Viktor waved them off, dismissing his deeds, saying with a slight smile "It's what Doctors should do." The police looked embarrassed.
What fucking Doctor goes into an active terrorist attack to save people?
They would like to see!
The police exchanged information and Viktor told them where the injured people were. The police thanked him one more time before leaving, taking Vanko with them.
Emma walked over and checked over his body before letting out a breath of relief, looking up at him with love in her eyes. Viktor scratched his head with Kikoku's hilt, chuckling "How many times do I have to tell you. I'm Invincible!"

Emma patted his chest and said "You really scared me! I will always be worried about you, big bear." Viktor caressed her cheek and replied softly "I know. That's one of the things I love about you." Emma leaned into his palm and looked at him gently, smiling "You were really cool before."
Viktor curled his lips and pulled her towards him, kissing her lips.
A cough was heard and Viktor's mouth twitched as he looked at Tony and Pepper helplessly.
Tony said "You know, I was looking for you all over." Viktor pointed at the buildings, saying "What do you want from me? I was treating the wounded." Tony chuckled and said "Yeah, forget about that. Dinner at your place?"
Viktor rubbed his eye and Emma agreed on their behalf, inviting them to join them.
A while later
Tony and Pepper had dinner at Viktor and Emma's house.
Pepper and Emma were chatting while Tony asked Viktor "Hey, when's my comic book coming out. Iron Man's really hot right now." Viktor looked at him helplessly, saying "Man, do you think it's easy? I have to draw everything myself, you know!"
Tony leaned back and rested his arm on the couch, laughing "I'll make an appearance on the first day, how about it?" Viktor twitched his lips and asked "Like a party clown?" Tony snapped his fingers and retorted "I prefer magician, actually."
Viktor snapped "Will you make balloon animals too? Kids will love that." Tony rolled his eyes and said "So? Do you agree or not?" Viktor waved and said "Aren't we partners anyway? Even if you didn't want to, you would have to."
Tony looked at him speechlessly, saying "You calculated me?" Viktor rubbed his fingers and grinned "What do you think? Iron Man showing up for Iron Man's comics… That's a given, right?"
Before he turned serious, saying "I want to ask you a serious question." Tony drank from a crystal glass of Cognac, jerking his head at Viktor, who asked seriously "If I start up a school, like a university or something. Would you want to be a teacher?"
Tony choked on the Cognac and put down the glass, coughing a fit into a handkerchief, looking at Viktor with a strange gaze. Viktor looked at him earnestly, adding "Emma loves teaching, so when I have enough money, I'll build her a school!"
Tony was stunned and stared at Viktor, saying "You're joking." Viktor asked back "Does it look like I'm joking?" Tony frowned and said "I have a lot of things to do, you know. Saving the world is time-consuming."
Viktor said seriously "Not now… A long time from now, maybe 10-15?" Tony frowned and said "I would be… What? 50?" Viktor rolled his eyes and explained "It would be like a big school. You know, for everyone. Like Harvard or MIT. Except we would have you, me, and whoever else I can convince."
Tony laughed "Superheroes? Teaching? I think I'm the only Superhero with enough skills to teach!" Viktor's lips curled and he said "That's not true. I know another guy." Tony raised a brow and Viktor made a shushing gesture, saying "He likes to be secretive."
Tony shook his head before pausing as he hesitated "Give me some time to think about it. I don't know what's in the future… Anyway, I have a long time." Viktor waved his hands and said "I only want you to know in advance. Obviously you're not gonna make a decision now. Just think about it and let me know when I ask you again. Don't worry too much about it, it's not super important right now."
Tony nodded and smiled "I will." Then he chuckled and leaned forward, nudging Viktor as he added "So that comic…"
The next day
Viktor was drawing up the Iron Man comic and watching TV as Tony and Rhodes got a medal from Senator Stern.
It was all fun and games, but Viktor knew this guy was Hydra!
