"Well it looks like there are no more 'Shadow Stalkers' in sight." said the middle-aged man. Then, the two of them turned their gaze towards the front row, where their party members were fighting the Gloom Wraith. They saw that the battle was going on fiercely, with attacks and defenses occurring quickly.
The middle-aged man and the young man works as a courier watched the fight with mixed feelings. On the one hand, they felt relieved that they had managed to withstand the attack from behind, but on the other hand, they were worried about the difficulties faced by their party members at the front.
"ARGHH!!"
Kyle's scream echoed in the dark passage of the dungeon when a sudden attack from the Gloom Wraith hit his left arm. He was unaware of the rapidly approaching enemy, and the attack managed to cause quite severe burns on his left arm.
Seeing Kyle suffering from his burns, the young man works as a courier quickly reacted. He took out an intermediate grade healing potion from the small bag he was carrying and ran towards Kyle who was lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
With his hands shaking from tension, the young man opened the cap of the healing potion bottle and poured the contents towards Kyle's left arm which was hit by the attack. The healing fluid immediately went to work, easing the excruciating pain and starting the healing process on the severe burns on his left arm.
Seeing the critical situation, one of their party members who had the role of Tank reacted quickly. He saw the injured Kyle and the young man works as a courier trying to help him, and without hesitation he stepped forward to protect them.
With a sturdy body and complete protective equipment, the Tank stood in front of Kyle and the young courier boy, facing the approaching enemy. He took up a strong defensive position, ready to absorb the enemy's attacks and protect his friends behind him.
With his courage and strength, the Tank became a living shield for Kyle and the young courier. He faced the enemy's attacks bravely, undeterred despite the fierce fighting all around them.
Even though he was lying down due to his burns, Kyle was still paying close attention to the battle situation. With a firm voice, he called one of their party members, Verna, who had light magic abilities.
"Verna, shoot your light magic this way!" Kyle shouted in a loud voice, pointing at the direction where their enemies were approaching.
Verna, who was focused on the battle ahead, immediately responded to Kyle's call. He quickly directed his light magic in the direction pointed out by Kyle, preparing an attack to help strengthen their defense.
A bright light radiated from Verna's hand, filling the dungeon passage with a dazzling glow. The light magic shot towards their enemies, causing them to be distracted and giving the adventurers an advantage in the ongoing battle.
With strong light magic attacks from Verna and solid defense from the other party members, the Gloom Wraiths began to retreat back into the darkness of the dungeon. They were encouraged by the strength and determination of the adventurers, who had demonstrated their determination to fight and survive.
As the Gloom Wraith retreated, the dungeon atmosphere became calmer, but the adventurers remained alert. They knew that danger still lurked in the darkness, and they had to stay alert for any possible surprise attacks.
Even though the enemy was retreating, they remained alert. They knew that the Gloom Wraiths were not easy opponents, and it was likely that they would come back to attack even stronger.
The man who played Tank in the party stood up straight, his body was large and sturdy, creating an impressive silhouette. He was a living fortress for his comrades, ready to absorb enemy attacks and protect them with all the strength he had.
With thick protective clothing and heavy battle gear, this man exuded an undeniable aura of bravery and strength. His every move was filled with confidence, and every step showed that he was a loyal protector of his party members.
With a large and heavy weapon in hand he is ready to face any enemy that may come his way and he has sufficient combat skills to handle even the most difficult situations. He is the last guard in battle, ready to sacrifice himself to protect his comrades.
Even though his face was serious and tense, within his eyes radiated a sincere desire to protect and ensure the safety of other adventurers. He is a pillar of strength in their party, and his presence gives all party members confidence in facing any challenges they may encounter.
With eyes flashing with anger, Kyle suddenly jumped forward, catching the Tank man by the collar with unexpected strength.
"HEY!! Why are you so incapable of being a tank, huh!!" Kyle shouted in a voice full of emotion, his face flushed red from the explosive anger.
The man who was a Tank, surprised by Kyle's sudden action, looked at him with surprise and confusion. He tried to grab Kyle's hand which was tightly gripping his collar, but Kyle's strength was too much for him.
"Kyle, calm down!" shouted another party member, trying to calm the situation that was starting to escalate.
However, Kyle couldn't be stopped by those calming words. He continued to glare at the man who was Tank, demanding an explanation for the incompetence he considered a betrayal of the trust placed in him.
The face of the man whose job class was Tank looked shocked and silent, not expecting that he would become the target of Kyle's anger like this. He felt guilty and wanted to explain the situation, but the words were stuck in his throat, blocked by his stiffness and confusion.
"Shut up, you useless witch!" Kyle's voice roared with explosive anger. He blamed Verna angrily, deeming her unable to cast the spells required during the previous battle.
Verna, shocked and devastated by Kyle's barrage of harsh words, was left disappointed and hurt by the accusations. His eyes radiated sadness, but also a strong desire to defend himself.
"For God's sake, Kyle, I'm doing the best I can!" cried the woman in a trembling voice, trying to explain herself. "I tried my best to help us all, but the enemy was so strong!"
"It's not the enemy that's strong, you're so slow at casting that spell of yours!" Kyle responded in a tone full of annoyance, but this time he made it clear he was dissatisfied with Verna's skills rather than blaming the enemy's strength.
