A new difficult boss to fight

Because of all the monsters everywhere, I couldn't directly attack the boss even if I wanted to, which means that I had to kill every single annoying little monster to clear a good view for the boss. Last time my [true shot] arrows were working just fine because the little monsters tried to hunt me and therefore were not in the way of the arrows, here it's gonna be almost impossible to not hit them. Let's start by killing some of them from afar, arrow after arrow I cleared a little bit of them, but that was very far from enough.

And what was even more annoying was that the little monster group was starting to hunt me but they were way more than last time. I should use one of my favorite techniques, as usual, it's not a very normal method but who cares if it works. It's pretty simple killing them and when there is enough blood, using fire to destroy most of them. To make it even more efficient I put some oil on every arrow that was shot, to be safe I also shooted arrows where there is no monster to spread the oil and blood.

When I felt that monsters were coming close to me I took an arrow, put [fire] on it, and shot it immediately. It was not the smartest idea because it almost burnt my bow and my hand but it was so effective against the monster. When I was at the inn I had time to search about if the monster's blood is inflammable or not and I found pretty good results. And with some oil that I bought, I let you just imagine the good amount of fire that was spreading everywhere.

- Me : "Hopefully I did put [fire protection] on my cloak to protect me and my armor"

I also put [evasion] on it but that's just to be safe from arrows, not that it's gonna really help me right now. I let the fire spread and kill the little monsters like the goblins, but the bigger ones like the troll or skeleton fighter and some other type that I could not really define were still alive. Seems like I eliminated a good bunch but well like last time I heard a team of hunters, but why though I took the quest paper, how did they get here then ?

- Mike : "He should be here, the receptionist told me where he is"

- A guy with him : "Sure, you better pay us when we are finished"

- A second guy : "We can also get rid of the monster for more money"

- Me : "Seem like more problem"

I whispered to myself so that they couldn't hear me but they could be of some help, I could let them do the work for me and get the reward. I decided to go to the monster that was left and annoy them so that they followed me to try and kill me.

- Me : "Hey, little monster, you so dumb, come here, hehe"

It worked more than I expected, the skeleton tried to shoot me, and the troll and other monsters that were left followed me. I was running, with monsters running after me, with my speed it was enough to not get attacked and run over to the guys that tried to hunt me. They were surprised to see me come to them, but even more surprised when they saw monsters just after me.

- Mike : "Oh he is running to us, it seems like he isn't as cowardly as earlier"

- A guy with him : "He is making our work easier hehe"

- The other guy : "Huh guys, we may have a problem, he is not alone"

- Mike : "No way he did that, we should start to run too"

- The first guy : "No need, we are going to kill them all"

Seemed like they didn't move which was okay because I continued to run at them, I was pretty sure that I was still quicker than them anyway so that I can evade their blade and make them fight the monsters. When I happened to be at the same level as them I saw that the two with Mike were the same as last time. Mike doesn't really seem to have a lot of friends to help him to hunt me down and try to kill me.

- Me : "Hey guys, want to have some fun with the monster"

I ran faster, passing just on the side of them, evading a sword slash and some other attacks. While they were focused on me they got attacked from behind because of the monsters.

- Mike : "Tchhh, let's kill those annoying pests and then we will end him too"

- The rest : "Okay we will take down the skeleton archer"

- Me : "Oof, seems like I got away with my plan"

I tried to help them a little bit too because I felt guilty, with my bow I killed monsters that were attacking those three guys. With them it was pretty efficient and quick to get rid of the different monsters, they were making a pretty good team to fight against the troll, the skeletons, and everything else.

- Me : "Well thank you guys for helping, you sure you want to fight me ? it didn't end fine last time, we could just kill the boss and spread the money"

- Mike : "We could just kill you and take the money too"

- Me : "Yeah maybe but can you even kill the boss ? I have no money on me so you don't win anything at all"

- Mike : "I still hate you so there is no way we are gonna form a team to fight the boss"

Just after he said that and as if the boss was really making fun of him, this gigantic troll appeared, with a giant sword and clothes that looks like what could be worn by a giant adventurer. Because of him, Mike and his team had to defend against the attack of the troll, and I tried to help them as much as I could with my bow. We clearly weren't doing enough damage and night was slowly coming, we had to do something else to win or it will be done for today. It's not like we couldn't hunt him tomorrow but I did want to end it in a day so that I could do other things.

- Me : "Hey guys, I know you don't like me but I have a plan to get rid of him but you have all to listen to me"

- Mike : "Your plan better work or else I think we are all dead"
