Goblins are better than me

I was finally not far from the forest, it took some time but the speed from the boots was nice, it was not like a car but more like a bicycle at high speed. The forest was surrounded by a barrier of wood to prevent hostile creatures from coming out I guess. It was high enough for me to not try to jump on top of it, I'll have to find a entrance then. I continued running and I found a guard that was walking around doing his patrol, I stopped myself so that he couldn't see me walking fast and then decide to ask him about the location of the entrance.

- Me : "Sir, do you know where is the entrance ?"

- The guard : "You just need to continue in the same way, it's not far, I wish you good luck"

- Me : "Thank you, sir, have a good day"

Was easy enough, and I continued my way at the same speed as before, in less than half an hour I was at the door, I walked to the guard at each side of the door and asked to pass.

- Me : "Hi, can I pass the door to hunt down a monster ?"

- One guard : "You can but if something happens in here, it's your problem"

They opened the big wooden door and let me go into this very dark forest, when I entered I did not see anything different from a spruce forest. I entered more deeply in the forest, taking some wooden branches and rocks to test different types of upgrades like [strength] or [fire], [decay], and other things.

It took some time to meet some monsters, they were deeper than I thought, with the little number of guards that I saw, I already knew that it was not a forest infested with monsters but still. By the way, if there is so little monster, why don't they make teams to eradicate them or other stuff ?

- Me : "Time to test all the things I upgraded"

I first used the rocks with poison, fire, decay and other enchants, poison was working exactly like the cow, the fire was very little at the start but the goblin was so dumb it had time to spread, decay made the skin black but nothing more. So after that I threw more with the same one and took notes in my head, it took me so much just to kill some of them.

- Me : "Let's try to find one goblin alone and try other sticks"

The best idea would be to find one alone but it doesn't seem very likely, so I'll take one with my enchanted vine [sticky] and take him away. When the goblin didn't even see it coming I hit him with the [strength] wooden branches. It seems to be as effective as a baseball bat, with the [sharpness] one it was as good as a knife.

- Me : "Why is my power so bad ? like do the goddess really hates me"

With all the wooden branches I took earlier and that I tried on goblins were having little to no effect on them. I killed one that was really dumb with a fire branch but it was the only real thing that was working. In fact, I know that if I try to fight them with that without hiding I would be destroyed in ten seconds.

I killed the goblin that I took away with some fire branches, he had with him a little dagger but didn't even have the time to use it. I continued to kill while hiding in the wood, I threw them to the goblins and waited for them to burn to use the dagger with [piercing] aiming at their hearts which killed them almost instantly.

- Me : "More daggers equal more tests"

I put [extend] on one of them which makes it like a retractable blade, I wanted to try to touch goblin blood and make it into something with [fire] but when I put the blood on one of the blades it put it on fire so... After that bad idea, I tried to [poison] another goblin's blood, because a blade can't be poisoned it surely will not be bad for the blade.

- Me : "Let's try more"

I searched for more goblins, letting those that I killed in the forest, I put them to the side because I didn't want people to rob them. I don't know if I can exchange them with money but I can surely sell the blade I didn't use, and also the one with more [sharpness]. I continued my way, I found out that I was not the only one hunting goblins, and I saw in the distance a little house, an unexpected discovery so I was going for it.

- A hunter : "We finally found the goblin village, let's go defeat the boss"

So it's a goblin village, and there is even a boss in it, well it's normal, but it looks more and more like a game and less like a "reality". I was following them like a shadow even though I was not that sneaky, and I saw them get absolutely destroyed by the giant goblin boss quickly.

- A hunter (the same): "Help me, I will give you all my gold, please help me..."

He was crying and trying to escape the boss with one of his legs broken, they seemed like a good team before, a tank, two warriors, and an archer, but they just got destroyed so fast. They had power like me, the tank seemed to be a defense type, the two warriors and archer a damage type, the gigantic mass of the boss easily passed through the defense, and in two hits he finished them.

Am I going to have my turn ? huh, that seems like the worst idea I could try, the boss got away from them and got back to the middle of the village. Well maybe it's a good idea if I can take the bow, I quietly took the bow from the dead archer and also her money, don't judge me, I didn't have a choice. I also took what I wanted on the other corpse, it's not a good thing I know but if it helps me to survive I'll just take it. Now is the time to try to kill the boss, but not like those guys, I am going to do it from far, like really far, I went behind a tree, took the bow, and then started boss hunting.
