound stories, what you see happen here has a good chance of not happening in those set stories. But likewise, those stories could potentially still have events that take place in your present situation.", Aura explained.

'Ah, the concept of give and take at its finest, I take it.', I inwardly said to myself after hearing Aura.

"That is one way to look at it, Master. If I were to personally give a suggestion, I do not know if the author of One Punch Man has started to draft the initial board for it, but just in case, I would propose drafting the story of My Hero Academia to Rito's father. It isn't set to release until 2014, so that should give you some time to create first drafts of that story.", Aura explained to me.

"My Hero Academia, huh? A world that's filled with superheroes and villains alike. Considering the MCU is active here, that story wouldn't be bad. It would take some time, but the Avengers will get announced to the public in 2012 after the Chitauri attack New York City, and if people get exposed to superheroes at an earlier time frame, they may not be as harsh on the Avengers...', I wondered to myself, before reaching my conclusion on the matter.

'Thank you for the explanation as always, Aura. I can feel very well of the capabilities you possess now. In my down time, I'll start working on some story drafts before presenting them to Rito's father.', I responded, revealing a smile on my face. My eyes had long since returned to normal as I had this conversation with Aura.

"I am always happy to assist you, Master. Apart from that, I would advise you to train your running for a longer period today. Your speed has drastically increased from last time, and your stamina has shot up from it too. There is no cap on Long Distance Runner, so the more you can run in a given period, the more you will be rewarded for it.", Aura said, attracting my interest.

'Got it. Perhaps I'll make a marathon of it. My main interest was mastering Karate in this given period, but if I can't pull my punches with a fast enough speed, my opponents will be able to get the upper hand over me. Need to balance both offense and attack speed.', I thought to myself.

I had another look at Rito's house at this time, wondering if I should approach it or not. Considering Mikan's current behavior, that likely wasn't the best idea. Thankfully, I saw a shadowy blur quickly arrive my way, and at a fast pace no less. Lala came to a quickening halt right before me. I could see some sweat dripping from her body, but a smile appeared on her face.

"Welcome back, Lala-chan. I am quite impressed with the running speed you've displayed. You are quite fast.", I replied, happy to see Lala's results. Hearing me say that caused Lala to smile.

"Hehe, I guess it's what I got from Papa. Us Devilukeans are naturally quite strong. That Rito made it on time at Sainan High too. But for some reason, he dove right into the panties of a pretty cute and silky black-haired girl the moment I released him. I wonder why?", Lala replied, letting out a sigh as she stopped her running. She placed her finger on her chin as she did that.

"That's because Yuuki-kun is a lucky bastard. I'm pretty sure I know who it is you are referring to as well. Must've been Yui.", I responded with a chuckle hearing Lala say that.

Yui started to develop feelings for Rito down the line, didn't she? Didn't he presently like that Haruna girl? I came across her once or twice on Monday before my suspension, and she was a pretty cute girl. But on that matter, the concept of having a harem should be foreign to Rito currently. It wouldn't be until Lala invaded his life and becoming his fiance would Rito come to accept the concept of a harem.

But with that taken out of the equation, how would that work out for him? Would he just end up with Haruna while Yui receives a heartbreak?

On those lines, that meant I was now eligible to form a harem, huh?

My mind just started to fizzle a bit the moment I uttered that, realizing that such a possibility was available to me now, if I wanted to go that route...

Lala saw my current behavior, and she tilted her head at me after calling Rito a lucky bastard. He will and forever be one, that won't change, haha!

"You really do say some strange things sometimes, Baki-kun. Either way, did you like my performance?", Lala asked me. I started to see her spade-shaped tail start to wag back and forth, acting as if she was anticipating my answer. I nodded my head and gave Lala a thumbs up.

"It went perfectly, Lala-chan. Now the real question is, can you keep up with me? Normally my training is split into three segments, but I'm going to deviate from it today, and do a long-distance running marathon. And I won't stop until I tire myself out, do you think you will be able to handle that?", I suggested.

"I'll try to keep up!", Lala happily responded, pumping her arm, showing her vigor as she did. Seeing her do that caused me to smile. Reaching downward, I began to fasten the shoelaces around my shoes extra tight, and prepared myself. I was in Baki's body now, and it was as Aura said, my strength exploded since coming here to this world. I am quite curious to see how long I can run for, and likewise to see if Lala can keep up with me. Her speed was quite splendid, now it was time to test her stamina.
