8 Poor Taxi guy...

Viktor and Emma were standing on the side of the road and Viktor suddenly shouted "Damn!" Emma looked at him and asked "What happened?" Viktor frowned and replied "I don't have my wallet."

Emma's eyes widened and she burst out laughing, hugging Viktor's arm as she bent over. Viktor looked at her embarrassingly, saying "What! It's very normal to lose your wallet, okay?!"

Emma looked up at him and pursed her lips cutely, "Of course, my big bear is the best. The wallet must've run away!" Viktor rubbed his chin and nodded, "That makes sense…" Emma giggled and leaned on him, looking up at his face as she whispered "So what are we going to do now?"

Viktor scratched his cheek and smiled "I guess walk! I was going to take a taxi, alas…"

Emma rolled her beautiful eyes and whistled, waving down a cab.

The two sat inside and Viktor asked curiously "Did you steal money from Shaw, too?" Emma pouted at him and said "Do I have to?" before turning to the taxi driver, saying "Diamond Clinic, Hell's Kitchen."

The taxi driver looked like a robot and started driving immediately.

Viktor was stunned and said "You?" Emma smiled cheekily at him, saying "Hey! I don't have any money either…" Viktor looked at her and chuckled, hugging her into his arms as he said softly "I really missed you…"

His eyes watered and he sighed "You know, I was really scared…" Emma looked at him and her lips trembled. She pulled him in and kissed his lips gently, whispering "Me too, love…"

They separated and Emma leaned her head on his shoulder, adding gently "You know, I've never met someone who will chase me around the world…" Viktor smiled gently and stroked her hair, Emma pouted angrily, "Also, I hope you never do this again! Although, I'm touched and extremely happy… That was extremely dangerous! You could've been killed who knows how many times!"

Viktor looked awkward and said quietly "But, well, you know…" Emma looked at him straight in the eyes, saying seriously "I love you but that was just reckless!" Viktor looked flustered and tried to explain himself, gesturing here and there while sweating.

Emma looked at him seriously for a moment before smiling happily "But! You looked really good coming to save me!" Viktor swallowed and blushed slightly, coughing "I w-was just doing what any real man would do!"

Emma teased, "Save the world and beat the bad guy to save the girl?"

Viktor puffed his chest and said confidently "Of course!"

Emma deflated him in an instant, saying flatly "But you almost died. I thought you died twice!" Viktor rubbed his nose and said weakly, "But I didn't…" Emma rolled her eyes in anger, shouting "But you almost did!"

Viktor's eyes rolled quickly and he changed the topic, saying "Well anyway, are we going to have a wedding?" Emma's face turned red and she looked away, whispering "Who's marrying you!?"

Viktor was distressed and she giggled "Later! Do you have enough money for a wedding?" Viktor was dumbfounded all at once.

It was true!

He was nearly broke!

Only a few hundred thousand left!

Viktor sighed and looked depressed. Emma giggled softly and leaned on him, changing the subject again "Why do you want to move?" her beautiful eyes flickering naughtily.

Viktor cleared his throat and said reasonably "Don't you think it's loud in the city? Plus, Shaw found us before, what if he comes again? Wouldn't I be out of luck then? I think we should move."

Emma suddenly asked "Are you sure it's not because of Aliens? Apocalypse? Chitauri? Loki? Thanos?" Viktor froze and looked at Emma stiffly, his face pale and worried.

Emma looked at him and smiled warmly, snuggling into his embrace as she said "I don't care where you're from, Big Bear. I loved you before, I'll love you now. Plus, you're you. You've always been you. It's not like you suddenly took over someone else's body that just happened to be my husband…"

She paused and giggled "Also, who do you think placed the barrier in your mind?" Viktor looked troubled and asked sadly "When? Why?" Emma looked at him and panicked slightly, saying quickly "I didn't mean to! When you were dying, I went into your mind to jolt you awake!"

She gripped him tightly and her eyes turned red in anxiety as she continued "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! Please don't be upset!" Viktor looked at her worried face and hugged her tightly.

He didn't speak and looked tangled before finally sighing.

He brought Emma in front of him and looked at her crying face. His lips trembled and he kissed her fiercely, pulling her into his arms tight. Emma closed her eyes and her body was overcome with relief and joy as she hooked her arms around his neck.

When they separated, Viktor panted a bit, out of breath, as he said seriously "Now that you know, we should move. Too many dangerous things happen around here…" Emma licked her lips and retorted with an ugly expression "But… Our home is here. All our memories, I don't want to just get up and leave them all behind…"

Viktor looked at her and sighed, rubbing her back as he mumbled "I guess I'll figure something out then…" Emma intertwined her fingers with his, rubbing the back of his hand with her thumb as she said softly "If you really want to, we can…"

Viktor sighed and kissed her head, replying "It's okay. I don't want you to be sad." his eyes flickered as he stared at the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

His eyes turned a little vicious for a split second before reverting to normal as he got out of the cab with Emma.

She settled the Taxi Driver and they went into the house.

Viktor looked at his house and let out a sigh of relief, smiling "Finally home." his home was a house and clinic mixed together. The first floor was a huge clinic and the topside was a massive home.

There was a door in the back that led to the house while the front was essentially a storefront. This was the house he inherited from his parents. It was really big and a bit luxurious, not exactly fitting in with Hell's Kitchen theme.

It was a strange mix but it wasn't too eye-catching as outside it looked like a normal building.

Viktor had to say, his parents were pretty smart. Before he didn't understand, but now that he knew where he was, it made a lot of sense. There are gangs and criminals everywhere in Hell's Kitchen.

In essence it was the perfect place for a clinic, but it wouldn't be good to let everyone know about your wealth so the building was designed to look as normal as possible, a bit dilapidated even.

Think about it, you're a criminal, would you steal from a mansion or a dilapidated building?

The answer is obvious!

You ditch both and rob a bank like a normal person!

Anyway…

Viktor and Emma were used to it. They were just happy to be home at this moment, nothing else mattered. Viktor grabbed Emma and pulled her in, stroking her cheek with his thumb as he smiled gently "Little Bear, I really missed you~"

He leaned over and kissed her neck gently.

Emma held him and smiled happily, humming "I missed you too, Big Bear… Mmm~" the two kissed and slowly made their way to the bedroom as clothes were strewn across the floor like a trail.

The door was shut and soft moans sounded gently.

The next morning~

Viktor opened his eyes groggily, yawning. He turned to his side and looked at the sleeping beauty next to him with a warm smile on his face. He moved in closer and hugged her gently, kissing her forehead as he cuddled her in his arms.

Emma's face has a smile on it as she moved restlessly, getting more comfortable, continuing to sleep in his arms.

Viktor smiled happily and sincerely hoped that every day continued like this…

Of course not, pal!

[DINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG~!]