He chuckled as he looked at the childish Senator, wondering how Hydra screens their members. This guy was a moron, how did he get into Hydra, honestly…
Matt walked into the Clinic with a book and held his cane, saying "Vick?" Viktor looked up and said "Hey, Matt. Over here." Matt smiled and walked over, sitting at the table, saying "How are you?"
Viktor replied with a smile "Not too bad, yourself?" as he looked at Matt's more expensive outfit and added with a chuckle "You look like you're doing better." Matt smiled wryly and said "The investment paid off. I also own 1% of Stark Industries… Anyway, I was looking through the contract you handed me and didn't really find anything wrong…"
Viktor looked at him seriously and Matt frowned "Though, these conditions are really harsh. This is your wife's family business?" Viktor nodded and replied "They sent that contract in the mail, she hasn't seen it or it would be in shreds right now."
Matt smiled wryly and explained "Good thing she didn't. It's forcing her to accept the inheritance through a succession clause. If she doesn't show up, she'll be fined in court for defamation damages."
Viktor was stunned and asked incredulously "You can do that?!" Matt looked strange and replied "Well, yes but no. The way it works is the plaintiff sues the defendant for damaging their inheritance through neglect. The punishments vary between millions in fines or 5 years in prison."
He rubbed his palms and added "Though, to be frank, contract law isn't my strong suit. I'm a criminal attorney. I could be mixing the laws slightly but after research, this is the most comprehensive understanding I could come up with."
Viktor rubbed his forehead and sighed in irritation, asking "So what can I do? Go kill her father?" Matt tapped his hand and said "Do YOU want to go to prison instead? Forget it. We can go to court, worst case your wife is forced to become CEO. Ideally, we win the case and reverse the situation, suing for wrongful claims and defamation."
Viktor pinched the bridge of his nose and said depressingly "How confident are you in winning the case?" Matt smiled wryly and spread his hands, replying "Like I said, I'm a criminal attorney… On a good day, I'd say 30%... That's with time to prepare all the documents and develop a counter to this absurd charge, but right now we have to either agree or go to court in 3 days. There's no time."
Viktor slammed the table and sighed "Emma's not gonna be happy…" Matt sighed, "Sorry, Vik. It's the best I can do." Viktor nodded and comforted "Don't worry, Matt. I know it's tough for you. Want a coffee?"
Matt smiled and said "Okay."
Viktor called Emma and told her about the situation. As expected she was angry…
Very angry.
She was also upset that he hid the contract from her, but Viktor told her that he was just looking because the letter seemed serious and he didn't want anything bad to happen from her tearing it up and throwing it away.
After that he told her what Matt told him and Emma was furious, telling Viktor to tell Matt that they were going to court against her father.
There was no way!
She didn't want to be CEO of that man's company.
She told Viktor that she would be back soon and hung up. Viktor rubbed his nose and looked at his phone with a wry smile before telling Matt what she said.
Matt nodded and Viktor also asked him to think about becoming a law teacher at the university he was going to set up in the future, leaking that Tony Stark was asked already and that Tony didn't seem too opposed.
Matt was stunned and looked at Viktor with a strange look, telling him that he would think about it before leaving to prepare for the court case.
Viktor continued drawing the comics and drew for most of the day in frustration. He almost drew out 3 Issues!
Needless to say, peak drawing skills plus frustration was a tonic!
Viktor wanted to do a longer series to start before doing some one shots.
He had a limited area to play with after all. The world just 'started' here and he didn't know if it was okay to write Mutant comic books. However after thinking about it for a night, he decided that it would be for the best.
My Hero was selling very well at any rate and while Viktor didn't know the response towards Mutants from it, it shouldn't be a bad thing.
He took it slow and drew an X-Men one shot.
It introduced some of the X-Men and had them fighting villains before saving the day.
It was very simple, just to introduce Mutants to the populace and turn their fear into admiration.
If he wanted to stop hiding, he needed people to accept his wife!
Needless to say, Viktor worked on this tirelessly.
